Many small visits to various places seemed like a good idea for Iah if you asked Duncan, to be able to go stretch his legs, meet new people, and hopefully get a bit more social. He wanted him to perhaps get a little tougher and stand up against his rather grouchy and possessive tentacles. Sure he knew how they felt, he was as bad when it came to his possessive feelings for Adriel but he would like for Iah to be able to make friends one day... having such tentacles as the ones he had were going to make that hard. He gave a gentle ruffle to his son's hair in a quick manner, he was learning how to be affectionate without getting pummeled. One just had to be fast was all.
"We will be going for a walk this time." He told the boy who looked as though he would just rather be staying home with his Mommy. When he was with Adriel he could relax because Chii and Fuu made his tentacles behave. Out and about they were allowed to misbehave in ways he didn't like...
He looked up at his Father for a long moment before nodding and sighing, he just wanted to go home but... he supposed he had to do this. At least he got to meet people... that was a plus, right?

Under his father's watchful eye, Frey, who had proven himself a dutiful and responsible boy already, had been allowed to sit just outside the ice-cream shop that Tobias Frost ran, to doodle on the sidewalk with chalk, which was thick and blocky and friendly for little hands and their unsteady grip. Still, what Tobias had not quite accounted for as he sat at a nearby table was the fact that Loki, Frey's oversized tentacle, had grabbed hold of the pink and was currently doing its very damnedest to smudge the chalk on the small boy's face and other areas.
For his part, the patient Frey had simply bent his head to his chalk drawings, which consisted of a stick-figure with a big purple tentacle poking out of one side and a taller one with fluffy hair, both carrying ice-cream cones as big as their heads. The toddler had his tongue poking out one corner of his mouth, patiently ignoring the fumbly proddings of the mischievous, lusty tentacle, which settled down to stroking at Frey in a decidedly unchildlike manner. The boy was doing a very good job of ignoring it, however, humming rather sweetly as he worked on his art project.

Iah found his trio of eyes looking around, back and forth, and he was wondering how longer they were going to be out walking this time. He was hoping that it wouldn't be all that long and was able to sigh again when his eyes spotted something that he did see as rather interesting... there was a tentacle! His eyes widened and he took a half step forward before Duncan clearing his throat caused him to give pause. He looked up at him then back to the boy that had the big tentacle and he lifted a hand to point at him.
Duncan turned to look at where his son was pointing before he gave a nod of his head, "Yeah, I see him. Your not crossing the street on your own though." He told him.
Iah nodded and lifted his hands up to catch hold of one of his father's hands even if that roused his tentacles form where they had been wrapped around him in their normal, possessive manner and set to smacking Duncan in hopes of getting him to let go as they started across the street and toward the other boy. That Iah was interested in him was a good sign... maybe he could make a friend in this one?

Humming, Frey looked up to wipe a smudge of pink chalk off his cheek as he inspected his artwork on the sidewalk. Hm. His Daddy's feathery antennae didn't look quite right, he thought, and bending his head, he worked carefully with the chalk in little scribbles.
When the little spawn looked back up, he caught sight of another one, his size, walking across the street. Gleefully, Frey's golden-and-green eyes widened and brightened. "Dadda," crooned the spawn delightedly, "there's a boy!" He'd begun to wiggle. For its part, the oversized tentacle began to wriggle gleefully, reaching out toward the other as the child was too restrained to do. "Loki, sto-op!"

Iah gave a little jump as the other noticed him and caused out to his 'Dadda' in a happy sort of manner. He lifted his gaze to looked up at his own Father for a long moment before giving him a slight smile. He turned his attention for a moment to the other boy and chanced to lift one hand up to wave at him. As he did so the tentacle that was located on the same side as the waving arm before wrapping around it and tugging it down. The tentacles weren't the sort to share so seeing 'their' boy waving at someone else caused them to react in a rather jealous fashion.
Duncan gazed at the limbs for a moment before giving a sigh and a roll of his eyes. Silly things... though at least they were going to keep him safe in the future he thought to himself, "Afternoon." He greeted Frey given he knew Iah wasn't going to say anything no matter if he were interested or not, he was a bit on the quiet side.

Though the wave was pre-emptively aborted, Frey was still smiling as he returned it with his own enthusiastic one, a little dark-nailed hand covered in chalk rising and waving back. However, when greeted, he paused, tilting his head. Fluffy grey hair fell across his field of vision, half-obscuring his golden gaze as he peered up at Duncan. Tall, he decided, much bigger than Frey. But he had a little boy with him, too, so that meant he must be okay to talk to, right? "Hihi," murmured Frey with a big smile, and wrapped his arms carefully around Loki, reeling in the too-big tentacle as best he could, though the purple flesh wriggled and tried to escape his grasp. "Be good," he mumbled to the tentacle, protestingly.
