When Alice didn't know how to return home, he decided it'd be best just to bring her back to his territory. They went the back way, curving around a few other territories so that they didn't get lost even more.
Once they broke through the line of trees, they were right beside the lake that bordered his territory. Tempo had kept a firm hold on her, as well as making sure she didn't keel over or get sick...they'd gone slow, so it was a while after they'd started traveling. He himself felt quite a bit better...not so fuzzy, he knew where he was and who he was with. As for her...well, he'd finally managed to get the alcohol away from her and promised they could have it when they got somewhere safe. Having her sober up would be a good thing, so she could lead him to her place.
"This is my home," he laughed a bit, patting her shoulder then letting her go. The dim lights of the forgotten campus lighting made the water of the lake practically glow...the surrounding area casting shadows and sparkling with dim orange light. "Not much, but I love it here. Away from the noise and business of the town," he motioned to the old burned-out dorms, "That's where my 'family' and I live. If you dont feel up to going home we have some extra rooms there, too."

Alice looked at the other, shock painted on her face. “Y-you live here?” Her eyes darted in the direction of her home, so very close to this one. “I live… just over there.” She pointed out the university behind a layer of trees. She brushed her hair from her face and looked at him, unsure of what to think… ever since she had made the university her home she had assumed no one went unnoticed by her gaze, and yet here they were, in their own little world.
“So this is a territory then… but whose?” She wondered aloud, looking at it silently and trying not to think of how it could possibly pose a threat later, she seriously doubted Tempo would attack the university… but what if someone else was in charge… Alice lifted a hand to her head rubbing her temples softly; she could feel a headache brimming to the surface of the mind. On the bright side, at least she knew… at least she knew that these cats were here, if she had remained ignorant who knows what could have come to be.
Alice debated where she wanted to go… back home or stay here, she blinked slowly and decided it would be best to check this place out. “I suppose, I’ll just stay here… I mean unless you wanted to stay at my place, I just don’t really… I don’t want to deal with it right now.” It was true, she didn’t want to really think of all of dhiren’s clothes sitting in her ‘room’ she ran a hand though her knotted hair and looked at her feet, blushing softly to herself. It sounded so much more obscene than it was.

"This is...my territory," he chuckled at her, crossing his arms over his chest. "I run it with a few closer acquaintances...we just got a new member a day or so ago. We dont have many, but we're still strong." Smiling, he stepped towards the edge of the lake...the man-made sandy shore perfect for lounging, and still warm from the evening sun that had set a little while ago.
Taking a seat on the sand, he crossed his legs and leaned back against his palms. "You're welcome to stay here. Like I said, we have plenty of room, and we even have real showers...if you're into that sort of thing. Being a forest cat I love water," looking back at her, he stretched his legs out in front of him, crossing his ankles.
"I understand why you dont want to go back right now, so you dont have to explain yourself. Dont worry. Now that I know you're over there, though, you'll never get rid of me...we'll have to go drinking every now and again," Tempo teased softly, eyes going half-lidded while his tail flicked against the sand and his ears drooped down tiredly.

Alice walked over to the other, sitting down next to him and resting her head on his shoulder. “I’m glad it’s you then, I really don’t need some self righteous a*****e moving in on my territory like he can beat me.” The female closed her eyes, lightly tracing a random pattern into the sand by her side.
Her head still spun a bit, and she vaguely wondered where the hell he had put the booze, she opened one eye searching the area for the bottle. “We should get together and dance sometime… the alcohol is debatable depending on quite a bit of things.” Alice’s eyes drifted closed, giving up on the idea of finding that damn bottle and scooted down so that her head rested on his lap and she was curled up in the sand.
“I need to audition people soon… a few have applied but I’ve been so busy setting up…” It felt nice to confide in another, knowing that he would be if not already was going through very much the same problem. She sighed lightly allowing herself to relax a bit. “Its difficult finding time sometimes, especially when it gets faster when you want it to slow down.”

Leaning back on one of his palms, he looked down at her silently while she rested her head against his lap. He'd long since hidden the alcohol, they didn't need anymore.
"Touche...dancing is fine," he grinned down at her, using his free hand to pet her hair in a comforting manner.
"Audition? Guess my territory is easy to get into," he teased softly, giving a soft tug at her ear, "What sort of cats do you look for in your territory?" Tempo questioned softly, cocking his head while glancing down at her. He himself usually just got to know the cat until they either crossed him as good or bad...but then again, most of the cats in his territory he's known for a while. Their newest was a cute little thing, if not a bit sheltered...but he figured they all started out like that.
"Time is hard to come across," he agreed, teasing softly, "But it'll work out, I'm sure."

