History:
Daughter of Sr. journeymen beastcrafters, Anale grew up around animals and always thought she would follow in her parents footsteps. She was two years into her formalized training when she was searched out and brought to High Reaches. Jred and Simalie are ecstatic to have their daughter searched, but Anale is torn between the excitement of her potential to be a rider, and her dream of being a beasthealer craftmaster.
Disappointed by the hatching she attended, with all its drama and bloodshed and her failure to impress, she's become determined to continue her healer craft. She's a failed candidate, but she'll be the best dragon healer there is, she's promised herself.
Appearance:
5'2" ish, Anale is average in just about every way. Neither tall nor short, fat or thin, she's growing up to be a nicely rounded woman of middle height. Her complexion tends towards the fair side, though she's usually a nice brown from all the time she spends outside with the herds and flocks. Her hair hangs just below her shoulder blades and is a deep red color, somewhere between red and brown, and curls loosely. Her most prominent feature is her bright green eyes, flecked in gold.
Personality:
Anale is pragmatic and down to earth. She has an earthy sense of humor and would sooner laugh at a physical prank that at some high-brow, involved joke. Of course, that's assuming she's comfortable enough with you to laugh at your jokes. Typically, she's no non-sense when it comes to people, disliking things like drama and attention-whoring, which might stem from the fact that she feels more comfortable with animals.
She loves animals of all kinds and is passionate about her craft of healing them. She has no particular preference about what she heals, and if there is animal hurt, she'll drop just about anything to be there and up to her elbows in it's care. She also has a knack of making animals trust her, which might come from her great patience and gentleness, but an awkwardness around people that she doesn't know well. She doesn't make friends easily and needs time to feel comfortable enough with someone to open up to them.
With few friends, Anale prefers to be in the stable or in the windowseat in her room reading a book. She's not really a book worm, but the adventures and great things she reads about help to fill the time she doesn't spend with her animals. She's notorious at home for bringing in strays and hurt animals, and her family sports a menagerie of different pets.
She's easily jealous and it often translates into her pushing herself harder than she should so she can 'catch up' with whomever she sees that's better at something than she is, even if said person is a craftmaster. She has a hard time accepting failure as well. She's often been scolded for pushing herself to the point of exhaustion as she tries to 'better herself' in her own eyes. She's only collapsed once from over working, but its probably only luck and the watchful eyes of her parents that have kept it from happening again.

Kanaleth
In many ways, Kana is much like her rider, but many of Anale's faults find opposites in her. Kanaleth is friendly, open and social, loving to make friends and be around others, unlike her rider. This openness makes it easier for Anale to open up herself, since she can use her dragon as a sort of sounding device, getting a feel for someone before she opens herself up to potential hurt.
Rider and dragon share the same down-to-earth attitude, caring more for how hard a person works and how sincere they are than where they were born or how much money they have. Kanaleth in particular hates golds that think being a gold means they get whatever they want, when they want. Anale is less so, since being born outside a weyr she holds golds and riders in general in a kind of awe. Its one of the few things that really upsets Kana and Anale often has to soothe her hackles down. They also both have the same earthy, simple humor.
Both dragon and rider work hard, though for different reasons. Anale does it to be the best at what she does, like she always has, to the point of sacrificing her health and well being. Kanaleth does, up to a point, because she very much wants others to give her their approval. She does it for the reward, where her rider does it for the satisfaction. However, Kana is quite aware of her rider's habit of overwork, and the moment she senses Anale reaching her limits, she'll refuse to let either of them work any more. She'll even go so far as to lay down and refuse to get up, if that's what it takes.
Kanaleth is very loyal to her home weyr, and Anale shares that sentiment. Anale is intensely grateful to the weyr for producing her beloved gold and it translates into a loyalty to rival her dragon. Once the gratitude wears off, the loyalty will be because of how well she knows the weyr and the people instead. Kanaleth's patriotism is one thing that can for sure get her riled up, next to high-handed golds, when few things do.
Another trait dragon shares with rider, though, is her jealousy. They differ in that Anale uses it to work harder, while Kanaleth will use it as an excuse not to work or to try, easily discouraged when she sees someone who's so much better than she is. Kana's range of focus is limited though, mostly to those who are around her own age. Seeing someone who's better than she is or has more than she does will make her sulky, but she's easily distracted by a treat or a praise from her rider. Her level of jealousy is not nearly as deep as her riders, just something that has a potential to influence things in the future... such as seeing the blue she fancies being flirted with by a pretty green.
Kanaleth's infatuation with the blue is a source of worry for her rider, who both tries to discourage it while helping to keep it a secret. She uses worry over her dragon's heart as a cover for how much attraction she in turn feels for the blue's rider.
Why she chose this rider:
Anale and Kanaleth are very much alike, but Kana has a few qualities that help temper Anale's. Not born to the weyr and far from her family and pets, Anale has been lonely and a tad depressed, though she covers it up by working harder. Kana senses the loneliness, and true to her kind nature, she wants to make sure Anale never feels it again. She can also sense the over-working's negative effect on the girl's health, and has made it her secret mission to keep her out of trouble.
Who would you give the blue to if you won?
It would take a lot of thought to decide who I would give it to, and probably a lot of consultation with the shop for someone who is active and willing to rp closely with me. I don't have anyone, of the top of my head, that I'd for sure want, but I'm very much open to rping with anyone. I'd just have to think hard about who would take the rp responsibility seriously.

If she was Searched, her location would be High Reaches as she'd currently be staying there as a candidate, not her Hall. With eggs on the sands especially, they would be bringing the candidates into the Weyr ASAP. So I had to edit the title for her location. Otherwise, good to go. <3 Approved.
