Do you have any bad book habits? I tend to keep the book open and flip it over instead of putting a bookmark in, and read in the dark which my mom always yells at me for. What about you?

I let my books loose to roam the vast reaches of my room. They construct nests out of the scrap paper on my desk, hide under piles of random junk, wedge themselves in a friendly niche between my shelves, and pile up everywhere.

I never want to get rid of books, no matter how old...I'm obsessed with them. Half the time when I want a new book, my parents say to throw out or sell some others first...and I give them a look like they're crazy...then I go buy more anyway. So they're just all over my room. The shelf is packed...my nightstand drawers, some boxes, the closet...

Everything I read ends up under my bed. Every now and than, my mum kindly requests me to clear up. Also because I don't finish every book I start so sometimes there is quite a pile under my bed (I read in the train or in/my bed)

Thats probally why I had to get glasses because my eyes were dying sweatdrop I did that too...another habit about my reading that drove my parents nuts. IT was like, "You're the only one in this family who doesn't wear glasses yet, keep it that way!" Oh well...too late now...*pushes glasses up*

Well, I'm a convulsive book buyer. At a thrift store, The Idaho Youth Ranch, they sell books 5 for a dollar, so I buy around 5 books a week.

Then when someone turns on the light beside me it causes my eyes to hurt while I adjust to the sudden brightness. Someday I am going to snap when someone does that... Mother also comments how I shouldn't be reading while riding in the car. Feh, that's how I got most of my reading done during my school years was reading during the hour I spent on the bus getting to school and home.

I'm another one of those that reads in dim lighting. I also tend to fold paperbacks in half when I read them.

i am such a bad person with books except i love my books so i don't dog ear them, and i get mad at people who do... but anyways.. bad habits read in no or very dim light (still don't have glasses... my eyes are like invincible, i can stare at the sun, read in dim light, go from pitch black to mid day without blinking... and yet, i still have 20/20 vision, and can see further thne most people) instead of bookmarks (even though i have them) i just turn the book upside down, and leave it, but i sususaly leave it on a corner so one side is hanging down. i leave my books everywhere i somtimes step on my books i take my books everywhere in my backpack i accidentaly put them down then can't pick them up again cause they're stuck to the surface... oh once i was reading outside and all the ink ran onto my arm... and that's about it...

This is my worst habit: When a part in a book I really do not like comes along, I either throw the book against the wall or out a window. Hey, if I don't like them, I'll get rid of them! blaugh

I read in dim lighting as well; my mom is constantly telling me to turn a light on so I don't ruin my eyes.
