I asked for some help from some people. They've told me I can PM a moderator who has some freetime and they can copy/paste the text of everyting that's been lost to one of us via PM. That's the best they can do.But what can we do?We can save everything using google cache!
Due to the sheer volume of what we had, it'd be better if we could save it. I'm looking for:
-Front page descriptions
-First page of posts
-Last page of posts
-Major events/plot/turning points. How do we do it? A few ways. Simplest first:
Google the following:
cache:http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewforum.php?f=6533
You'll notice that the old guild index comes up.
This is why the link to each individual thread is important.
Note that this might not bring the most recent posts/pages, specifically anything posted within this week/month. But it should bring up most other things.
Next option:

http://google.com/search?q=cache:
This'll just bring up the page itself. Click on any of the links to open another page, copy it, then replace the URL after 'cache:' with the new one. Voila!
We have approximately one week to restore everything. Time is of the essence. Cascada: Make the thread in the subforum it's supposed to be in. Post a link to the cached page at the top of it, then post the raw text (and links to pictures) after that. We'll worry about formatting later, it's text that's the most important!
Get the description post(s), first page, and last page. Then worry about the pages in the middle.
I suggest that you put the description in the first post, the first page in another post, the last page in another, and then each page in numerical order in individual posts after that. Los Angeles Nightmares:Do the same as above, but include pages you know that important plot exists on or around.
Post the threads in the Out of Town Subforum, since it's not currently in use.

Unfortunate reality for me:
I won't be able to do a lot until this Friday. I have to study/do homework all day Sunday to catch up for what I missed today, I have a mid-term on Monday, a 10 page paper due tuesday and another mid-term on Thursday. Plus nine hours worth of labs... I'll be here saving things, but there's only so much I can do with University bearing down on me.
I've given you the tools, I need you guys to do as much as you can to save as much as you can. Post the links of things that cannot be saved. Post the link to the cache of each page here as you come across them, even if you don't have time to copy all the information. Finding the info is half the battle, we can get others to post the information down later.

Gah! So, apparently the way into the old pages that I posted up in the first post doesn't work all that well. I have another way into them -the way I was doing before- but it's long and arduous, and not something I can explain so that everyone will understand it right away. I'll go about setting things up for it tomorrow morning, since it'll take a bit of explaining and there's some info that only Crew can see that's needed to complete it.

First I was afraid, I was petrified!
The posts were gone, my life flashing before my eyes!
I searched oh so many forums, asking "How could the posts be gone?"
But I grew strong, and I learned how to google on!
So now I'm back, from cyber space!
I just logged in to explain how to restore all that was erased!
There's a lot left to be done

I've got a mod in on the case and he'll be (hopefully) restoring everything that was erased. Or at least, the first and last page of most of the threads. Gah x.x
