that's version 2 for people who don't know the number 2 in german.
buzz made this before but it died and I dont want to bother finding to necro. oh and I added artists in case you like too much music.So.
5 favorite songs right now -
Two-Headed Boy - Neutral Milk Hotel
Let Your Head Hang Low - Aloha
Sugarcoats - Julia Nunes
I Palindrome I - They Might be Giants
Twice as Nice - Pomplamoose
5 favorite artists/bands-
Neutral Milk Hotel - Fuzz Folk band from the nineties, best fuzz folk band of all time, in the top 20 best bands from the last 20 years. In an Aeroplane Over the Sea is their most acclaimed album, to the point that some people don't even know they HAVE others. It's (usually) cryptic lyrics related to the holocaust/ww2. The songwriting is absolutely PHENOMINAL.
They Might be Giants - I don't even know what genre they are. Awesome? They have a billion and one songs and have been around for a billion and one years. If you don't know about them, go know about them.
Julia Nunes - uke/guitar artist primarily known on youtube. smart lyrics and unique voice, her songs are super personal but very relatable and I ******** looovvvee I Wrote These.
Aloha - These guys aren't perfect and I definitely didn't like them right away, but they're growing on me. I like the soft lead vocals and the awesome use of percussion (not just drums).
The Presidents of the United States of America - are adorable. and awesome. <3
SO YEAH.
I'm kind of an indie music whore.

Sonohra - Love Show

You should, as a review I read for the guy states, he reaches into your soul, gives it a jumprope, and feeds it candy.
It was also free, and I'm a thrifty, but OH MY GAWD it was amazing.

My thread was like my top 5 itunes songs, this is WAY better, cuz iTunes gets tired! AND I would explain WHY each song was so great... XD
OK! MY CURRENT top 5 songs (Hirun prolly won't approve since it's really "pop" talk2hand )
Starstrukk - 3OH!3 Ft. Katy Perry. Soundtrack to Your Life - Ashley Parker Angel Around the Corner of Your Eye - A*Teens Crazy Possessive - Kaci Battaglia Paparazzi - Lady Gaga
Top 5 Artists? CURRENTLY ALANIS MORISSETTE!! OMG! I can't believe it's taken me THIS LONG to realize her genius!! Jagged Little Pill was SERIOUSLY the best of all time! And the way she speaks always makes you think like she's talking down to you, which rocks!
MEH! Can't think of anymore people to mention. Only because I hate that I'd have to pick only some... But Alanis still fracken rocks, TOP 5 FOREVER IN MY BOOK! >.>

Five Favorite songs: Paparazzi - Lady Gaga Dirty Business - The Dresden Dolls On the Rise - Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog Ganondorf Battle (Oot version) - Z.R.E.O. I Didn't Know The Girls Wanna Be Her - Gary Glitter vs. Peaches
Lady Gaga: UM. Is there really anything I need to say? Lady Gaga is totally a guilty pleasure of mine. I just love the energy her music has, and when I'm driving and her CD is on I totally have to sing along to it. Paparazzi, The Fame, and Beautiful Dirty Rich are my three favorite songs by her. Love 'em.
Amanda Palmer: Amanda Palmer is the vocals behind the band The Dresden Dolls, and also has one solo CD out right now. I absolutely adore her. She defines her music as "punk cabaret," but I personally don't really find the band very "punk" at all. Her music is usually her at the keyboard/piano, and someone on drums. There are some(alot) of songs that have abit more than that.
They Might be Giants: PIXIE MIGHT BE GIANTS LOVE. I went to see them live like a week or so, and lately I've been trying to expose some of my friends to their music. This is another CD I put in and sing along to.
Peaches: It's funny that I call Lady Gaga my guilty pleasure when Peaches probably SHOULD claim that title - but I'm totally not embarrassed by my love for Peaches. She has kind of an electronic sound, and every single one of her songs (except two that I can think of) are completely sexual. Some of my favorite songs by her - "The Tent in your pants" "Two guys for every girl" and "******** the Pain Away." One of the songs "Set it off" I get stuck in my head a lot. I'll be sitting in my room thinking to myself "******** want to get with me, lay with me, love with me, all.... right." xD which is 90% of the lyrics of that song.
The New Young Pony Club: I learned from this band because they did the song "Ice Cream" that was used for a Mac Commercial? I don't know what my deal with music that has kind of an electric-sort-of-light-techno-dancey music (I'm wonderful at explaining genres. rolleyes ) but I'm on a roll with it right now. New Young Pony Club is KIND OF a cleaner version of Peaches and Lady Gaga (But not by much). I think some of their lyrics are kind of catchy, and they intrigue me. One of the songs, "The Bomb" is the best example of this of this: "You know you really were the bomb Atomic Infamy You really have to display information to discover relativity" and then later.. "Dancing you're tearing it up, you know. Don't speak 'cause your mind is amazing!" These lyrics, for whatever reason, totally baffle me.
Even though I haven't been listening to them much lately, Interpol is still my favorite band. <3 Interpol is much more like Amanda Palmer than any of the dancy happy bands... and even so not much like her. :3
