Quote: If you’ve no idea how MMOs work, they hook you in with the constant instant gratification of gaining levels and becoming more powerful, new items of clothing to put on your persona that not only look better as the game progresses, but also make you more powerful, and the gratification of eventually accomplishing in the slaying of internet dragons. I used "internet dragons" in an essay i win at life (but not at this sentence, jesus christ it's a comma get in the van) discuss

MMO's work by hooking you with the constant instant gratification of gaining levels and becoming more powerful. Mobs have a chance of dropping new items of clothing that you can put on your character, not only do they look better as you progress, but also make you more powerful. Eventually when your character is powerful enough, you will experience the gratification of slaying internet dragons.

I'm explaining it to an english teacher. @Void: It's for a creative writing/journalism course. I wrote a 5 page paper on how World of Warcraft and Pokemon ruined my love life for a "personal" piece. (aka pick anything) And I did fix up the sentence before I submitted my paper. xd

i agree with the mmo thing but wow is different... I sucks every drop of life out of you till you feel bad when you dont play for a period of time. I wouldnt be supprised to see a 60 year old man break into tears because his wife wanted to spend more time with him... This game is cursed. now give me all your money smile
