The continent of Rodicia. It is home to many people. As such, it has many different countries. Among these countries are the kingdoms of Gailor and Faren. These two countries were never exactly on "friendly" terms, but the last few centuries have only seen minor border skirmishes.
Suddenly, Gailor invaded Faren. Caught by surprise, the Faren army was ill prepared. Gailor marched towards the Faren capital and laid siege to it. However, the Faren army didn't last long and fell after only a few days. As soon as the enemy fell, Gailor entered the city. The king of Gailor and a few members of the army went to the castle and slew the nobles. Then King Gailor killed the entire royal family, with the exception of the prince, Akihiko, who managed to escape. With the death of the royal family also came the death of the kingdom of Faren, for it was now ruled by Gailor.
Two years later, a mercenary going by the name of Aki started to claim to be the missing Prince Akihiko. Not only do him and the prince share similar names, Aki also bears a striking resemblance to Akihiko. Aki is now raising an army to defeat Gailor and reclaim his country in the name of Faren.

1. Romance is allowed and encouraged, but no cybering. It's disgusting and I don't want to read it.
2. I am God in this RP, so what I say goes.
3. No god moding.
4. No killing without permission from the person you are killing and then I'll want proof of agreement. If you are killed without permission, pm me and I will kick the killer out and bring you back to life. So I'm warning you, don't kill without permission or you will get kicked out.
5. You may have up to 5 characters, as long as you keep track of them.
6. The part of King Gailor has been taken by Idril Lissesul. But I need people to play people in King Gailor's army. Not everyone can be on Aki's side.
7. Try to answer often. I understand schedule difficulties as I am a high school student myself. Just please notify me if you will be gone for a while.

For the past two years, Akihiko had been known as Aki, a mercenary. He had to stay far from the capital, where his face was well known. Instead, he stayed in the rural areas near the borders. He has been training for the day when he takes on King Gailor. Now he feels he is ready, so he made his presence known.

Bio: Born and raised in the capital city of Faren, Bjorn was the son of a blacksmith-turned-soldier, something that sparked his interest in being a soldier. At the age of 19, he joined the army and quickly shot through the ranks by being a strong and cunning leader, but also a compassionate one.
He became a captain around the same time that Faren was invaded. When he heard of Akihiko's return, he has resolved to find the man and act as a bodyguard.

