They never showed an adult cat person without their heads covered up. But Brannigan's babies had ears on top like our kittens.

Brannigan isn't a nun! And maybe they just get tired of uninvited Humans trying to scratch their ears because they think of them like pet cats. Although I kind of think the cat people are EVOLVED from cats, so that wouldn't work.....
