Info About Elegant Trogan Trogon elegansFormerly: Coppery-tailed Trogon Since the 1890s, the possibility of seeing a trogon has lured birdwatchers to southern Arizona. With its brilliant metallic colors and odd croaking call, the Elegant Trogon brings an exotic touch to the wooded canyons and streamside sycamores where it lives. The observer who finds one may get to watch it at leisure: rather lethargic, the trogon may sit upright on one perch for several minutes, finally departing through the trees with an undulating flight. Size11-12" (28-30 cm) FeedingDiet: Mostly insects and fruits. Feeds on a wide variety of insects, especially big ones such as katydids, cicadas, walkingsticks, and large caterpillars. Will also eat small lizards. Also eats many small fruits and berries, such as chokecherry and wild grape, especially in late summer and fall. Behavior: When foraging, perches upright, peering about rather slowly; then flutters up and takes insect or fruit in its bill while hovering momentarily before dropping to another perch. NestingSite is in cavity in tree. Usually in old flicker hole in dead tree or limb, especially in sycamores; 8-50' above the ground, typically about 25-26' up. Sometimes competes actively for nest sites with other birds, such as Sulphur-bellied Flycatchers. Little or no nest material added, eggs laid on bottom of cavity or on accumulated debris.

The Apartments
Your initial thoughts of this dwelling are that of disgust and rat ridden. The stoop outside of the two story is caked with grime and mildew that looks as if it had been there since the appearence of the Gambino family. The town house was the same dreary colour as all the others it connected too, and the old Jeep Wrangler parked down in the tiny garage space wasn't all to cheerful either.
With a gulp you ascend the dirty and trash ridden stairs and going for the doorknob you are quickly taken aback as the door swings open in greetings. It's almost as if you're walking into a light as the interior is completly.... spotless. As soon as you enter and get beyond the entrance way, a wood floor staircase moved up to the second story bedrooms, which like the rest of the area looked to be welcoming. To your left was the small living area. A sleeper sofa sits along the far wall and a reclining chair that looks like as soon as you sit in it you're instantly asleep, was kiddy-cornered to the wall, behind that a warm glow from a hanging electric lamp from the cealing which made for perfect reading light. Along the wall of these welcoming rest spots sat a 36" television set, complete in a wall unit filled with a modern stereo system and other random electronic systems. Gaming platform not to far away from these.
To the right of where you still stood in the entrance way was the kitchen. Clean as if a motherly touch had washed over it just recently, sparkled in your eyes. Not a crumb was visible anywhere within the room and as always, all of your average kitchen appliances were in there proper places. A table complete with two seats stood in the middle.
"Welcome to my humble abode. It may look clean... but I don't live here." Said the female voice as she rounded the corner from the kitchen to greet you, two steaming hot mugs of some brown liquid in her hands.. "I live in my cubicle at my office." She said, a glimer of humor in her tone as she smiled to you warmly. A pause issued between you two and she finally continued on. "Earl Gray?"