He displays an outward image of being calm, and in control, sometimes perceived as a sign of arrogance. Kai is wholly dedicated to his teacher and keeps his lesson in heart even after his passing. He seeks to perfect the teaching of the Master Zhu and to also see to it that Prince Akihiko fulfills his destiny. Weapon: Fan- A gift from Kai's teacher. It serves more as a symbol of knowledge than a weapon. It is embroidered with foreign characters, which fills nearby people with a feeling of unease. Kai doesn`t use the fan to fight, but instead uses it to channel his magic and perform defensive “dances.” Side: Faren Bio: Kai was born in a far-off country, on another continent across the sea. He was born into a poor peasant family, in a land filled with conflict and turmoil. Many civil wars were taking place in this area, as three different empires tried to claim their right to the Emperor's Throne. Kai's father left the family to join the army, promising to come back when he had earned renown in the army. Months past, and the year was approaching its end, however, there was still no news from his father. Then news arrived on how a neighboring nation had routed the local noble family. They had lost the war. Kai and his mother had all but given up hope on his father's safe return and proceeded to arrange for his funeral. However, one day a, the father returned, claiming that he had earned renown during the war by defecting to the invading empire and promising their victory of the land (Kai did not knew this at the time). He claimed that as a reward, they were to move to the capital and live a wealthy life. Kai and his family eventually moved to the capital, where they were given a relatively large plot of land by the new ruler. His family also received gold in return for his father's services. Kai was then sent to school, to become an educated citizen and to be “useful” for the new empire. Shortly after starting his education, Kai caught the eye of the Master Strategist and Sage of the new empire; Master Zhu. Master Zhu was so impressed by Kai's intellect and cunning that he took him in as his apprentice. Kai proved to be an ideal pupil, learning fast, developing that knowledge, and applying it to his life. Master Zhu was so proud of the child that he started to teach him the strategic way of warfare and the mystical art of the Sage, hoping one day that he would be his successor. Kai soaked in this knowledge, fascinated by the possibilities it opened for him. Years passed and Kai started accompanying Master Zhu to the battlefield. There he would watch as Master Zhu crushed armies with his cunning and magic. Kai soon started to idolize the master and this only enlarged his thirst for that very power. At this time the country was divided by two empires, the one which took over Kai's homeland, and the larger force to the north. Master Zhu decided it was finally time to bring the war to a close in one final battle. Both sides marched off to finish the decades long conflict on the Wu Zhang Plains. Kai accompanied his teacher to this event. He watched as the battle started, and as it unfold. The enemy forces tried many different tactics but Master Zhu saw through each and subdued them in an orderly fashion. Kai could still remember the pride he felt that day, standing beside Master Zhu as he seemingly counter the enemy at every turn. But then, the unthinkable happened. All of a sudden the tent in which they were in caught on fire and screams could be heard from outside. Kai jumped up, surprised at what was occurring. He heard Master Zhu got up and muttered something along the lines of “It has come down to this.” Master Zhu signaled the soldiers standing guard at the entrance of the tent, battle ready to stop anything from coming through. The soldiers immediately left their posts and began tearing away at the map which hung on the far wall. Kai, confused, looked to his teacher, whom deftly withdrew a thickly-bound book, and fan from his robes and handed them both to Kai. Then he shoved Kai to the soldiers, whom immediately grabbed him and took off though a previously unseen pathway behind the map. Kai turned back just in time to see Master Zhu step out of the tent, and shortly after followed by a deafening explosion. Once Kai and the small group of soldiers made it through the tunnel, they turned back to see their encampment covered in giant boulders, and a nearby mountain missing a good portion of its stature. After short moments of mourning, the small entourage proceeded to a nearby river, where a boat was prepared. The small entourage entered the boat and was swept down the river. On the journey back, Kai studied the book that was left by his late teacher. Inside the book was a letter, detailing what occurred in the last few moments before the Master Zhu's death, along with what Kai should do, if he dies. The letter noted that the book was what was left of Kai's training. The fan was a gift from teacher to pupil, which was to serve as a gift for Kai when he completed his training. The letter also informed Kai that the incident which occurred at Wu Zhang Plains was the effect of several officers defecting to the other side. Master Zhu, having no choice, was forced to use his magic to bury the whole encampment, effectively killing all the traitors, and himself. The letter concluded saying that as soon as Kai learned all that he could from the book he was to destroy it until it is time for him to find a sucessor. Once Kai made it back from the field of battle, he sought to become the new Master Strategist. However, upon his arrival, he was faced with extreme prejudice and anger. Confused, he later found out that Master Zhu was seen as a traitor in this land, as he seemingly dropped a mountain on top of his own encampment, which costed the battle and war. Kai and the soldiers tried to convince the people otherwise, but they would not believe a single word of it. Then armed escorts came to round up Kai and the few soldiers whom were left from the battle. They were put on trial in front of the Emporer for assisting treason. The soldiers were immediately put to death. Kai watched as the soldiers who were still loyal to Master Zhu were lined up and, one by one, were beheaded. Then it was his turn at the “trial.” The Emperor questioned many times for Kai to relay the “truth” of the event, but Kai persisted. Exhausted the Emperor gave up and penalized Kai with banishment instead of death, in regards to what he claims as “The ignorance of youth.” Kai was shipped to the country of Faren a few years later. He decided to make a name for himself and to revive his master's legacy in this new land. When he first got to the capital of Faren, he opened up a divination stand on the streets. After awhile of business, he eventually caught the attention of various wealthy and influential people of the area, mainly wealthy merchants. With this he went up in the hierarchy of Faren, getting the attention of many for his unique (and eerily accurate) predictions. This allowed Kai to build up relationships with those higher in the hierarchy, thus increasing his position further more. Eventually he was invited to do service for the nobility of Faren. The king and queen was so impressed with his work that they hired him full time as a "Divinator" (or Court Magician, whatever floats your boat). There a strange event took place. While doing a divination for the adolescent Akihiko, Kai saw darkness in the child's future, and that he would be one to change many lives across the land. Intrigued by the child's interesting future, he decided to stay by the families side until the time comes when the Prince Akihiko will have to meet his destiny. Other: Kai's magic is achieved through various incantations, gestures, and charms. For large-scale and complicated spells, rituals must be used. Rituals are varied depending on the desired outcome, but usually include a large drawn circle in which the caster chants from. Bio:Elle is the twin sister of Gabriel. They were born in a small hamlet near the edge of the Faren boarder. Very early in the war, their village was attacked and taken in as Gailor land. Elle and Gabriel lost their mother during this attack and haven’t heard from their father since he left to join the army. After the death of their mother and the disappearance of their father, they lived together in their small house, helping in as many ways as possible to re-build their town. But that wasn’t good enough for Elle. She could feel the uprisings start to grow and yearned to be a part of it. So, one day she and her brother left in search of the rebels.

