   It was no secret that Rosa absolutely loved flowers. Her gardens were beautiful. This year in especially. She was blessed. She took care of them daily, her beauties. Watering and triming them. Sometimes if you listened carefully you could even hear her caring on conversations with them!! Many ponies came to the gardens to admire them and enjoy the beauty and peace that the garden fields inspired.

This morning when Rosa woke she had such a strange feeling that something had gone terribly wrong in the garden. She didn't know what it was. "Wierd, I wonder!!" she thought.
Skipping breakfast she ran swiftly to the gardens. When she arrived she was horrified to see that someone or something had trampled through her sweet peas. "Oh my, my sweet peas! Who would do such a thing?!" she said to herself. She was very hurt and dissapointed, by this discovery. She had worked very hard growing and tending to them. They were one of her favorites to eat too.
She started working to save the few plants that were left. She would save them. "Come Come my sweet peas! You'll be alright." she said softly to the plants, almost as if she was singing to them.

 Estevan was Rosa's best and longest friend. They had grown up together and knew everything about eachother. Some wondered if there was a secret romance between the two, but Rosa had always just seen Estevan as a brother. She loved him dearly and he care for Rosa the same. Estevan wanted to talk with Rosa this morning about a Mare that he had seen in another pasture. He didn't know her name she was new and beautiful. Rosa usually knew alot about the other ponies, because they would come and visit with her while she was in the garden. He ate his breakfast quickly. And then stolled to the garden!! He walked into to find Rosa hard at work tending to the sweet peas. Not an unusual find here. She was always working in the gardens. "Good Morning, Rosy" he said with a cheerful voice! Rosy is what he called her since they were kids.

"Oh, Good Morning Estevan." she said quietly while working. "Do you believe that someone would do this to my poor defensless plants!! she said a little bit louder.
She rose to her feet. With a worried look on her face, she turned to face Estevan, who was still standing by the rose gates that lead into the garden.

"Oh, Rosy I'm so sorry!!" he said softly as he slowly walked over to the sweet pea plants that she was tending to. He lowered his head and smelled the plants hoping to smell something familiar. But it was nothing he had ever smelled before. "I don't recognize that smell from anywhere!! he said with a confused look on his face.

She smiled at her friend. He was already to go looking for who had done this to her plants. She walked closer to him and put her head on his back.
"I know I couldn't recognize it either. And all my hard work, now is ruined." she said to him with disappointment in her voice. "What am I going to do?!" she asked with a little less hope.

With a spring in her step, Anthos wandered through-out the land. It was expansive ( and the truth was she was lost ) but she figured she may as well make the best of it and see the sights while she was out, anyway.
It just so happened that the breeze had blown just right and the scent of flowers tickled her nose. So many different scents that she couldn't even place all of them!
She began to follow the scent and soon found herself standing just outside the gates that surrounded a most wonderful garden. But it seemed that the pony tending to it was rather distressed. Anthos wondered if she should bother her at all, but the garden was just so lovely.

Rosa's eyes were closed and her head was still on Estevan's back. He was trying to tend to the flowers for her. She heard something. She opened her eyes and turned to find the noise. It was a beautiful pony with bunny like features.
"Why hello!!" she said, delighted. She always loved visiters, especially new and interesting ones. "Welcome to the garden!"

Estevan was still tending to the sweet peas. He realized that Rosa was talking to someone else, besides himself. He raised his head curious who had wondered into the garden. When he saw the mare that walked in he went hard like a stone. As he often did when there was a pretty mare within a couple feet from himself. He was also curious as to who she was. With those bunny like ears. Still so pretty. Instead of walking up and interrupting. He stayed where he was and tended more to the sweet peas. He would act busy and not interested.

"Hello." Anthos spoke in reply. Her voice was gentle and, if you could call it that, soft. She stood just beyond the gates, peering into the garden at the two ponies.
"I am sorry to intrude it is just that I caught the scent of the flowers and followed it here." she glanced about, her ears flopping around her head, "But it seems you are having some trouble."

"Well, of all the days you found my garden, it had to be the day when it's a mess!!" she said while looking back at the sweet peas that Estevan was still tending too. "It seems someone has trampled on my sweet peas. I'm not sure why or what happened. Usually everyone that comes in here is very respectful of the flowers and usually helpful!!" she softed her tone and looked back at the beautiful pony. "Anyways dear, where are my manners?! Do come in. You are very welcomed!" She smiled invitingly!

Estevan still tending to the sweet peas. Chanted in his head "Please come in, Please come in!" Still trying so hard to act like he was not interested and busy at work.

Staring towards the ground, Anthos began to walk into the garden. She did not want to make the damage any worse or to end up with her long hair stuck in any of the green.
She paused a few feet away from the pair and lifted her pink and green eyes, again. Though she was a bit confused by the pony ignoring her, she smiled a little smile and tilted her head. "I am Anthos, pleased to meet you."

Rosa smiled. "Well, Anthos. My name is Rosa. I'm so glad to meet you! This is my garden. Your welcome to anything here. We have all kinds of fruits and veggies. And then there are the flowers. This guy here is Estevan, you will have to excuse him for being so RUDE!!" she said bending down a little and pushing Estevan. "He gets very shy when pretty mares are around you see."

If Estevan's face could turn red it would have. Rosa was always messing with him around other Mares. She didn't understand why he was so shy. He didn't really either. So, many things he wanted to say. He rose, turned towards the two ladies. "Hi, sorry I was tending to... the... well, you know. Always love to help when a friend is in need!!" he stamered to get his footing. Embarrassed a little. Then turned again. Hard at work. "Dumby!!" he thought to himself. "You sounded like an idiot!" Hoping she would just forget that whole encounter.
