I just read Charles Dickens's book and I absolutely love it. It's well-written, perfectly quotable and I cried a lot at the end. I think it's the best book in the English language

I love it too. I was having a discussion the other day with one of my friends who said she's read it, and "didn't think it was one of his better books", which I heartily disagreed with. But then, I'm not sure if she's actually READ any of his other works, since when I asked her what she thought was better she said "Oh, well, y'know, the really popular ones like the Christmas one and... mumble mumble mumble." <_<