Appearance:Elle is relatively petite in stature, standing almost a full head shorter than her brother; approximately 5‘1“. She has long dark hair that she has never dared to cut because her mother loved it so much. Her eyes are an odd mixture of green with barely noticeable purple flecks around the pupil, which she inherited from her father. She has always assumed she was human, but maybe there is some Elvin blood in her? She has a relatively thin build, but she has found that with every passing day, she grows, making her more and more unlike her brother. She’s a little bit of a tom-boy, preferring to cover herself up with her bother’s hand-me down clothing instead of buying new dresses. Currently, she is wearing her mother’s favorite green dress (with a pair of trousers beneath, of course). Since the start of her journey, she’s found it customary to wear a traveling cloak as well. Her kukri she wears in a sheath on her back because it’s too long to be comfortable while walking. She also carries a side-slung pack with various necessities for their journey.

Bio: When his mother died and father all but disappeared, something changed inside of Gabriel. His first priority would always be to his sister, Elle, but after that, his world turned upside down. Something burned within him, something unlike he’d ever felt and during the months it took them to re-build their shatter lives, he couldn’t even recognize it. But when Elle demanded that they join the cause and bring their mother’s death to justice as well as search for their father, he realized what it was; Hatred. Anguish, despair, and revenge all pumped through his veins, but he would keep that inside for now.

Appearance:Gabriel is of an average height for a boy of his age. Approximately 6‘. His near-black hair has grown much longer than he normally wears it, falling almost to his shoulders in some sections. His eyes are very feminine, laced with long dark lashes, but they are not like his sisters. He had his mother‘s eyes, a cool, sapphire blue. Now that he has grown out of all his clothes, he wears his father‘s clothes which are very loose on this thin build (Gabe isn‘t very muscular, hence the use of a long bow rather than a more melee-oriented choice of weapon). He carries a backpack, along with his arrows and his bow, as well as a small dagger which he uses mostly for whittling more arrows or preparing meals.

Nalken's bow is called Wind Bow for the arrows that he fires seem to go as fast as gale force winds and they've been known to be hand crafted of animal bones and dipped in poisonous liquids found from rare plants in the forest. He quietly awaits the day where all the world will be in peace and meditates his days away along with teaching the adolescents how to properly use bows.

Bio:After 70 years of fighting Nalken has finally quit the army after learning of a peace treaty and how its supposedly permanent. He quit the Gailorian army two years ago and has retired his famous Wind Bow and awaits this peace treaty to fail like all the ones before it. Nalken has settled in the quiet peaceful village of Ishkard and hopes he will be able to protect it should the treaty go over bad. After all the war he has seen his skin and eyes have grown cold to the outside world and he sits quietly meditating in his free time.
Other:Nalken has a firm affinity for helping the royal family even though he has never been summoned to help them.
Appearance:Nalken has a short cut, straight, blond hair. He has dark brown eyes and a tattoo of an arrow flying through the air on his right arm. Nalken is not well built but has muscles and can easily pull a bow string back, he has a scar from an arrow that had hit his face 50 years ago. She does have a kind side, but it doesn't show often. Weapon: Kunai, steel needles, garotte wire, fan Side:Gailor Bio:The golden lotus has long been known for both it's clean and dirty dealings concerning life, it's members doubling as healers, concubines, and assassins. Born as the first child of the previous Lotus, Yue was destined to become the next head of the family. However, The Jin Lian are notorious for their loyalty to whoever has the money and the power, this caused their downfall, as a group of Akihiko's supporters burned her family land to the ground. Yue was lucky to make it out of her home alive, but the rest of her family was not so fortunate and she now harbours a blood grudge against the disposed prince. Yue is willing to do anything to see him dead, hence her loyalty to King Gailor. Other: She harbours a ridiculous fear of kittens and bunnies. Age: Fourteen. Thinks she's twenty-one.

Personality: Pilli is slightly hyper, and tends to act high-and-mighty to her superiors. She has amnesia, and is sure her name really is Pilli Uni. She's also sure that she's the king's reluctant sweetheart, as well as the fact that she's an orphaned princess from Zeffria, one of the most powerful countries in the world. Before her amnesia, she was far more humble and easily used. Now she's just loud and obnoxious.
Weapons: Pilli is a weapons master, and so can use whatever is around her to fight with. She prefers poles/rods/staffs, but she can also use swords and spears and other various sharp items. She also carries three or four sharp knives on her person in case of attempted rape or someone getting close to her in a fight. If worst comes to worst, she knows a bit of Judo, and can use it for just long enough to stun her opponent so that she can skedaddle.

