Acia has been curious recently. The sudden surge of acivity in the main centre brought her attention to the new Aerandir which were being prepared. She has long been a member of the "team" of archaeologists, following her growth into an earth-manipulating spellweaver. Many of the artefacts now being used were prepared by this small Aerandir's nimble hands.
In the final stage of the preperations she found that each owner had been given a logbook to record their Aerandir's moments and, after berating Alyosha for not keeping one specifically about her, has decided she wishes to start one of her own alongside her fieldwork notebooks.
The building where Alyosha and Acia stay is located in the main centre. An add-on was built to allow Alyosha to be on site as needed and these quarters have been expanded a little to allow room for Acia. Their home consists of four rooms : A large living room, covered with shelves and with three large bookcases. The shelves are crammed with artefacts which Alyosha and Acia have both found on their digs and the bookcases with scientific journals and books, most of which are slightly dog-eared.
There are a number of small tapestry wall scrolls with bold yellow, orange and red patterns which take away starkness of the wooden walls as well as a sumptuous woolen rug which covers much of the floor. In one corner is a cabinet which holds bedding and sheets. Next to that is a ladder which reaches into an upper compartment.
One wall has recently had a door created in it which now leads through to another room. This rom is Alyosha's bedroom which is plain but sunny due to the large wall-wide patio windows which are directly across from the door. His futon lays to the right of the door, some shelves to the left. A few rugs and a small table make it "home". Large thick drapes hang across the window which can be pulled over it to keep the heat or sun out. Outside the windows there is a large veranda area - raised wooden panelling which is meant for a sunny seat. Rugs and thick pillows make it comfortable to sit on and a small table often holds something cool to drink.
The loft area has been designated as Acia's "lab". She has her workstation with various tools and half-cleaned fossils and a large well polished desk, all around the edge of which are candles. There are many windows in this room, covering the walls and ceiling and letting in shafts of brilliant sunlight. The light illuminates her collection of sculptured rocks, some old practice ones which she created when she first began to be able to weave the rocks around her. Her bed is also here, tucked away in one corner. Her preference is for sunny colours is related by these objects : A pale yellow duvet with crisp white pillows, a lemon coloured woven rug on the floor and the light pine wooden furniture which is dotted around. Bunches of dried yellow crysanthemums hang from the ceiling and a small yellow orchid trails off of her bedside table.
The third room of the house is their personal kitchen. Alyosha's other passion, cooking led him to build quite a comfortable space in which he could let his tensions out. The kitchen is tiled with basic clay - painted a cool blue and white and put there primarily to stop the timbers of the house lighting from the flames of the old fashioned stove. This old-sashioned stove uses firewood to heat the oven or two large metal plates on which food can be cooked. There is a small table in the centre of the kitchen which can seat only four people and workspace all around to prepare food on. Off the back of the kitchen is a small cabinet shower which draws its water from the same place as the springs out the back of the centre.
