I still haven't seen episode III and yes, I think this is a crime. However, I really haven't gotten the same love out of the new movies that I had for the old.
Then again, there was always Qui Gon Jin. . . . mrgreen

Ravenmichiru I still haven't seen episode III and yes, I think this is a crime. M'am I'm going to have to place you under arrest for attempting to operate a geekicular conversation with an expired geek license. You're going to have to come with me. Once you've beaten Zork, Watched entire story arc of 70's Dr. Who, and can name 20 alien races and their planets of origin from the Sci Fi series of your choice, I'll be willing to reinstate your license and let you out on probation.

You at least have to look through the star wars RPG manuals and play the hitchhikers guide game then maybe. There will be a test too. wink

I always enjoyed the movies, but more than that I enjoyed the universe that they created. I love the alien races and different planets, there's so much depth an interest in the SW universe. I don't play the tabletop RPGS, but I do enjoy collecting the manuals and getting more depth about the characters, races and environments.
In that same vein I absolutely love the games. I love hoe they expand on the concepts and bring in plausible new ones and interesting stories and characters. The Jedi Knight series is one of my favorite PC titles and Knights of the old republic gave me a horrible addiction (though I have to confess I never did get around to beating it because a game glitch really annoyed me, though I'm right at the end and could easily finish it up). I'm almost always excited to see a new star wars game they rarely let me down. (though those SNES releases were freaking impossible...)
My favorite alien races are the sand people (tusken raiders) and hutts. It's weird combination and I can't really explain why I gravitated towards those two the most. Though who couldn't love a hutt laugh? IO collect tusken raider action figures too, because I'm a super nerd like that. smile

I love the old movies better than the new ones but I've watched all of them over and over again. A group of friends and I all went to the midnight showings of all the new Star Wars but they never had the same feel as the originals. I saw the originals in the theatres during their first releases. I'll never forget walking into a brightly lit theatre from Luke's desert planet to having my grandparents drop my brother and I off in front of the theatre to see Empire. And I'll never ever forget how hard I laughed during Jedi when the college guy in front of me screamed near the end of the movie, "Come on, Darth! Do something!" rofl

I agree that they really didn't have the same feel at all, they weren't really bad, just "meh"comparatively.

I watched star wars since I could remember...for me star wars is a memorable childhood film... the storyline and the characters are all so great and unique in its own way...
I prefer the old episodes than the new one though Hayden played an awesome Anakin Skywalker and Ewan was an awesome Obi-One... but one thing's for sure... Han Solo rocks with Chewbacca... ninja

I'm intrigued by the thought of Star Wars Godzilla though, that sounds like the type of crossover I'd enjoy. xd

In honor of Star wars day, I share with you all my favorite quote from the star wars universe.
"Get out of my bar, you always cause trouble"
I use that quote in daily conversation, it's a rather obscure one as an NPC says it to Kyle in the first Jedi Knight game (dark forces II). be sure to share some of your star wars love, today. heart
