Ellandra was curled up in her and Faolan's bed, catching a short nap while the twins were both asleep, the Essentics were out, and Faolan was off. . . . doing. . .. something, she didn't really remember what, her mind was too unfocused and sleepy right now. Idly, she stretched and looked around, wondering what had woken her - it hadn't been the babies, she knew that much, and it wasn't Rhian or Ziazan. That left Faolan or, well, anyone else at Farstep and beyond.

"Mmm," she mumbled, stretching and climbing out of the bed, arranging her hair and skirt as she checked in on the babies and then went to the front room, wondering who and what was at the door. "Mmm... oh, goodness, I'm still sleepy," Ellandra murmured to herself as she stepped into the front room, pausing to yawn and peer about to see if Faolan had entered or if she would need to get the door for whoever else it might be.

Yawning again, Ellandra went and opened the door for Faolan, rubbing at her eyes a bit. "Oh, Faolan, it is you, where did you go-ooooooh!" The brunette's sentence mutated into a gasp of surprise as she saw how buried her husband was in mysterious items. "My goodness, let me help you with that before you fall over!" She yelped, scurrying over to him and taking some of the packages that were in his arms, trying to help her husband out a bit.

"Yes, but it's not a problem," Ellandra sad, smiling at her husband and peering at the packages she held, then at the box in his arms. She blinked. "Faolan, did that box just make a noise?" Surely not. . . what in the world would Faolan have gotten that moved? She must have been imagining things, her mind still sleep-fuzzed.

Ellandra gasped and took the puppy into her arms, cooing over the little mass of wriggly fur with floppy, curl-covered ears. "She's adorable, Faolan - and who's this?" She asked, peeking at the wrinkly puppy that was just barely visible out of the box. All the while, she stroked the ears of the little puppy she held, and after a moment she looked back at Faolan. "Do they have names, Faolan?"

Ellandra laughed softly as well while her own puppy sniffed her over, then promptly curled up in a ball and looked around as if to say "Well, here I am, love me now!". "Well, what will you call that little fellow then, hmm? This little girl seems to have a touch of royalty about her behavior. . ."

"Oh, don't just call him Dog, that's cruel," Ellandra said, sticking her tongue out at Faolan. "That would be like naming Sam and Bel "Boy" and "Girl". She stroked her regal little puppies ears, prompting some licking from the little puppy. "As for this little one. . . well, she's quite the little lady, so. . .. " She picked the puppy up and brought her nose to nose, earning a lick on the nose for her trouble. "Your name is Contessa." The puppy gave a soft wuff, almost sounding approving.

Cuddling her puppy, Ellandra looked over to Faolan. "Think of anything yet, Faolan?"

Ellandra smiled at the newly-named Bert and looked up at Faolan. "Definitely a Bert," she said, then watched as her puppy wriggled out of her lap and made her way over to Bert, sniffing him over, then wuffing softly, and finally tugging on an ear a little as if to say "Wake up, lazy!". "Contessa and Bert. . . somehow that seems absolutely perfect," Ellandra said, retrieving her curly-furred moppet and letting her settle into her lap again.
