What are you currently reading, or what was the last book you read?
I'm indulging in a bit of chick-lit right now. (Okay, it's more of a vice than I usually admit.) To get into the October/Autum/Halloween spirit, I'm reading Girl's Guide to Witchcraft by Mindy Klasky. It's the first of three novels and I hear that all three were optioned to become TV movies this year. That should be interesting.

I am reading The Odyssey by Homer I was always complaining that other people got to read it in High School. There must have been something wrong with my high school cos they never got us to read any classic literature which bums me out, so my husband went out and bought me all the classics he could find. rolleyes And I love it, I'm only up to chapter 7. The palace of Alcinous The only problem I have is pronouncing some of the names sweatdrop I highly recomend it 3nodding

I'm rereading Starship Titanic. If you're a fan of Douglas Adams, you should check it out. The book is by Terry Jones (from the Monty Python crew), but it's based off of the game Adams developed in the late '90s.

The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.
Don't be fooled by the superficial picture on the cover-- it's AMAZING.
I love her take on the vampire and human worlds and magic, which is interesting and fun. Sometimes the simplest bases are the most original. I also love how there are 2 amazing main characters, not just 1 typical prophecised hero Mary Sue. There ARE no Mary-Sues in it, actually, though each of our characters is loveable and special (even the sarcastic ones ^^). And everything that's ever predictable in it is breath-catching and enjoyable to read anyway!
