A small boy was sitting on the counter in the break room of the Labs listening to the people as they talked. He was a sweet little boy with dark blue hair and matching eyes who had special permission to do as he wanted to do, allowed to visit here and play here but of late he found it a bit on the boring side... after all since the strange goings on down in the dungeon area thing seemed to be more stiff then ever. The Lab workers were especially dull... they always seemed to be walking on egg shells of late, they wanted to do their jobs without drawing any attention to themselves. It made him wonder why they even bothered to work in this place... but then agian one never knew, perhaps they were stuck here? The one in charge of the Labs was a man that could make deals with people, perhaps all of the workers here owed him.

He hopped down off of the counter as something more interest caught his attention, papers sitting in a large stack on the table that seemed to have small blurbs here and there... gathered information about certain demon types. They were searching for replacements, huh? Strange... he wondered if any of what were listed here were even real or if they were just that sort of 'hoping for the best' or 'dead leads' sorts... they had to find something and soon so that Vampy didn't have their hides he heard one of them say as he crumbled up a piece of paper and gave it a toss. It bounced off the wall and came to land in front of the boy's feet. He blinked a couple times as he reached down to pick it up, reading it over before giving a little laugh. Silly adults anyway he thought to himself as he abandoned the room.

He was bored... wanted to find someone his own age to play with which mean finding some of the other spawn from this place. Surely there would be some that could be fun if given the chance... he trotted down the hallway, whistling to himself. It was amusing to him, how much the adults didn't seem to care when a child was in their midst, they were to busy to even give him a glance which allowed him to roam about how he wanted. That he also had his aura drawn in to the point that it was almost nonexistent made it so that the one in charge here wouldn't even realize he was present unless they crossed paths. This made it easier for him to do as he wanted, first thing was first... he would find some playmates and from there... he thought to himself, they were going to go fishing. It was a human way of passing the time and he knew of a pretty pond that had held some pretty fish that people rarely went to anymore due to it being a bit out of the way.

He lifted one small hand to run it along the wall, leaving behind a small note that would be visible only to the ones that he was seeking out, those his own age he could play with, though it might get noticed by someone who had the power to sense magic. As such the small note was left on a sort to timer that made it so it would dissolve before long. It was merely a simple invitation to come along with him fishing, it was sure to be a ton of fun!

Left behind on the note was a place and time for the people who saw it to meet. A small park not to terribly far from here which was where they would start out before they headed out on their trip.

Cody couldn’t help himself as he bounced lightly in the backseat of his guardian’s car. It had seemingly been ages since he had last seen his friend, Edes. In fact, he hadn’t really met any new spawn or seen anyone from the facility in a while save for his new friend, Zuba. Then, out of the blue he had been asked to go on a mini fishing trip with the one friend he seemed to miss the most, Edes. Shadai had managed to find some fishing gear for him to use and almost as soon as they had paid, they were heading off to the location of their fishing trip.

Shadai couldn’t help, but giggle at how excited Cody seemed to be. He had been acting ever so lonely the past couple of weeks, it was saddening to watch. All he did was mope around the house with little interest in much of anything. That alone had worried her greatly and so, the phone call asking for Cody to join Noel and Edes fishing had been exactly what they needed, especially when he instantly perked up and regained his usual, if not slightly more energetic, behavior.

As they arrived Cody all but dove out of the car and rushed over to where Edes was, stopping dead in his tracks upon noticing his sudden growth. “Edes! You grew,” Cody gasped, grinning excitedly. Edes was a little shorter than himself, but not by much. He couldn’t help but admire how soft his wings looked and gave him a hug, still ecstatic about the whole thing.

As Shadai walked over, she noticed Cody release Edes from his probably suffocating hug and go about inspecting all the new features and changes he had gone through. “Ah, Edes grew I see. I hope it didn’t shock you as much as me,” she said softly to Noel, giggling. “And thanks for inviting him, he’s been rather lonely.”

The first two weren't so bad, they were interesting enough children and he found himself wondering what they were born of. Each of the children from that place were born of one angel and one demon, interesting mixes to be sure. He gave a smile as he trotted forward from where he'd been standing and then he perked up at the third boy that appeared. Well now... that was interesting turn of events. He didn't think that he was going to be coming or even let off his leash.

He watched for a long moment before crossing his arms behind his head. So there were parents along, that could be a bit of trouble but he supposed but this could be dealt with... he just had to get rid of them was all, "I thank you for dropping off the boys for the trip, we will be heading out from here on our own but if you would like to leave a number I can call you when the event is done." He said as he stepped forth from where he was standing, for the moment appearing as an adult himself. His long, dark blue hair was tied back at the nap of his neck and his eyes were shining in a delighted manner.

