The truth was, Zircon Breeze had absolutely no idea what happened... One minute she was wandering along, hunting for a meal, and the next she was stuck in a rather prickly bush.

Of course, it had been her cotton-like hair that had gotten entangled in the first place, and the more she tried to get loose, the worse she seemed to get stuck. Pokey things stuck here and there on her fur, in her mane, on her tail- it was a mess! And poor Zircon Breeze didn't know what to do.

She could move her head the slightest bit in each direction, but she saw no others nearby. Of course, she couldn't see behind her and that was cause for worry in and of itself. What if something snuck up on her?!

User Image Streaked Sky was picking her way through the marsh, carefully avoiding sticky mud patches and berry brambles. She was very proud of her coat, she felt she was quite unique in her coloring and thought it was from some glorious ancestor. Naturally not from her parents; her father was the colorful one of the two, and she was more colorful that he was.

As she wandered through the swamp, lost in her musings, she saw what looked like a puff of cotton, in the middle of the marsh! Ever the cautious doe (you didn't grow up as colorful as a flower without caution) she approached silently; ready to flee at a moments notice.

Then the cotton started to move, and to wriggle! Comet then saw the kimeti attached to the cotton, and realized it was a kimeti, stuck in a bush! Trying not to startle it, she walked around to it's front.

"Hello, I am Streaked Sky. May I be of assistance?"

Zircon Breeze fell still as the brightly coloured doe wandered up the path from behind. She was sure she looked extremely odd here, stuck in this bush, but unfortunately she couldn't really help it.

"Um..." she turned her head slightly and let out a little yip as the prickers tugged painfully on her hair. "Well. I seem to be stuck." she mused. In her irritation with being stuck, she had rather completely forgotten to introduce herself in reply.

She wasn't one to ask for assistance, but in this case she supposed she could make some exception. "I would greatly appreciate any help you could offer." she spoke quietly, as if she weren't sure exactly what to say.

Streaked-Sky snorted at the answer she was given. Seem to be stuck? you say? she thought. More like completely entombed in a bramble-bush. Still, if Streaked-Sky had such cottony hair she would probably get it trapped in all sorts of things too.

Bowing her head in acquiescence, she moved to survey the stuck doe. The easiest thing to do by far would be to completely cut the hair off, but hair grew back slowly for kimeti. So that would not do. The second best thing then, would be to help free the doe's head so she could help free herself.

Deciding on that course, Streaked-Sky told the doe, "I don't think you'd want me to cut your hair off, so I'm going to try and pick the brambles out of your head to help restore some mobility. Try not to wriggle, unless you particularly enjoy being stuck."

"Okay..." Zircon Breeze replied, flinching the slightest bit at the idea of her cottony hair being cut off; She would look so silly with uneven hair.

She tried to remain as still as possible, in anticipation of Streaked-Sky releasing her hair from the bush's grasp, but disliked being so disadvantaged... Not to mention it would most likely hurt.

In an attempt to still herself, she thought about, well, anything but being stuck there, really. The warm breeze, the clouds dancing across the sky... It was all very theraputic for her.

Moving to get a better starting point, Streaked Sky began to try and untangle the hair as painlessly as she could. The hair was probably going to be a giant rat's nest by the time she was done, complete with brambles and bits of leaves, but it couldn't be helped, really.

She looked at the doe's face and saw her face shift into a dreamlike state. Hopefully that would make picking out the hair slightly easier without any fidgeting.

So Streaked Sky went back at it, trying not to p***k her mouth or cause the other pain. It wasn't going too terribly, and the hair didn't seem to be tangling.

"There you go, I think!" she exclaimed. There might be a tuft or two still stuck, but only one way to find out...

It took a moment for her to realise that, well, Streaked Sky was talking to her. She turned her head reflexively to look towards her and blinked a few times when she finally noticed that she wasn't as stuck as she had been and pulled away from the bush as carefully as she could and, though a small amount of her fluffy hair had been pulled from her head, she was free.

"Oh!" Zircon Breeze exclaimed, somewhat belatedly as she stood there staring at the bush that had so cruelly kept her trapped there for who knows how long.

Her gaze moved quickly from the bush to Streaked Sky and she gave a somewhat awkward bow of her head in thanks- awkward in that she didn't want to not see where her head was moving so had difficulty turning her eyes down.

"I much appreciate the assistance, Streaked Sky." she offered a smile and raised her head once more. "If there's anything I can do for you..." she let the sentence trail off, the smile never leaving her face.

"No, thank you, I don't think there is anything I require right now!"

She mulled on a thought, however, for a brief second.

"Maybe if I ever run into you again, we could stop and chat. I think that would be nice!"

Please with herself and her obviously beautiful new friend, Streaked-Sky went nodded a polite good-bye and continue on her way.