Alice purred contentedly with her eyes closed. The female was in a light daze when the males words found her, Alice smiled contentedly with his question it was easy for her, but she tried to explain it the best she could. “I’m looking… for cats that are dedicated to what they love to do… they do not really have to be good at it, but always willing to learn. You can tell if a person is doing what they love, they have this… spark… of true desire, kinda like us dancing… I could see it in you.”
The female peeked a lazy eye up to the other, her demeanor bordering on falling asleep and into the land of dreams, later to awake with a massive hangover. “I want to make sure the people in my territory are happy, and no miscreant that pretends to love what they do will stop me. I’ll allow them to have their loves, but if they aren’t artistically inept then… well I don’t really know.” Her mumbled words were beginning to slur on the ending syllables making her sound just as tired as she felt. The girl was warm, in good company and exhausted.

Grinning down at her, Tempo nodded at this. Even intoxicated she knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it. How funny.
"That's the best thing for any cat, to find what they really love and to focus on it." He himself just hoped the cats in his own territory would find such a thing and stick to it, and with his aid he wanted them to grasp onto it and stick to it.
"If they really do love it then you'd be able to tell I suppose," he murmured, looking up to the clear skies and listening to the waves roll over the sandy shore. It was rather quite tonight...scarily so. Very different from the setting they were just in.
"Do you want me to bring you to a room so you can rest, Alice? Sleeping out here will just get you sick," the forest cat chuckled, giving a playful tug to the tip of her ear.

Alice grunted, pouting prettily while forcing herself to sit up and face the other. “Perhaps our people will become linked then. Seems you want cats who wish to express themselves and remain close... they could take classes at the university if they really wanted to expand on something artistic.” The girl blushed silently, staring at her skirt unsure of what exactly she was getting to. If her mind had been a bit less muddled she would have been able to explain it all matter of factly, but sadly the alcohol still had a small affect in the back part of her consciousness.
“I sleep outside all the time dear, but if you insist.” Standing a bit wobbly she offered a hand down to the male, smiling softly to the other she had been able to explain things to she hadn’t even told Dhiren, for he would never understand. It felt nice… just to have someone to talk to, without them wanting something back, everyone seemed to want something when they talked to Alice, but nothing Tempo had done forced her to think that. Alice was comfortable, even if she didn’t know anything about the male she offered a hand to… well nothing more than his ablity to dance.

Tempo chuckled at the wobbly female, taking hold of her hand and getting himself to his feet--really only holding onto her hand now to keep her steady, rather than himself.
"I'm sure the cats here would love that," he nodded to her, taking hold ov her shoulder as well as her hand now, making sure she didn't topple.
"If that's the case...any of your territory members are able to come here, as long as they follow the unwritten rules that they should all know anyway." Pretty much, no fighting, no wars, peace between all of them.
"How about.." He mused quietly, pursing his lips while thinking this over, "We link our territories," she was drunk. Maybe this wasn't the best time to be talking about this, "I mean...like a treaty, an alliance. That way we can protect eachother and our families--er, whatever you want to call them," smirking at her, he began to lead her towards the burned dorm building, not wanting her to sleep outside and end up ill.

Alice smiled brilliantly, leaning her head on the others shoulder. “That would be fun, and it would mean I could have a life without worrying about everyone killing each other!” Her words came off as a bit sardonic with her cheeriness, but she meant them despite the lack of sleep drawing out her syllables. Alice’s eyes slowly drooped, and her legs slowed, almost stopping completely. The girl was exhausted, nearly falling asleep on the other once that night, and now to the point she was a walking zombie. If she had been in her right mind she would have asked him to put her into bed to begin with, instead of waiting until she was barely able to walk.
“tempo?” she mumbled leaning more onto him so she could walk easier. “Can you sleep with me tonight?…I dun wanna ‘ake up alone.” The female leaned against the front of the dorms, her eyes closed tight and her hand loosely gripped in Tempo’s own. Alice always got like this after drinking, when the alcohol was wearing off and she wanted nothing more than to sleep it off. Though she had never asked a guy to sleep with her…that was a new addition, talk about a jet lag.

