Hello, I wanted to start a post about books, any books. I want to know what people think about what they are reading, be it good or bad, old or new, popular or obscure. All I ask is that topics stay appropriate, if you can't say it on the radio you shouldn't write it here XD . I'll start off. I recently went through a phase of wanting to read originals. My most recent was Bram Stoker's Dracula. What with the whole vampire craze thing I wanted to read one of the first great vampire stories. I would actually really recommend this book. It's truly a great read. This is how vampires are supposed to be, evil and bloodthirsty.

I've recently started reading the Chronicles of Narnia for no particular reasons. I found the books in my parent's attic and figured I'd give them a try. I'm on the last book and so far I've grown quite fond of them.

Jane Eyre was indeed a great read and also one of my favorites. For those interested in older literature I would recommend The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde. Its a great look at human nature.

I've been wanting to read Dracula for a while, but haven't managed to find it anywhere sad
For classics, I love Oliver Twist, Man in the Iron Mask and the Three Musketeers.
Currently reading Frankenstein, it's a lot different to what I thought it would be like.

Oliver Twist was a really good read, and you are right, Frankenstein is not exactly what you would expect, however i still found to be an enjoyable read. I am currently reading Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carol, i believe, and all i can say is that Disney did not do it any justice what so ever. I hope the film that is to come is much better. It is a really good read. I am also in the process of reading all of the sherlock holmes books. all I have to say for those is FANTASTIC ^_^ i recommend those books to anyone who loves mystery books.

I loved World War Z and would also recommend The Zombie Survival Guide. This book will save your life one day XD There is no zombie book that will save your life in the zombie apocalypse. I actually have another guild about zombies, and we have argued that The Zombie Survival Guide is pretty useless. (It recomends a shaolin spade and says to only carry 75 rounds of ammo. Seriously?)

I went through a phase where I was reading books about anything unique-like. Especially ones around the world of self-harm? So irritating, I found that to be rather personal and the way the author, every author painted their character was irritable. Like they were clearly strange, distressed and craved cutting themselves like a drug D:
On a positive note, I read a book a while back called Fat Kid Rules the World? Great read. (:

wow, so i have not been on here for a while XD oh well. I have read a bunch of things though. I read American Gods, which is one of the most awesome books there is, especially for those who love a good twist and even better villain. I also finished The Art of War by Sun-Tzu, that book is amazing. it is interesting to note that a lot of the things held to be true about war then are still true today, and that a lot of those tactics can be applied to more than just fighting. I am currently reading The Lovely Bones. I saw the movie first and it was good but the book, like almost always, is better. if you liked the movie then please read the book. its amazing.

"The Way of War is a Way of Deception. When able, feign inability; when deploying troops, appear not to be. When near, appear far; when far, appear near. Lure with bait; Strike with Chaos." - Sun-Tzu, The Art of War
