The wooden sign swinging in the wind had only born the image of a broken wheel, but everyone in town knows that Penelope's is the place to go if your wagon's in need of repairs. Penelope is a mid-30s woman with frazzled red hair and ropy muscles from years of work. She runs the business while her husband Kellen tends their small orchard out back. Many customers are surprised that Penelope does the wagon repairs herself, and is teaching the older two of her three children the trade as well.

NPCs to interact with:
Penelope, the owner of the establishment. Talk to her if you need wagon repairs.
Kellen, Penelope's round-faced husband. He looks significantly younger than she does, but they're around the same age. He's much milder than his intense wife, and a rather gifted farmer.
Natali, Kellen and Penelope's oldest daughter. She's about twelve, and already rather good at mending canvas and other fabric things. She makes clothes for herself and her family, and loves hearing stories from the travelers who come by.
Jack, Kellen and Penelope's only son. He's about eight, and his job is to use the mallet to drive pegs and nails in. He's rowdy like most boys his age, and loves to get dirty. He collects lots of odd things.
Rosie, the baby. Only about a year old, she spends most of her time on Natali's hip or toddling around. If you try to talk to her she'll probably just look at you.

"Right...Ziva...Must remember that name...pepper oil...Got it." Veshengo nodded, putting the coins in his pocket and patting it, hearing them jingle. After leaving Mama's wagon, He hopped back in his wagon and headed down the path towards the Wagon Repair Shop. Jumping down from the seat, he strolled inside, knocking on the door frame as he passed, "Hello? Anyone here?"

[LOL...I know she's in the Cider House...But Vesh doesn't...so we're avoiding it for a bit.]

A young woman with fiery red hair appears from the back room. Her curls spring out from her bun and her face glistens with sweat. She wipes her forehead on her sleeve. "Aye, and what can I do for you? Wagon repairs? I do wheels and axels and boxes, and me daughter does canvas if y'got it." She puts her hands on her hips.

"Ah, yes, hello...I lost a wheel while crossing the river, smashed to bits...I was wondering if you could replace it." He gestured to Balormengro, "About how much would it be?"

"Course I can!" exclaims Penelope, mistress of the house and business. "Wouldn't be a right cartwright if I couldn't, eh? Now about what size?" She swishes around the table in the middle of the room and out toward Balormengro. "Hmm," she says, clicking her tongue as if calling a horse, "Right. I'd say 15 couplets for such a large wheel." She raises both intense eyebrows, daring him to challenge her.

Veshengo glanced at her slyly, catching on to her expression. He rested his hands on his hips, "...10..." He cocked his head, then crossed his arms, folding them on his chest.

"Right, you think to make me a pauper! I've three wee ones, I'll have you know! 14 couplets, that's me final offer."

"I have to make a living too...I can't just throw my money away, I do need to eat once in a while...I'll give you 12." Veshengo flashed her a serious look, while underneath he felt like laughing. Haggling gave him such a childish thrill.

Tsura sighed softly as Berit peeped and cooed in her arms, the small mostly red quail having been chattering since they'd left the cider house. Had someone slipped her something alcoholic? It seemed unlikely but the gypsy woman had rarely seen her former quill quite so excitable, maybe it was from Mama's apple slice earlier. Whatever it was it had made Tsura make up her mind to take Berit back to the wagon after she'd spoken to Kellen.

For now though she simply made her way down the road at a brisk walk until she spotted what she assumed was the location in question. the young woman was pretty positive she could see apple trees back beyond the building that blocked most her view.

Hearing a familiar voice from inside Tsura smiled and headed into the shop.

( omg sorry this post is so vague I was very unsure of how to approach what to do here)

"Thirteen, and that's absolutely it. If ye don't like it, ye can find someone else to repair your wagon." She crosses her arms over her chest with finality.

((It's okay, hun. ^^))

A young girl appears from the back room when she hears the door open. It's her job to help customers when Ma's busy. "Can I help you?" she asks. "Have a wagon in need of repair?"

Veshengo nodded his head, "Thirteen...We have a deal..." He reached out his hand to shake on it.

"Good, good," she says briskly, shaking his hand. She then holds out her hand for payment.

Tsura nodded " Yes though that will need to wait a bit, I'm actually here to ask about obtaining a specific apple from your orchard." Once she delivered it to mama she'd have the money to pay for her wagon's sorely needed repairs.

Berit eyed the girl curiously but did little else a bit worn out from earlier.

The young girl giggles a little. "On an errand for Mama Peretta, are you? You'll have to talk to Papa about the orchard. He's out back. Here, I'll show you; follow me." She disappears through the curtain from whence she'd come, which led to the rest of the house. She pauses at the back door, waiting for Tsura.
