After waiting in a game for 3 hours, dclone finally spawned.(I was with my fire sorc at the time) So I go to fight him and even with lower resist I could barely scratch him. Anyway after I die about 7 times and run out of pots =/ I switched to my ik barb and beat him down.
..and just my luck it was a 12/13/10 sweatdrop
Anyway my question to you is, was dclone hard to kill your first time?

The first time I fought him was on my 3rd day playing 1.10, and I joined a game called "bring anni". Ironically, dclone had spawned in that game. xp
I was on my blizz sorc, and there was one other person in the game, but he was afk. Someone had already spawned him in tristram, but luckily, that was the first place I went, because I wanted him to spawn there too.
I blizzed him like 10 times and realized I couldn't touch him.
Then some french people came in(No Gimpy, I'm not making this up to justify my use of pickit xd ). So then we had an ik barb and 3 other sorcs and they were all talking in french, and hardly even trying to kill him. They just kept standing around watching my blizz do no dmg to him. Finally the barb decided to do something, and his friends did too. I just stood back and waited for him to have a sliver of life left, then I teled right on him, and let pickit take care of the anni. ^_^
Then they all started talking in caps in french, so I'm guessing they were bitching at me. The anni turned out 14/14/10. So then I was like "woot 14/14/10 anni, gg pickit kkthx frenchies" and left. xd
I still have that anni now. It's on my melee sorc. biggrin
But the most recent dclone I fought, I was killing for a friend, and it took my zealot about 45 seconds tops. Laying of hands + Coh + botd zerk = dead demons.

Hammerdins Any Melee character with Crushing Blow Charged Strike Zon with a LR wand on switch Bone Necros Berserk Titan Barbs I have a shitload of annis, my best one being 1/20/20/9

i have heard about him never actually seen hm b4 sad i so want to fight diablo clone and die xd xp one question whats an anni O_o :S never seen or heard of him till my 5 months of playing the game online O_o onli been playing about 5-8 months sweatdrop

I'm sticking with my ik barb as my "dclone killer". 5k whirlwind damage and +350% damage on the maul. Adds up to 20k+ damage to him biggrin As for the annihulus: http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/normal/ucharms.shtmlBut yeah, dclone is the most fun to fight, the armagedon constantly surrounding him kicks so much a**.  ^Dead dclone^

You know when it says "_ _ _ sojs have been sold to merchants"?
That is what essentially brings him out. After the soj count gets to a high enough point, then a message will appear that says "Diablo walks the Earth". He will then spawn as the closest super unique. When you kill him he can drop annihulus small charm.
There is a really easy way to get him to spawn, but it takes a while to explain. If anyone is interested in it then just post here.

He can spawn on any difficulty, ladder or non-ladder. Although he can only drop anni on hell mode.
Ok, I'm gonna try and explain how to get him.
Like gimpy said, if you are in a hell game and it comes up and the number seems high (above 2000) usually. Then just stay in the game, the higher the number the less you have to wait.
Seeing as not all of us get that message too often you can also keep makng passworded games, wait 2 minute and if it doesn't pop-up then keep making. Keep in mind this takes a while.
Anyway if the count is high on normal then you can get the same count on hell by doing this.
While d2 is loaded:
1)Click Start and go to programs
2)Go to accesories and click on command promt
3) type in netstat -n
You will see numbers like this
63.241.83.7.2354
63.241.54.182.4000
The one with 4000 at the end is the one you want. That is d2. The number to the left of the 4000 is the game id, when you are in a game with lots of sojs and its not hell, type this in and find out the game id. Then make new games untill you get the same id, then wait.
Of coarse for those who use maphack (tsk tsk) then the game id is in the top right corner instead of doing this.
Keep in mind waiting for dclone can be very lengthy, I will keep posting any hot ips out there.
