For those who had never seen her before she was often a surprise, and perhaps today would be no different, she lay in the shade of a few sparten trees, the light dappling down from above capturing every little sparkle of gold, silver and gems, her silks shimmered beautifully and she stood out despite her being black against the shadows, even her markings shimmered. However the glistening of her very being was nearly dwarfed by her sheer size, both vertically and horizontally she filled a space with her huge bulk making her look almost like a large furry mountain rather than a goddess.

Her two pairs of tiny wings shifted creating a sweet, musical sound caused by the thousands of little trinketts which lined her wings. This sound usually pulled someone in, it hardly ever failed.

Jini mewed merrily as she bounced across the savannah, though the long grass, imagining herself as a fairy. She had wings, and could fly, and was...WOA, WHAT WAS THAT!? It was huge! Was it another cheetah, or big cat? But...But surely it wasn't possible for them to be so big! Pausing where she was, sinking down into the long grass, Jini began to creep forwards. ...Forgetting that she didn't particularly camoflague, with her black coat and pink stripes.

But wait, why was it sparkling? And ooo, that sounded really pretty! Ears twitching, she smiled widely, squeaking merrily as she bounded forwards, rushing up to the furry thing. "What was that!? It sounded so pretty!"

Ubuge raised a brow as the little cub bounded up to her, her dark, onyx like eyes looking across the small body, not an ideal creature, but perhaps there could be something in this conversation.

Lowering her head so her large face was level with the little cheetah cub. "Well my love when I move my wings I make the pretty sound, do you like it?" She whispers, flickering her duel coloured wings once again and causing the musical twinkling once again.

Oh, it was a lion! A big, big, biiiig lion! Smiling sweetly, Jini bounced from side to side, too excited to sit still. This was so cool! This lion was like a mountain! She could squish any mean bullies with a stomp of her paw! And...wait, did she have WINGS!? That was so cool! She flicked her wings and made the pretty sound, and Jini's eyes sparkled in happiness.

"Oh, that's so pretty! Oh, I'm a fairy, I want wings! Fairy's are supposed to have wings! Wings that make pretty sounds! How do I get wings? I'll work for them, I will! I promise, I'll work super-hard!" she rambled, looking innocently up at the Goddess.

The large goddess flickered her tail and purses her lips, could this be why she had attracted the little cheetah? "Well dahling, I am a goddess, all gods have wings little dove." She purrs a smile spreading across her maw.

"Hmm, perhaps I can help you my little fairy, wings can be a very rare things but I'm sure I can help." her dark eyes vanish behind her thick cheeks as she smiles, the question was, what would she ask for in exchange for these wings? She couldn't give real wings of course, but something that looked like wings, no doubt the little cheetah would not know the difference, she was already in a world of her own.

"Go...Goddess?" Jini repeated with wide eyes, the word new to her. Her eyes shined with trust and faith, though, as she grinned, squeaking as she bounced from side to side in an excited manner. Fairy! She'd called her a fairy! Jini purred loudly, dashing forwards and rubbing the Goddess' leg fondly, nuzzling what she could reach with her nose.

"Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou! Can you really get me wings! I want to fly and soar and be a real fairy!"

Ubuge looks at the little cub and lets a gentle, kindly chuckle roll over her lips, this cub was gullible, she was certainly about to become one of her domain, she wanted this silly dream more than anything and such a deep want was certainly greed.

"Of course my dahling, I am a very powerful goddess I can give you what ever you please." She lifts a very large paw and touches the cub on her back causing an illusion to be cast on the little cub, the illusion was of a pair of fairy like wings, though they were made of pink silk and silver and attached with a sort of back band of shimmering silver adorned with soft pink gems. "They could be yours little fairy" she puurrs.

Very powerful? Jini smiled sweetly, finally sitting still, although her butt still wriggling excitedly beneath her. She watched Ubuge with trust and glee, glancing behind her with a loud gasp when the wings appeared. Oh, they were pink and silver and with pretty shiny gems and they were amazing! She squealed merrily, jumping to her feet and running in a circle, before finally stilling with an utterly content, joyful expression.

"Oh, theyre so amazing! Thankyouthankyouthankyou! What do I have to do!?"

The dark goddess watched the little pink streaked cub. "That depends my dahling, what can you give?" She purses her lips. "These wings, they are very rare, they will only be able to be yours." She purrs holding out her left paw, pads upwards she smiles. "Give me a piece of what you are and these wings will be solid, will be yours." the goddess moves her wings, her dark eyes shining.

"Just a little bit of yourself and these wings will be yours forever."

What could she give? Jini frowned, confused as she looked to Ubuge, only just able to tear her eyes from the prettiness of the wings. They were rare? Well, yeah, how many creatures did you see with wings!? Jini watched Ubuge curiously as the lion held out a paw, though she frowned in confusion at the 'deal' that was offered, cocking her head to the left.

"What d'you mean?" she asked, frowning in confusion.

The lioness rolled her eyes in a none challant manner. "It's nothing much my dahling, a piece of the soul you arn't using, you don't need it after all where as these pretty wings, you need them don't you? You want them more than anything?" Her dark eyes shimmer, her left paw still turned towards the little cub. Sure this cub wouldn't be useful for a time, but in the future, she would be useful. Cheetahs were often useful even if they were weaker than lions.

"What do you say my little dove? a little of yourself for something to make you better."

Nothing much? But...but momma always told her her soul was really important. And if it was a part of herself, surely she shouldn't give it away? Tamu was always saying he liked his sister just the way she was. Backing off a little, Jini gave a small, frightened hiss. She swatted at the outstretched paw, hissing softly again, as she cried defiantly, "Go away! I don't wanna give you anything!"

And so, she turned and ran back to Momma.

Ubuge rolls her eyes, watching as the cub skitters away, the wings fading the further she moved, her illusions only worked while the creature was in her presence.

Licking her lips,s he shrugs her shoulders and gets to her paws, moving away from the shade, there were others out there more greedy she could prey upon. It wasn't a total loss, a new illusion had been created, one she guessed she could use again in the future.
