The day she had been abandoned by her owner, Leila had also ripped off her collar out of anger and frustration. Distraught over the fact that her owner of many years had finally dropped her off outside of a random store in a cardboard box before waving goodbye, tore up her heart inside. Was she not good enough for the human? Had she not solidified a deep-enough relationship with the girl? Questions that bit at her self-esteem swarmed her mind.

It had been a couple days since then. The Himalayan wandered from place to place, scrapping up the needed bits of food to fill her stomach before eventually moving onto the next area. It was a slow, lonely process.

Large, fluffy tail dragging across the dirt, Leila’s legs eventually took her to the outskirts of a university. Her blue-green eyes blankly stared up at the building before drooping her head and trudging inside, unaware of the fact that this was a territory belonging to other cats.

She strode past the building without so much as a second glance and instead plopped herself down at the artificially-made lake and dipped her feet into the water. Empty eyes stared at her reflection, watching the ripples distort the image of herself. As she continued to gaze at the water, a hand hesitantly reached up to lightly touch the blue fabric around her neck, a painful reminder of her royal blue collar that was now strewn somewhere across the dirty streets of the city.

She wished she was back at home. Then Leila shook her head and revised that wish. “I wish I had a home to go to . . .”

HeeChul wanted to go fishing. It was the one thing that was 'work' related that he loved, and wasn't about to stop it merely because they left the aquarium. No, he loved that the fish here were bigger, better and less chemicalized.

By him fishing, it really meant that unless he was truly feeling up to it, he made SiWon strip down and catch fish with his hands. But the other was good at it, he didn't feel bad. He was stretched out on a warm rock, light shade covering him due to the tree on the side of the lake.

"Hmmm~ So hungry. SiWon, hurry up!" He yelled, his ears flattening against his head. When he saw the rather built boy pop his head out of the water with a fish in each hand, he grinned and tore into the one offered to him. It was perfect, the bones were easy to avoid and the flesh tasted like magic. "Get out of the water and get dressed before someone sees you naked." He bitched a little to the male, not bothering to turn away as SiWon did what he was told, drying off and pulling his clothing back on.

Bossy, bossy little b*****d, wasn't he? Eyeing HeeChul from his perch in the tree a little ways off from the lake, his eyes narrowed and his ears flicked. Currently, he was on watch...not that he really needed to. Ririka was up in the dorms while the two other males were out here gathering food and pretty much keeping watch with him. There hadn't been much activity since they'd laid claim to this area, so Tempo had been pretty calm lately.

Furrowing his brow when he caught another sound--one that didn't involve HeeChul whining and SiWon getting dressed, he hopped down from the tree and landed in a crouched position, moving into the underbrush of the lake. The foliage here was amazing--reached well over his head and could protect them in times of war and such. Plus it was downhill towards the dorms, another good thing when it came to fights and territory disputes.

Pushing himself through the reeds and such, the forest cat didn't even seem phased by the feeling of water and mud on his paws. Honestly, he had gotten so used to this it was almost nice. He also loved to swim, much like SiWon, so that wasn't a problem either.

Coming upon a smaller clearing on the other side of the lake, he perked his ears forward--when he spotted a strange cat. Brightly colored, and looking pretty distressed. Not wanting to startle her, the older male stepped out of his hiding spot a few paces away from her. "Are you lost, kitten?" Again with the 'kitten'...it had become a habit that he couldn't quite break. Tempo kept his voice calm and soft, not wanting to scare her off. "Not to be rude, but this is my territory. Are you aware of that?" An initial warning in case she planned to settle here permanently. Of course, he somehow doubted she knew where she was going, anyway.

Her ears twitched as she picked up the far off voices of another cat and slowly lifted her head to observe her surroundings. At first she saw nothing unusual, but as Leila began to hone in on small details the second time around she finally spotted two other cats on the opposite side of the lake. As far as she could tell, they appeared to be male.

Then she noticed that one of the other felines had been in the lake and lacking clothing, her jaw dropped and she instinctively leaned forward. Rather than shriek and hurriedly pull her legs out of the lake and scurry away, Leila gladly continued sitting down and attempted to get a better view of the pair. Her mind registered what she was doing and she blushed, her ears flattening in shame and embarrassment. Even so, her eyes still eagerly soaked up the sight she saw, having lived a sheltered life and hardly ever escaping her owner’s house.

She frowned. Her previous owner’s house.

Drowning in her sadness, she idly swung her legs back and forth, watching the movement create more ripples on the clear surface.

