What Software do you use to record your guitar/music?
I'm currently using Sonar 4 Producer edition, and I'm learning Digital Performer 5 and Reason. I've also used Amplitude and guitar rig to simulate amps DI, but I prefer micing the old fashion way.

I'm using Sonar, its great and all once you get everything set up and tweaked so that it will perform with your computers cababilities (thats a journey of its own), but I'm havin a B@#$ of time getting it to recognize/work with my toneport.

You may need to buy a new sound card. That's what i had to do neutral

i'm a music technology major in college, so i'm learning how to use all of those programs. my favorite so far is probably pro tools. we got to see a recording demo with it, and it was simply amazing. i can't wait to see what everything else can do.

my friend is a master at using the pirate bay withought getting viruses, so i turned the other cheek and let him get me the new ableton. he also got me reason. i haven't gotten to use them yet. but i recorded a couple of tracks for my myspace using audacity. only problem is quality gets drained from converting the finished file. otherwise, audacity is a good starting free software.