Bio: Pilli was born under the name Pirika in Waokerui. She lived happily, until she was seven, and strange boats appeared on the shores of the cold island. Her biggest mistake was disobeying her mother's orders to stay away from the boats, and going to investigate. She was seized by strange-looking men who chained her to strangers and threw her into the bottom of the boat. She would never see her family again.
Pilli grew from there in several households, being sold for short periods of time to masters who seemed unaware that she, too was a human. Eventually, she was sold to the king, who used her as a sex toy, then abandoned her. It was around this time that a knock in the head caused her amnesia. She was sure the only reason she'd had sex with the king was because he'd had feelings for her. Which meant she was royalty. Even though she was in the army. That meant she must be at least twenty, to even get in the army in the first place. She convinced herself of this, and continued on her way.

Rodere's younger brother is in a prison fighting for Faren and Rodere had no choice but to fight for Gailor to save his brother from execution. His scimitars are a remnant of his father and the bow is his mother's from her early life of taking archery. Although he can be good at using other weapons, he perfers to use his mother and father's weapons to remind him the bravery they keep for others. Bio:Although she was forced to stay with her sisters, Jeanie was depressed at missing the fighting. She spent her childhood watching the torture sessions in her father's dungeons, she was also forced to learn to play the violin, much to her annoyance.
Other: When they were aged 8, 10, and 11, the girl's mother died. Jeanie was her favourite, which is why she was given the sword.

Bio:Sylvia was happy to remain hidden during the seige. She didn't like fighting, or the idea of being around all those new people. Through her childhood Sylvia read to herself and played in her room alone, now she normally remains there.
Other: Sylvia has a pet cat which is her only real friend.

Two years ago...(the day Faren fell to Gailor) A fifteen year old Prince Akihiko was running towards the throne room. The sound of fighting was everywhere. By the sounds of it, Faren was losing. Akihiko was trained to used a sword, but he wasn't exactly good with it. He'd probably end up hurting himself and his allied more than the enemy.
He burst into the throne room to see his younger sister Alice already there."Big brother!" Alice cried when she saw him. She ran over to him, wrapped her arms around his waist, and started to cry. She was only ten years old."Don't cry, Alice. Everything's going to be okay. You'll see," Akihiko said reassuringly, returning her hug.

"Come on!" Bjorn roared. The young soldier raised his claymore over his head and swung it in a vicious arc, dropping two soldiers in front of him by neatly cleaving them in half. The normally quiet Viking was in a state of rage: why had Gailor attacked? They had been on shaky ground, but never on the brink of war.
Another soldier burst into the room. Bjorn wheeled on him, holding the claymore in a one-handed grip. The massive Viking stood at nearly 6' 2", and could easily wield that massive sword one handed. The soldier caught sight of Bjorn standing there with a bloody claymore and the murderous look in his eyes, and fled.
A thought struck Bjorn and he ran through the halls, not in pursuit of the soldier, but searching for the Prince. He started with the Prince's quarters: empty, and by the looks of it, someone was in a hurry to get ready and leave.
His next thought was the throne room. Bjorn took the time to wipe the sword off using a towel he'd found on the floor, and slid it in the sheath he had under the cloak that he wore over his chainmail armour.
He quickly ran to the throne room, opening the door to see the Prince and his sister standing there. The look on his face visibly softened. "Milord, milady, it is good to see you both well." he said in his usual voice, a quiet but deep rumbling voice.

The king and queen ran into the throne room using the secret back exit. The queen sighed with relief that her children were both safe. She ran over to them and wrapped them both in a hug. The king did not let his guard down for a minute. "Bjorn," he said, "take Alice and Akihiko to safety."
King Faren was suddenly cut in half as Gailor came up behind him.
Queen Faren screamed at the sight of her husband cut in half.
"Heh. Look. It's a royal gathering," Gailor said, laughing maniacally.
"Y-You monster!" Queen Faren exclaimed.
"Daddy!" Alice sobbed. Akihiko tried to hold her tighter, but she broke away and ran over to her fallen father.
"No, Alice!" Akihiko cried. He was about to run to her, but his mother held her arm in front of him to stop him.
"Akihiko...You are the hope of Faren. You must live," she said and ran over to Alice.
Gailor cleanly sliced both of their heads off, still laughing.

