Awesome game, great for people who like tile swapping games, much faster pace then it's predecessor Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords but I still love both, and Galactrix is much shorter and has fewer quests.
I just wish I had people to talk strategy with when it comes to the Puzzle Quest games. -whine-

Kuro Tori I'd play it if i had any money for games. Can i borrow it sometime? Yes, next time I see you if you ask I can let you borrow it, I've beaten Galactrix, and am like half way (probably) done with Challenge of the Warlords. But on Challenge Tia has the second file and she's s**t a brick if I deleted it... again...

This sounds like something my mom would get addicted to, and should probably stay away from. I'm ok at some puzzle games, but I've never tried this one. If it is as awesome as you say, maybe I should.

In original Puzzle Quest: It's like bejeweled, only the colored tiles you swap are elemental mana, red, yellow, blue and green, there are purple stars you can match for bonus exp. points and skulls for basic damage. When you get enough mana you have spells you learn at various levels. It is very fun.
In Galactrix, the board is drastically different you have hexagon tiles and you are in space rather then a fantasy setting.

So if I were to try to concentrate on, say, fire elements, would that give any difference or advantage over mixing and matching? Or is it just for the pretties?

Well each character class has specific spells they learn that can tend to use certain types of Mana depending on the class.
In Galaxtrix there are no classes and the colors of tiles represent different types of energy in your weapons/devices your ship has equipped.
The colors you match only charge your mana/energy for the battle you are playing. As you level up you will get skill points you can spend on increasing your mastery of different mana/energy elements (or increasing HP/Hull, and a couple other stats).
So if you want to work on boosting the fire elemental skill in warlords you need to focus on matching the purple experience stars so you can spend the level up skill points on your Fire Mastery. As you increase your mastery of elements you will start battles with more mana/energy in your mana pools/ship.

Don't do that, you'll hurt the desk! And your head. And if your DS is in the way, I shudder to think of the consequences. They will never be the same.
I actually don't think I have any games I'm really waiting for to come out aside from Zelda and the next Ace Attorney, which doesn't even have a release date. Am I slacking in my video gaming? (bum bum BUM)
