Hey everyone! I am the discussion forum's moderator! Nice to meet cha. Now on to the important stuff!
I cannot stress enough how important it is to that you read this whole sticky, in order to ensure that discussions are, indeed, healthy. It looks intimidating, but it only takes a few minutes and you only have to read it once! Some of this was copied from the GD / ED forums.
Guidelines as to what may be discussed
Topics suited for journals but have discussion
Polls and single question threads that encourage discussion
Lifestyle, entertainment, technology, etc is allowed so long as it has discussion value.
Broader, more controversial subjects are allowed (Politics, morality and religion, science and technology, psychology and sociology, etc)
When replying, please keep your posts relevant to the original post or the current discussion taking place within the thread. By and large, posts that are only one line long will not satisfy people, so please avoid one-liners, unless you know it will make a point.
Attempt to refrain from using logical fallacies and poor debate methods, as these will frustrate other users and do not enhance the discussion.
When quoting a current news story, do not simply quote or link to the news article and then ask for a response. Instead, include some of your own commentary and thoughts to help spark a discussion.
Please do not make threads that are only copy and pastes of articles, dictionary/encyclopedia articles, forum posts from other sites, or anything else where the basis of the thread is a large peice of text that is not a current news article and is not something that you wrote.
Threads not appropriate for the discussion forum that should be posted elsewhere.

Post your own picture threads, rating threads, hang out threads, threads complaining about recent warning/ban, etc are not permitted here.
Don't do these things. Ever.
Flaming, trolling, and spam are not accepted in this thread. This means you're not allowed to use hateful, abusive language, and whatever you're posting must not be "chatterbox chat"
No sexually explicit for overly graphic content.
Threads created in order to insult another person are not permitted.
Reporting a post:
If you have a problem with someone's post or feel that they are harrassing or abusing you in some way, you're free to report it to Gaia. I request that you would also, for guild purposes, report the incident to myself. I will assess the situation and talk with the accused user. The accused user may or may not, depending on the situation, be given a warning.
In this guild, we follow a three strikes, you're out policy. You will receive a maximum of two warnings, if we need to remind you again of the rules, we will ban you. However, if what you do is bad enough we will not give you any chances and straight up ban you. After one month of banishment, you will be allowed to re-apply to the guild and we will reconsider you.
To cause minimal problems, please follow these rules and guidelines. If something was not made clear enough or you feel something should be added, please PM me your suggestions for editing.
Please be tactful in your discussions and try not to repeat threads! Thanks for reading, you're free to post ^_^
