So in a fit of boredom and needing something for the charity, I decided to download a free trial of Paint Shop Pro x2 today. I decided to play around with a few scans I had of avi art for something else.

This is what I got:

It took probably... 30 or forty minutes to color as far as I can remember, and it was done by mouse/touchpad.

What do you guys think? I probably need some more practice with it (maybe free art if anyone wants it?), but it's only a 30 day trial and I'm way too poor to be able to afford any art program. XD Any advice/critiques?

It's not bad for mouse and bad at art.

your torso is too long and your shading is too er, icky? I use bpiet filters in photoshop to shade but I suggest using a lower opacity light color layered over only in places that need highlight or shading, otherwise leave it.

oh also thighs are too short. XD

In terms of art programs, GIMP is totally free and generally photoshop-like in manner.
Um I would recommend smoothing out your shading more so that you can't tell it's scribbles, and like, use shadows? Like, the face has more shadows. Generally use more shadows than highlights, I think.

Those knees, soulless dead eyes and she appears to be missing a hand.
Shading looks like the beginnings of gangrene.
But I like it, mostly.
Get Paint.net if you're cheap, its awesome.

Haha yeah I stopped at the hand...

As for the shading, it was just a bit of experimentation on how it all works. It really does suck. The hair... XD Who knows. But thank you.

Coloring- okay
Lineart- not so good

I haven't colored anything in awhile so forget that I have no idea what I'm talking about~~
As for line art it's lopsided and anatomically incorrect. I've been trying to get into anatomy recently and goddamn is it frustrating. I would suggest looking up some references?
You want flow not leaning tower of pisa. Sorry for the slightly harsh critique.
