Some places post "no guns" signs as magical talismans. Joe's BBQ in Wikeup, Arizona gives a 10% discount to customers who carry! Well, so says Oleg Volk, as he found in his travels. Looking at their Website, they DO have a twice-yearly machine gun shoot!

Yeah, chilly with 80-90-something-percent humidity. It's still only 20% out here. Seriously, 80 is "long sleeves in the shade" weather. If you stay in the sun, T-shirts are comfortable.

Oh holy mother of ******** god, that match was ORGASMIC. Picdump to commence when I get them all sorted out. Among the highlights:
An MG42, all parts original, with three confirmed kills against the 82nd Airborne. Also, the easily-scared girl who shot it.
Several bowling-ball mortars.
A ten-pound cannon.
Me shooting an M1928 Thompson. Recoil is severely exaggerated, BTW. <.223.
AA guns shooting at remote-controlled drones. Also, failpilot crashing his drone as it completes its initial identification run (i.e. before anyone shoots at it).
"Reactive targets" made of painted sticks of dynamite. HUNDREDS OF THEM.
Brush fires, and the RSOs not caring.
20mm HE vs a very pummeled 55-gallon drum (or maybe not, IDFK. It stood up to dozens of them, but it was kind of 800+ yards off, so it was hard to identify. Got some good video of flashes impacting on it).

Fresnel http://s993.photobucket.com/albums/af56/FresnelPublic/MG Shoot/ 22 videos, 73 pictures. All the pictures are massive, BTW. Just a warning. I ******** lol'd. rofl They wouldn't let you do ANYTHING like that at the range I go to. Hell, it's single load only, so firing a .22 without a bolt catch (MY .22) becomes one of the least rewarding things in the world. emo

It's a lane and a half, filled with blind corners and blind hills, and in a few spots the dirt is so soft you drift at 20mph. I think I prefer the trip to my backyard. Gas is cheaper. Single-load is bullshit. Can't even use the ******** magazine? WTF is that s**t? You should seriously lodge a complaint.
