Haha, I love how I've been designated event planner. Well, that's okay. Yama is planning for a real Halloween party too! I love Halloween. She and I are going as catgirls. Haha we have those nifty convention ears and everything--the plastic ones with the feathers. I'm super excited. I'll start coming up with some ideas here.
Let me ask you guys a few things though such as...
Do you want an interactive (AKA: takes place in one day) sort of event or would you like contests for creative arts such as drawings, poems, or short stories?

Since it's been 5 days (or so) and no one seems to take interest, does that mean that people don't want a centralized event for Halloween? I know every year a lot of people are super busy with doing Halloween stuff for Gaia and also for IRL. We could always have our event earlier or later. Or even in the actual Halloween event main forum. smile

Gah, I should have checked this thread sooner~! sweatdrop I think we're still interested, but we've been wondering who's planing what. LOL. I think it would be a good idea to have the event within this week since it's the week of. I'm probably going to be busy on the actual day.
Some ideas:
Bumping contest
Random number generator win a prize
Display carved pumpkins
Halloween tektek contest

I was considering doing an avatar contest (with a prize) IdeasAvatar ContestTek-tek creation Real avatar Art Contest These are ones that can stretch over a few days. Also, I can come up with a few halloween riddles for prizes as well. All in all, I think we'll have a good time. Would you guys prefer this thread to be based in the event forum or the guild form? Because I'm thinking that a lot of people will want to be in the event forum...and if we're there then maybe we can recruit some new super special awesome people too. smile

I really love the pumpkin idea! I think we should have a contest displaying our best carved pumpkins! (unfortunately I wasn't able to buy one this year...but I had a great one last year!)
I also like the idea of the avatar contest. I think we aught to do both the tektek and real. One thread, post what you're entering for (real or tektek) and perhaps have a few different categories. Then a panel of judges (people who didn't participate) can vote, or we can do polls to vote for the winners.
I'm willing to help run contests as well as donate an old letter as a prize for something. (I have some pretty good ones lying around still!)

I think I'd prefer to keep it in the Guild. I think that we might invite other people to join in some fun in the official forum so as to generate more interest and get the Guild's name out there more, but I'd rather keep the main contests and stuff in the Guild. That way random people don't show up, win some prizes and we never hear from them again.
