It was a typical day in the beginning of fall for a playful Lachkynd named Calypso. Teasing the frogs in Frogger's Pond, he pretended to be some sort of shark, using his natural-born camoflauge to his advantage. Who knew frogs were afraid of sharks, let alone are around them often enough to be afraid of them. Either way, Calypso didn't care; he thought it was funny.
Being in the water, Calypso acted very childish. But the second he hit land, it was as if some sort of grown-up attitude attacked him. He would suddenly become sophisticated. No silly little games or jokes. Just an quiet, well-mannered Lachkynd.
This characteristic change in Calypso confused many around him. He was so mysterious, no creature ever knew when it was "safe" to speak to him or when not to say certain things. He was not angry by any means, he just didn't have that childish manner about him when out of the water.
So while the frogs wished he'd grow up, the land creatures wished he'd sort of grow-down. Calypso wondered if he'd ever find his balance.
