History: Uuni comes from a family with a strong holdview and a wide variety of talents. She has two older sisters. One is supportive and kind, and the other is harsh, stern, and down to business. On her mother’s side, there lies a very quiet, smart woman who takes delight in the studies of histories, records, and all of that boring bookwork.

Her father makes his knowledge apparent in building designs, holding locations, and all of the logical and detailed workings of what is required to sustain a community in a given area.

With such a talented family, it’s only natural that Uuni herself should have some inborn talent, right? No. Except maybe sex, but it is not a talent her parents condone.

The most of her life has been spent making do with her small persona in such a successful world of people. She’d help out every member of the family because she had to, and whenever she could manage, she used the comfort of someone else’s house and someone else’s bed to get out of her house.

By age twelve, Uuni and her family had relocated to Ista Hold. Their original location and most of her bloodlines are that of a minor Hold in a Northern, cold climate.

Because of her hate for her family, Uuni sprung on the opportunity to leave. At age 17 a brown dragon on the search removed her from the boring, mundane life that was home to Ista Weyr. She met another young woman in candicacy and although the relationship developed into love and monogamy, it ended badly. The girl grew a paranoia that she would die before her nineteenth turn that eventually did end in her death.

The trauma was suppressed in Uuni's mind in an act of her brain's extreme mental defense. She went through a series of 'lingering' turns where she remembered only what strange fanciful history she'd made up for herself surrounding the years in question. It seemed the people in the Weyr would not let her skip away from life so easily and after a an aggravating turn of trying to convince people they were wrong, despite pressing evidence she finally gave up and went to a mind-healer.

Obviously rather nerved by all the things that were uncovered, Uuni did what she normally does when any problem comes forth that she simply cannot solve - she runs away. The fact that High Reaches Weyr had a clutch (and therefore a potential to Impress), made it just that more desirable. There are no memory-triggers at High Reaches, it's in the cold climate like her original homeland, it's not overcrowded, and best of all, it's the easiest way to break touch with her family entirely.

Appearance: [x] [x] No matter how hard she tries, Uuni simply can’t get a tan. Her skin is on the whiter side of the inhabitants of her Hold. This doesn’t seem to bother her any; it helps to flaunt her waist-length and naturally very dark hair and brings her nice features to focus. She’s been told she was beautiful before, but she generally tends to laugh and move on. Maybe it’s the pale blue eyes or the fact that she’s generally smiling, but there’s no doubting that she has looks.

These compliments probably have nothing to do with her chest size. There are many days where she goes without a supporting undergarment because she simply does not need one. There’s a chance that these comments have to do with her waist and hips as she’s been genetically blessed with swift curves.

When it comes to muscle structure, Uuni has a thin body but everywhere but her waist (and breasts) seem to be thickening with age. And when it comes to clothes, Uuni has a distinct hate for pants. Not only do they not fit her sometimes because of the growth in her hips in the last few years, but they’re absolutely uncomfortable to wear. However, anything but pants is generally considered acceptable. A nicely cut garment that brings attention to her legs is probably preferred.

Personality: Uuni is an off/on type of personality. She has a happy, go-getting nature, and it is almost impossible to get her angry. Her most often expressed emotions are confusion and flirtatious joy. On more unique occasions, a bit of annoyance will join the emotional bunch.

It is her spontaneous nature that makes her life the most exciting. If there's something that she can possibly do, she's not afraid to try. Failure? She's used to it, and it hardly phases her anymore. Rejection is another normal concern to be cast to the wind. In general, Uuni has little care or reason for her own physical being. She has to stay unscarred enough to get looks, but she has a lot of blatant disregard for her own well-being.

Despite all this, she can't escape at least a minute sense of responsibility that has been ingrained into her from being born to a Hold family. Although she claims time and time again that she has little care or reason for other people, little bits of her morality spark up in several instances. If someone helps her out in a pickle, she goes out of her way to pay them back, but may very well never wish to speak to them again after that fact. She also doesn't want to be seen doing anything particularly nice for anyone, so she goes out of her way to make sure no one knows. Uuni generally only allows herself to stay around people that can deal with the type of person she is, and she generally refuses both friends and potential long-term lovers for fear of attachments growing on. The moment something becomes a friend or cared about, they become a responsibility and Uuni takes on as little of this as is possible.

Coming to more material responsibilities like chores, Uuni has a slightly different approach. They're a good distraction, and she gets them done. They aren't done with any 'hard-work', but they also aren't slacked off on. Like many things in life, they just get done and have to be moved out of the way.

Above all, Uuni does not believe in violence. She may think about it, and sometimes make very vocal exclamations of frustrations, but under no circumstance would she raise a hand to strike another.

Besides her general personality, Uuni traditionally used sexual interaction to chase away stress (she's not a nymphomaniac, she doesn't use it for intimacy, and more importantly she doesn't need the contact nor is she entirely reliant upon it). It was for this reason that she could remain so upbeat, but it also made it very hard for her to make friends. Now, however, with traumatic memories back in action, Uuni is having trouble even using that method to relax. There is a lot of guilt she faces with any sort of sexual interaction and it may take her another turn before she is mentally ready to slide back into her old habits.

In the mean time, she has a higher level of stress, and is having trouble, but is slowly learning other methods of coping with this stress. She knows full well that if she isn't emotionally stable, or close enough to it that a dragon will not be alarmed, she will not Impress. If she does not, she's destined for home - a place where there is no future, freedom, or potential - and she is, though she won't admit, extremely scared of having to face the Hold world again without support (albeit this lack of support is entirely her fault). In essence, she realizes that Impressing a dragon, someone she can finally relate to without fear of abandonment, is really her only option.

It might be noted that she has a timidness around adult dragons. She does just fine with the baby dragons, but past a certain size, Uuni would rather avoid them than greet them. It's a fear that she can likely be worked through, but it also stunts some of her potential friendships with older dragon riders.
