It'd been a hard task as of late to find calm and quiet in the Weyr, the transfers a few sevendays ago still echoing in actions, and although Liniyie liked the hustle and bustle of bodies moving everywhere he actually longed for a silent spot to sit down and either think or read. He was slowly learning that this would be an impossible task, with the sheer amount of people crawling all over Ista like bugs, and the thoughts of even going back to his room with the others still there limited any amount of privacy or quiet to 'none'.
He had no tasks to do, since it wasn't time for anything to occur and they'd all been dismissed for the day, so the russet-headed youth took it upon himself to just wander around wherever his feet lead him in the Weyr. He have have grown up here before the hall, but there were still many places foreign to his shoes.
With no destination in mind it was rather funny that he found himself traveling towards one of the gathering halls, a real contradiction since he'd been wanting silence, but a part of him hoped that with everything in its normal buzz there wouldn't be anyone around.

He yawned, jawcracking wide giving a small grunt. His lashes flickered, hazel eyes peering out blurry though the coppery forest of lash and unruly curly hair. Mmm...falling alseep in the halls really was not such a good idea. He shifted finding his feet and rubbing at the kinks in his neck. Oww.
"Really, really stupid idea 'Rish," he belated himself stepping outside the halls and blinked, waving lazily at the russet hair boy heading his direction. "Hello!...Don't think I seen you about." Not surprise considering the Weyr had more people then canids had fleas.
'I have been a bit unsocial to, no I'm sure I would have remeber that color hair.' Russet was such a gorgerous and eye catching color. Surely he would have remeber it if he had viewed it. "Are you looking for something? I can attempt to direct you."

Liniyie looked up just as a voice hailed to him, and his thick brow bent for a moment as he tried to place this face, but a name escaped him before he could even try to gather one.
"Um, no actually. I was just heading in no real direction, as today seemed like one of those days to just amble around. I was thinking I might try and find some of the places I used to hide a Weyrbrat, but I'm probably too big to fit into them now. Turns change size quickly."
And it was no lie for Liniyie, who towered at six foot and general rose above most of his peers. He wished he could have stayed smaller for a bit longer, but things could never stay the same.
"As for seeing one another, I've seen you around, though I don't know who you are."

"Mmm, walking for the sake of walking is always a fun thing." He shifted a shoulder back, motioning to the hall he had just vacated. "Pretty quite in there, feel asleep against the wall and now I have such a kink." He shifted his head, feeling tiny pops and cricks, grunting slightly.
“Really?” He questioned. “Then you are one up on me since I can’t seem to place you.” Brishen tugged at his curls, gingers curling about them. “Mm, any way my name is Brishen, but you are welcome to call me ‘Rish.”

"Is it usually quiet, or often filled?"
Liniyie would have to come back, if it was always quiet in there. A good place to gather his thoughts before facing the crowds would be nice, and he could chant herbs to memory a lot easier if he were alone and not feeling embarrassed.
"My name . . is Liniyie. I don't have a nickname, no one's really bothers to shorten it or even call me by it. I pretty much answer to anything in my direction, since it makes it easier on people. But if you want I will call you Rish, since someone took the time to give you nickname. Would be a shame to waste it."

Brishen arched up, grunting as he managed to pop his back, eyes closing in relief. "That felt good. Hmm?" He questioned, head tilted looking at Liniyie. "I couldn't say for sure but it was quite." He had woke what? Twice, to small noises, just enough to watch people track in and out and turn back to his nap. "Just sort of plopped down and napped."
"Liniyie," he muttered. "Not really a nickname, just shorten up. I haven't been called by my full name in a while, when I hear some say Brishen, I still look around searching for what I did wrong."

"Heh, I bet that turns kind of awkward. I usually don't know what to do when my name actually is shortened, I wonder if they're upset at me or want something from me in return for something else. There was a person at the Hall who often spoke nice to me when he wanted me to do his duties."
As the other boy popped his back, Liniyie could only wince. It sounded painful, and certainly wasn't good for him to keep doing. At this rate it would only be a matter of time before he did something wrong and found he couldn't even walk anymore.
"You should be careful. You'll end up unable to move one day if you keep popping your back and neck like that."

"A little bit, then I recall 'Hey, I'm not at home'." He rubbed his neck, working down to his tail bone. 'I feel much better, but not going to sleep like that again. "Some people are just like that. You learn to tell them to do it themselves or find someone else."
He paused, tilting his head. "Really? Mmm, just slept wrong and worshiping the fact I managed to pop my back instead of finding my cousin to do it. Can you actually do that?" Brishen questioned wondering if Liniyie had actually seen someone end up not walking. "...How about Linye?" He questioned changing subjects. Since Liniyie didn't have one he would find the boy a nickname.

"....eh?"
Liniyie's cheeks quickly burst into a shade of dusty rose as his companion offered up a nickname to him. He probably couldn't refuse at this point in time and it would be rude to do so, someone had gone out of their way to give him one after all, so all he could do was stammer and dumbly nod his head.
"You can call me that if you want to, I'll do my best to try and answer to it. If I don't at first, give me some time. I probably would be the same way should I ever Impress and have to shorten my name - I wouldn't know who anyone is referring to."
Impressions, hm? Liniyie also doubted that would ever occur.
"And yes, I've seen people have trouble walking because of what they've done to their backs. Before coming here I was at the Healer Hall, I've seen many things. Do be careful."

Brishen grinned, watching Liniyie's cheeks color. "Linye it is. Have you stood on the stands before? Next clutch will be my first." He was excited, nervouse, and a little wary about the whole idea. "I'm planning just to have them shorten it to 'Rish or a close varient."
He tilted his head, hmming. "I'll be careful. My cousin works with beasts but she been thinking of branching out, maybe healing dragons or even people. Did you enjoy working with the healers?"

Liniyie could only dumbly nod his head as a nickname was given to him, and he wondered how long this person with him would actually remember it. There were so many candidates crawling around this place it wouldn't be unusual for them to not meet again, so he shouldn't have his hopes up too high.
"I've never been to an Impression, I was brought here shortly after the last Hatching had occurred. And as for working with Healers, I like it a lot. I get to meet different people, learn new things, but most of all I get to work with firelizards. Perhaps one day that will even branch out to Dragons."