A voice broke the long silence and she gasped. Panicking, Leila immediately stood up and attempted to dry her legs off. “Wh-Wha—Not really . . .” she replied, befuddled at the use of ‘kitten’. She was nearly an adult. There was no need to use a term like that. “Wh—Y-Yours? I-I didn’t know that!” she answered with wide eyes, raising her arms in defense.

To be truthful, she was not all that knowledgeable about territories and the outside cat world. However, ask her questions about humans and modern human culture and she could probably answer them easily.

Her tail drooped and brushed the ground. “So you live here, huh?” She grimaced and awkwardly rubbed an arm, thinking about her abandonment a few days earlier.

Tempo had noticed the the woman was staring towards SiWon. Oh, if only HeeChul knew. Glancing in their direction, he shook his head at the flash of SiWon's a**, looking back tot he woman who...looked mortified at his presence.

"It's all right," he grinned. crossing his arms over his chest as he stood a few paces from her. "I'm not going to chase you down or hurt you, promise. It's just a mistake, right? You didn't come here to hurt my family?" He had to make sure. For all he knew, she could be from surrounding territories moving in to hurt his family members. And that just wasn't going to happen, no way in hell.

Nodding to her final question, the forest cat looked over the area and grinned a bit, "It's a beautiful territory. A little small, but nice," he bragged a bit, laughing. Glancing up to make sure SiWon was dressed, he motioned back towards the water. "You can sit back down. My name is SeungHyun--but everyone calls me Tempo. You can call me either one." Smirking, he bared his fangs in a non-aggressive manner, "What about you, miss?"

[[ -replies now because it came out longer than she planned OTL- ]]

She would have gladly (and guiltily) ogled both boys had it not been for the fact of . . . Siwon’s predicament. It was very much a magnet for her. Leila wouldn’t say that it was her fault that her gaze had gravitated towards him because it wasn’t. It. Just. Wasn’t.

The stranger flicked his head towards the two cats on the opposite side of the lack before disapprovingly shaking his head. As he did this, she nervously stood there, fingers inching towards her voluminous tail to grasp and fiddle with it as she continued to anxiously wait, shoulders bunched up.

At the sight of his grin, the Himalayan found herself breathing a soft sigh of relief and relaxing her shoulders. He mentioned family and her eyes lit up with curiosity. Family? He lived with a family here in this territory? A far off look in her eyes, Leila imagined what it would be like to have her own family once more. It hadn’t even been a week and she was already sorely missing her ex-home. Even with the brief description, she would have loved to settle herself in this part of the city. Anything that she could call her abode.

She hesitantly plopped back down at the edge of the lake, still feeling out of place. Leila planned on calling him Tempo, but was curious to try out his actual name. It sounded forward. “SeungHyuuuun,” she drawled, the syllables rolling off the tip of her tongue. A quick glance to the other cat and she returned her lonely stare to the water. “Leila. Make whatever nickname you want out of it; I won’t mind.”

Fortunatly for Leila, HeeChul had not noticed her oogling of SiWon. Could he -really- blame her? No. But no one was allowed to look at SiWon that way. He heard Tempo being loud and he grumbled a little to himself. God damn that boy, always interupting his fun time. He caught a new scent and his eyebrows furrowed.

It was female.

He ususally didn't get along with them, but Tempo and SiWon got along with everyone. He wouldn't be surprised if one of those two morons brought a woman onto the territory just to upset him. Though he could get back at SiWon a lot easier then Tempo.

With his head held high, he strode over to where the two were talking, helping himself to interupt as he examined the female. Well, she didn't seem so terrible. As long as she learned her place. And didn't touch his things, that would get him pissy fast.

He didn't say anything, instead crossing his arms and moving to stare pointedly at Tempo. Well -someone- had to introduce him, and he wasn't going to be doing it himself.

Tempo noticed HeeChul wandering over. He was being quite noisy as well. Snickering a bit, he slowly moved to stand behind Leila, somewhat protectively in case the siamese threw a fit about a female being in the territory.

"Leila, that's a beautiful name," he cooed, looking over to HeeChul as he was stared at.

"HeeChul, this is Leila," he motioned down to the woman, smirking, then reached down to lightly tap her shoulder, "Leila, this is HeeChul...he's a close friend," the forest cat laughed, "His mate is second in command--SiWon, the boy who was swimming around." Straightening back up, he crossed his arms over his chest.