At her request, he nodded. "Of course," he understood her not wanting to be alone. Smiling, the forest cat tugged her off of the wall of the dorms. "C'mon, we have a ton of rooms," well, probably not as many as they needed, but he didn't care. It was homey.
Leading her inside, he carefully helped her upstairs where the extra rooms were. Pushing one of the doors open, via a piece of rope attached to the door knob, he let her in first and grinned at the room set up.
There were two full human-sized beds...shelves, a desk, a few lamps, a rug, all the things humans needed, and all the things that cats could take advantage of.

Alice pulled away from the tom, teetering her way over to the nearest bed and flopping down. She folded herself over her shoes, fussing with their buckles before sliding completely up and curling herself into a ball. Alice hid her face in the pillows, trying not to think about what it would be like in the morning. Frustrated she hit the pillow, glaring at it as though it would run away from her. Men, are idiots. At the mention of men she sat up, blushing and offering a hand to Tempo.
“Sorry… I feel like I’m intruding. I really can go home if it’s a problem.” She mumbled, wrinkling her forehead in thought, what would she do there? More then likely clear out where she had slept and move, throwing away most of the cloth she had laying around the place. It wasn’t like she wouldn’t be able to get more from the costuming department, they had plenty cat size scraps laying around to go around. Alice bit her lip and untied her hair, letting it fall to her shoulder blades before curling back up on the pillows.

Watching her somewhat angry outburst, he chuckled a bit and stepped over to the bed to look up at her. Taking her hand, he hauled himself onto the bed and sat down beside her, looking down to the buckles of her shoes.
"You need help getting those off?" His intoxication was nearly gone. Tempo was good about that, sobering up when it was needed
"No, no, you're fine to stay here. It's not a problem at all," the tom assured, reaching up to rub her back softly, "I'm sure Ririka has some extra night clothes if you want me to ask her, that cant be comfortable to sleep in..." The forest cat offered softly, smiling at her reassuringly and comfortingly. He was trying to be as kind and gentle as possible, knowing she probably wasn't in the mood to deal with stupidity.

Alice shook her head to the idea of borrowing someone else's clothes, she was fine now that those damed heels were off. She blushed lightly and shoved all apprehensions aside, deciding it would be best to be completely straight forward despite her love to draw things out unnessisarily. She was tired, and wanted to sleep and then worry about all the crap she had to do to ensure her charges safety. Alice had pretty much sobered up as well, but only to the point where that inevitable tiredness aches all the way to the bone marrow.
"Im going to be horribly blunt right now, I NEVER do this, its a rule, no matter how cute the guy is you do NOT actually sleep with him or you bond somehow. I dunno but Im going to make an exception, just because I seriously doubt im going to like how I feel in the morning." Alice kicked the shoes off when enough of the impractical buckles were undone enough for her petite feet. She looked up at the other cat through the thick veil of hair that had tumbled over her shoulder in a frothing wave of black. Hoping just once luck was in her favor and he wanted nothing really to do with her, or even the idea of her.
"No strings. Ok? at least not until im in at least most of my right mind." She had never thought she would have put herself in the position to say those words but here she was, looking up at a perfect stranger she hardly knew asking him to share a bed, nothing more, because anything more for the Somali female wouldn't need those words to hide behind.
Instead of feeling like a fool and staring at him Alice pushed herself off of the bed easily standing on the balls of her bare feet and staring at them. Damn it hurt to take off heels and stand again afterwards, its lie your expecting the air to hold up your feet. Alice felt for the zipper on the side of her skirt, letting it slip down her legs and into a puddle on the ground. Tempo wasn't really seeing anything new, she had basically flashed everyone in the bar, and Alice was far from self conscious. How many times had she had to dress in front of other dancers at a moments notice? No this wasn't new, but she blushed nonetheless. The corset she would leave on, that really wasn't a big deal... she was so used to them, ad that would hopefully be reassurance enough for Tempo not to freak out. You never knew with guys.

He laughed at her softly, waving it off, "I'm not some old pervert, I promise," he cooed, lowering his gaze when she got off of the bed and began to...do whatever she was doing. He didn't want to seem rude, that was for sure.
"If anything I'll keep the other males off of you, as soon as they get a whiff they'll freak out," since she...well, she smelled interesting. And because of this, it was somewhat frustrating to stay around her, but he had plenty of self control. That and he had no reason to hurt or assault her, especially after he had gotten her into trouble with her boyfriend...
That had been her boyfriend, right?
"Do you need anything else, then? Water, food, anything?" He was a people-pleaser, that's all he had to say.
