The key is about how you approach the drawing. By the drawing i can tell you are approaching it by the contour. Meaning you know the figure and you draw the outline of the figure. What you want to do is approach it like a 3d object. As if you are making a sculpture. The paper is you piece of marble and your pencil is your chisel and hammer. Although you have to know the contour (outline) of your figure you have to sculpt it like a 3d object. Use your pencil to mark likes that describes the direction of the mass or matter. Imagine it like using a chisel to scrap in the direction you need to make the sculpture 3 dimensions. Instead of scraping you are marking lines, this will also help you with your shadows because once you understand your drawing as a 3d object its much easier to know where to put the shadows according to light source. For reference on this tecnique you can research michaelangelo sketches online.

ok this is aboutg my RP thing... i forgot that this isnt one of the many RP guilds i play on so oops... sweatdrop sweatdrop oh and i think your WAY better then me so i dont have any tips for you!!