The young man was wearing one of the Lab Coats similar to the ones that the workers at the Labs wore as though to show he was a part of the Labs that the boys were created at.

Cody gasped as Pepper embraced him in an almost crushing hug. "Hi Pepper, it's been a while," he greeted, grinning happily. How odd for him to have known about this little fishing expedition, but he didn't think too much on it as he was released.

"You grew too, I see." Ok, now he was a little disappointed, mostly because everyone else seemed to have grown and he, himself, had not. Ah, well, he would eventually it seemed. "Fishing? It where you catch fishes I think," he replied, glancing at the man who seemed to appear out of nowhere, wearing that same coat the techs wore. That alone put him on edge as he had never exactly liked them, even after his little stealing expedition with Pepper before.

Shadai glanced down at Cody, uneasy about leaving him alone. Yet, if Pepper, who looked a lot older and far more fierce than either of them, was going then he had to be at least somewhat safe. "Alright; well, looks like I have to go Cody. Make sure you call me if anything happens," she muttered, giving the child one last hug before heading off for home.

Cody watched his mother leave before turning his gaze to the man standing not too far away. "Well... Now what?" he asked, glancing over at Pepper, then to Edes on his other side. Somehow, he knew this might not end well...

The blue eyed male watched quietly as the pair of parents left before he gave a bit of a smile. Well now... that had been so much easier then he had first expected. In fact he'd almost thought that the parents might give him problems when it came to getting them to leave. It would appear that wasn't the case though, was it? He smiled as he looked first to Edes and Cody who seemed a bit uneasy then to Pepper who seemed more aggressive then anything, not that he was surprised in the least.

He gave a little laugh at the way that Pepper pointed at him and seemed to be calling him out. He gave a little shrug of his shoulders, "Eh, I suppose that you caught me." He said, slipping off the coat and as he did he seemed to shrink, returning to a much smaller and compact size, "There we go, how I dislike that bigger form... its just so not me." He murmured, turning to look at his friends now that they were on the same level as the other children.

"I knew they wouldn't let us go play if they didn't think there was a parent among the group." He told the rest of the group, "So! Did we want to head out then? There is a rather interesting place to fish not far from here, one never knows what they might catch there."

Cody watched as Edes, without warning or even thinking of what could happen, suddenly ran over to the strange new individual to poke and question him. "Edes!" he whispered, gently pulling Edes back over to where he and Pepper stood previously.

"You don't just go up t' someone you don' know and randomly talk to them, much less poke them," Cody whispered to him, watching the previously far older child carefully. Something definitely wasn't right about him... He didn't voice his thoughts to either Edes or Pepper, since he figured Pepper was thinking the same thing and Edes didn't care.

He gave a smile, "Its a useful trick that I learned, best way to avoid having to deal with adults is to be able to pretend to be one." He said, giving Edes a smile and a wink, "Sure, I would like for us to be friends." Sloth and Kindness, eh? That was a most interesting mix he thought to himself, left the kid open to the idea of making friends even when some of those around him didn't seem to trust.

He looked at Cody as the redhead pulled Edes back to him and Pepper, a little disappointing that it would seem he would be harder to win over to being friends with but it wasn't so bad. This could still be fun!

He was about to answer Edes's question about the fishing when suddenly he found himself grabbed hold of by Pepper. He blinked a couple of times before he gave a little giggle, not seeming to be intimidated or worried, instead he seemed to perhaps think that it was all some sort of game?

"Fishing! It will be fun, we are going to a special place where we can catch special stuff! Magic fish and the like, its why we had to go alone. Its not a place that parents can go too." He murmured, turning on his heel and pointed toward the path that was a little overgrown, "Come on then, lets go and see what we can catch!"

Cody blinked at what Edes said, a little shocked Edes wasn't as on edge as him or Pepper. Well... He WAS part kindness and probably didn't care so long as he gained a friend in the process.

So... Magical fish is what they were going after? That was unusual to say the least, so he couldn't help but grab his fishing rod and follow the two as they headed down the pathway. Magic always managed to fascinate him somehow, so it wasn't that hard of a choice after Edes began to follow the kid. He glanced back at Pepper, wondering if he had given in to follow the strange individual as well.

"Yeah, what is your name?" Cody echoed, reluctant to give up his name quite yet, but he was sure he already knew it anyways.
