Special Delivery! Get Oak's Letter via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection between September 28th and November 8th and use it to find the special Pokemon Shaymin! With Oak's Letter, you can unlock a new scenario in Pokemon Platinum version featuring the famed Professor that will lead you to Shaymin, the 492th Pokemon in the National Pokedex. Shaymin appears in Land Forme when you first encounter it - but it can change into Skye Forme when you get a special item in Floaroma Town! Cooool! I really need to pick up the other two items at some point, or else I'll have three cards and won't be able to replace them when the next one comes out! x)

YES! I always wanted shaymin! They never gave it to anyone in Australia through special event! I got the Rotom key, the member ship card, and now I get Oaks Letter! Woohoo! Breakthrough for Aussie players out there!

Dang it.
I lost my Platinum I didn't bother looking for it because the WiFi at my house has to be Advanced Settings which is not compatible with the games. Only with DSi functions. Anyways, it still won't work if I tried it with a regular DS Lite or DS.

Well, I got my letter. However, like Darkrai, I'm not going to rush in and grab it. I'll know exactly what I'm looking for before hand so I know just what nature and IVs I need.

Of course, if you participated in the Shaymin event this past February, you could just transfer it to Platinum

I'm going for a Timid one with decent IVs. Luckily, I have a Timid synchronizer. Did the same thing with Darkrai.