"This little kitten is lost, Chullie. I was thinking about offering her a home," he looked down to Leila, giving a comforting smile, "That is, if she feels like dealing with a bunch of boys. We have another female...her name is Ririka. If you'd like, I'll introduce you to her, Leila."

Tempo’s eyes wandered past her and Leila questioningly angled her head to the side, curiously blinking at the other cat. “Something wrong?” she inquired, eyes still staring at him as he strode towards her and stood behind her.

This sent her into an even bigger whirlpool of confusion. Looking puzzled she followed his gaze and bit by a surprised shriek when she realized that it was the red-haired cat from the other side of the lake. Ears flattened and tail brushed the ground, shyly directing her eyes to the ground. “I-It’s not that great of a name,” she mumbled with a soft smile, flattered by the compliment.

Feeling a lap touch on her shoulder she looked up, acknowledging HeeChul with a brief, polite nod. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Upon hearing that the other feline in the water was his mate, her ears perked up with surprise and she fought back the embarrassed blush that was creeping onto her face. Hopefully he hadn’t realized that she had been staring at his mate moments ago.

At the proposition of being offered a home, her ears excitedly perked and a glow entered her blue-green eyes. She tried to mask the eagerness in her voice, only to horrible fail. “A home? Here? May I?” The prospect of “dealing with a bunch of boys” did not deter her, especially when she would not be the lone female. “Of course! I’d love to.”

Tempo chuckled at the woman, nodding slightly to her when she asked to stay. "That's why I offered," he purred, crossing his arms over his chest and eyeing HeeChul for some sort of input.

Which he doubted he'd get, actually...the red-head might be a little huffy if nothing else.

"I'm glad you'll accept my offer," he turned back to Leila, smiling at her softly. "I know it's sudden, but how about I bring you to Ririka? You and her can talk, and she'll show you around," he said softly, offering a hand down to her with a smile. Whether HeeChul was happy about it or not--Tempo wasn't sure if he could bring himself to care. It was SiWon that he needed to get the agreement out of, since he was second in command, and JiYong didn't seem to mind whether it was tom, queen, whatever. As long as the blonde knew about it quickly it didn't matter.

And Ririka was just a ball of being social.

"I'll also help you pick out a room that you can stay in...that or I can talk to Alice, our allied territory, if you can stay there. I know this place is a little...weird."

Leila felt her heart soar, flying above the clouds like a bird. Finally, she had found a place that she could call her new home. There was not a chance that it would be like her previous shelter. It was not possible, but what she did know was that she would be able to make new relationships and discover things she had never known before.

His eyes flickered over in another direction and her gaze curiously followed. Staring at the red-haired cat, the Himalayan wondered if he held any importance to this group she would be joining. She figured that it had to be so. Why else would Tempo look at him?

A c**k of the head and she threw him a questioning look. Ririka? It definitely had to be another member of the territory. She secretly hoped there weren’t too many members. She wanted to meet and personally chat with them. A tour sounded nice though.

Leila nodded her head. “Sure, I’d be delighted!” she answered with a grin. As he also began to mention room arrangements, the cat shook her head at him. “That’s alright. I don’t mind where I stay.”

It wasn't that HeeChul was really that high up on the territory, he was just a pissy b***h that Tempo tried to please for the sake of not having any trouble. He looked the female up and down before giving a slight huff.

She was pretty and that annoyed him a little bit. He was supposed to be the prettiest. Still, she didn't seem to be bitchy like most females, and was willing to take what was offered. Mm.. Fine. He would play nice. But only as long as the female did the same.

"Kim HeeChul," He stated, offering his name and a small smirk. "You'll be safe here. Just don't go into my room, or touch my things. And don't try hitting on SiWon." He motioned to the dark haired boy that walked up to him.

"SiWonie.. This is our new territory member. Leila? I think." He saw SiWon nod and wave, introducing himself.

When he offered his name Leila hastily bowed. “I’m Leila,” she responded. Paying careful attention to the words he spoke, the Himalayan nodded her head to show her understanding. Although she was not planning to go into HeeChul’s room nor touch his possessions, she made doubly sure to not do so now. He seemed like a cat that would be ready to kill, or at least severely injure, anyone who so much as dared to breathe on his things.

As he waved towards the other cat, Leila frantically shook her head and waved her arms. “Oh no! I’d never think of doing such a thing,” she reassured.

She did a half-bow to SiWon, giving him a polite and friendly smile. “Hello!”

Leila turned to face Tempo. “So I’m part of the group now?” she asked. I have a home now?