"Your Majesty!" Bjorn shouted a split second too late. He glared at Gailor, drawing his claymore.
Normally, he wouldn't have uttered a curse in front of the Prince and his sister...on account of them being quite young. But he couldn't resist now.
"You b*****d..." he growled in a deadly whisper. He held out the claymore one handed.
"Akihiko, do you remember when you played with your sister, where you would always hide?" he asked. "Go. Now." he added, drawing his secondary weapon from a sheath at his side and handing it to the prince. It was a short sword, the type used by pretty much every soldier.
That done, he turned to face Gailor again, a maniacal gleam in his usual calm eyes. This man had done the impossible: he'd brought out the true heritage of Bjorn in only a few short actions.

Akihiko looked at the sword. He knew he wouldn't be able to use it, but he took it anyway. At least he'd feel safer if he had a sword with him. He turned around and ran to the door, pausing and looking over his shoulder at his dead family for just a moment before running out. His eyes were watering, but he refused to let the tears fall.
About halfway down the corridor, he heard footsteps coming. Heavily armored footsteps. Somehow, he knew that the people coming did not hail from Faren.

"You, on the other hand, are not going anywhere." Bjorn said, eyeing Gailor with a deadly glare before raising his claymore over his head in a two handed grip.
He ran forward, intent on slicing the smug grin straight off of his face. With a feral yell he slashed down from a high left position, aiming for the sword to cut diagonally across Gailor, ending by his right foot. If it connected, it would likely cleave a deep gash in his shoulder straight to his hip.

Nalken came from behind the new King Gailor and grabbed Bjorn's sword hilt and hands stopping his attack and uttering the words, "You aren't to harm the king my friend." With a serious look on Nalken's face he thrust Bjorn backwards and drew his bow. "You can leave here a living man or a dead one, it's you call." Nalken said getting in front of the king and aiming his bow at Bjorn, "I have no quarrel with you, while the king might it's not my duty to kill you for now. I suggest you go before it becomes my duty." Nalken said waiting for Bjorn's response.

"Shoot me." Bjorn said, presenting his chest. This was the plus side to the berserker rage he was in right now: pain could be ignored. It would still damage him but he wouldn't show pain.
He swung the sword out to the side and whistled loudly, hoping to call on some soldiers to back him up, before holding the sword defensively in front of him, readying to snap the man's arrow in half if he fired one.

Gailor soldiers turned into the hallway where Akihiko was and saw him. They must have recognized him as the prince, for they charged at him, weapons ready.
The soldiers were suddenly blasted away. Akihiko stared, startled. "How-?" A girl in a Faren army uniform stepped out from a side hallway. She turned her gaze over to him, and relief flooded her face.
"Prince Akihiko, it's such a relief to see you alive!" she said.
"Who-"
The girl must have expected the question, for she immediately stood at attention and saluted. "I am Hana, sir. I am just a common foot soldier. However, right before he was killed, my superior told me to find you and keep you safe," she said.
"Who was your superior?" Akihiko asked.
"General Daichi, sir," Hana said.
Akihiko's eyes widened. General Daichi had been among the strongest men in Faren. And he was killed?
((I'm just gonna sit here and see how the fight between Bjorn and Nalken turns out. ^^))

 I know I must have been someone else.
Pirika staggered along, her limp and her wounds made the fact that she'd recently been fighting. These, although painful, were necessary. Her master had said to hunt and kill any surviving member of the royal family, and she knew for a fact that the prince had escaped. As she was too obvious in Gailor armor, she'd had to remove it, and had gotten into a fight, the type to look as though the armor had been rendered useless. Unfortunately, the fight had gotten a little too intense to get out as able as she'd have liked. This was going to be hell pulling off.
Ahead of her, Pirika saw the prince. She forgot the pain in one of her legs for just a moment in an attempt to run to him, the wounds spurting blood with each step, then slowed as she realized he was with a soldier. Damn. This was going to be even harder to pull off. Now she had to trick the soldier to let the prince go with her. Still, she had no choice. Her master would kill her if she didn't succeed, if she wasn't dead by then already. She got close enough just to hear the soldier call herself Hana, and the man she'd worked under a 'General Daichi'. That was helpful. She limped over. "Hana, they found one of the holes that these pests are getting through in the servants quarters. You better go, you've still got the strength to fight. I'll get the prince out. Come on, Prince Akihiko." She knew that her argument was sound, since that was the hole she had come in through. So she grabbed the prince by the inside of his elbow and pulled him along down the hallway, leading him into one of the rooms. There, she locked the door and turned to him, tears threatening to fall. "I'm really sorry, sir, but I have to kill you. I don't want to. But I have to. It's my duty to the kingdom." With that, she drew her sword, closed her eyes and muttered something to herself, asking for forgiveness for what she was about to do, and charged.
If only I just knew who...
