How the ******** are people like famous? I don't know much about psychology but neither does Dr.Phil apparently,he seems like just point out obvious things and offer common sense advice nothing at all special.He also just seems like exploit people for his own advantage and ruin just as many families as he helps.

this probably won't help either: first time i saw him, i thought he was a criminal (doesn't help that i was in high school, and the first time i saw Dr. Phil, i thought he looked like Vanzetti from my history textbook. talk about killing credibility there. 'you're taking advice from an accused murderer? are you high or just stupid?')my husband hates him. thinks he's really mean to everybody, and doesn't get why he's famous for yelling at people.
it's obviously meant for publicity whores who end up so shocked that they're getting yelled at on national television. now it looks like jerry springer got more credibility than dr phil. it's sad i'm saying that.
JERRY SPRINGER HAS MORE CREDIBILITY AND DECENCY THAN DR. PHIL.

He's popular because most people lack common sense... which is all the people on his show need to fix their dumb problems that they go on Dr. Phil for.

Hawk, you forgot one part of that. It'd be more like:
Mother: I beat my kids.
Kid: She's a dumb slut!
Father: I do drugs...Sometimes I share with te kids. That's good right? Sharing?
Phil: Sharing is always good. BUT NOT DRUGS!!!
Father: *cries*
Phil biggrin ON'T CALL YOUR MOTHER A DUMB SLUT!!
Kid: *cries*
Phil: DOn't beat your kids, that's never a good thing to do.
Mother: *expecting yelling* ....Okay..?
Phil: Well until next time! *slips mother a note saying: You're hot and I'm a creep so let's go to my mansion of solid gold, beat imaginary kids, and do it.
Mother: *twitch. twitch*
Dr. Phil is a freaking creeper. I seriously do not see WHY he is so famous. I mean, all he's doing is yelling at people who are stupid enough to bring their problems onto national television.
Same thing with Judge Judy/Brown/whatever.
Except they don't yell. THey just give you evil looks and court citations.
