Hobbies:
American Pop Culture Fanatic – The Simpsons, the X-files, Weird Barbie Collection, she loves many things “90s” and American. Desma enjoys collecting odd paraphernalia from weird American fads ( she had a vast pogs collection. Stretch Armstrong Reissue? Got to have one or five!)
Reading – this feeds into her Pop Culture fandom, she loves anything spooky or pertaining to romance, anything that combines the two is pure genius to her. She can be spotted lounging in her favorite broken down leather love seat with a paperback most days of the week.
Television addiction – she just loves watching the boob tube, doesn’t matter the channel or content she will sit down and be mesmerized by the stupid box for hours.
Cutting class and smoking in back allies - technically it’s a hobby, it is something she enjoys doing and does on a regular basis. She doesn’t have a preferred brand and will smoke the cheapest brand/anything menthol.
Gemstone: Opal.
Virtues:
Independent (double-sided): Desma likes to do things her own way, she likes to make her own meals, do her own homework, and rely solely on herself. Being in a single parent home has strengthened her need to be independent and forge her own way in the world. A virtue because she can get by on her own.
Good Sense of Humor: Desma loves irony and dry humor, physical comedy in her book is pure gold (an example would be owning many episodes of the Three Stooges). Her jokes are a bit dated and silly but she enjoys them and when feeling comfortable loves to share.
Patience: It’s not easy adapting to new surroundings, Desma has taken the last eighteen years in stride; able to endure the meanest of jeers, the stupidest of lazy customers, and adults who just don’t understand. She’s not quick to anger and will bear the brunt of a lot of abuse and still act like nothing is bothering her.
Flaws:
Socially Awkward (other side of independent): The feeling that she doesn’t need to rely on anyone has merged into the inability to relate to others on a personal level. She’s not anti-social; she just has a hard time making and keeping friends. Her jokes are generally pretty dated, and she’s not current on fashion.
Insecure: Not quite feeling right in her own skin, Desma is very insecure and awkward about her body. She tries to overcompensate for her inner feelings of worthlessness by changing her outward appearances frequently. Her insecurities hinder her from trying out for sports, plays, and social activities.
Pessimist: Constantly seeing the glass as half empty, nothing can change this outlook. Being uprooted, men skipping out on her mom, bad s**t happening to good people. How can there really be wonder things in the world if there are just as many bad things to counter act them?
Physical Description:
Hair: Dishwater blonde dread locks kept secure at top back of her head in knots, very unkempt.
Eyes: Light Brown
Face: Heart Shaped face. Complexion is lighter (not like extremely pale but not tan) with freckles on her face and arms.
Body: Curvy is one way to describe Desma, she'd probably consider herself 'chunky' ( "I don't skinny dip, I chunky-dunk"), larger breasts that she keeps hidden under the layers of clothing she wears, thicker in the waist, hips and thighs. Proportionate.
Fashion: Grungy lumberjack sheik meets MUFON member… lots of plaid and t-shirts with aliens and American government conspiracy theories on them.

My notes/stuff about Dezzy
Family: Darleen Heisse (Mother)
Financial class: upper-middle
Mother's employment: In Marketing, works for a branch of an American tech company in the city.
Desma's Job: Part time Job at a Cafe ( she misses shifts and is frequently late)
Brief-History: Desma’s mother uprooted them from The Eastern United States to move to Destiny City for a career change when Desma was thirteen. She has had a very hard time coping with the culture clash and clings to things she feels are comfortable from ‘home.’
Not actively looking for Dezzy to be this senshi. I just want a place to store this info. Power Sphere Idea: Pollution
Possible Attack ideas:
Smog
Acid Rain
Someone suggested possibly collecting trash as an attack
"Oil Spill" - causes an enemy to trip on oil that's in puddles/has leaked from cars.
Challenge: "I'm Sailor _________, and it's time to take out the trash!"

Crit: Dezzy seems like she's partly stuck in the 90, which...is mildly creepy and disturbing...
You need an attack 1a, which is a a powered up version of attack 1. The attack Smog seems like a good idea for attack 1-maybe it lasts longer or does damage in 1a?

Let me start out by saying I LOVE DESMA. She seems very real with a lot of relateable traits, which already makes her a plus in my book. So, not a lot of crit but a little bit of feedback for you. ^_^
-pop culture fanatic: I love this hobby. I just had to say that, being a pop-culture fanatic myself. Pogs FTW! It's also not a hobby I recall seeing other people use, so snaps for creativity!
-virtues and flaws in general: I really like the way her virtues and flaws all tie in together, they are things that relate and that could definitely exist together in one person.
-patience: She acts like nothing is bothering her and takes a lot of s**t, but what does this really do to her? How does it actually effect her? This seems like an excellent opportunity to dive a little deeper into her personality.
-socially awkward: Again, I see this as an opportunity to get to know her a little better. How much of an effort does she make to meet people? Does she know her fashion and jokes are outdated? Does she care? Is there anyone that she's close to?
-insecure: I would love to know what she does to change her outward appearance. Tattoos? Piercings? Coloring her hair? Extreme makeup? And how serious are her body issues? Are we talking normal teenage girl anxiety or full blown body dysmorphic disorder? Is there a specific reason she has these insecurities? Did someone say something or do something to her at some point to make her feel this way?
I really like what you have so far, and I definitely don't see any faults or flaws. Just a few areas you might want to expand on. As I said, I really dig this character! Feel free to click my sig and crit my own quest. ^_^

First off: PFFFFT oh man at the American Pop Culture: 90's specialization. There were so many weird things that were so awesome then. xDD
With her reading and television, though... Most of the week she can be seen reading, yet she watches television and is mesmerized by it. Out of curiousity, does she lounge on her couch with a book in her hand, reading when there's a commercial and watching when her show's back? Or does all of her attention go to the television as soon as it turns on?
Otherwise, I LOVE how her hobbies are all isolated pasttimes. I can see her mentioning/using all the sick and phat 90's lingo during conversations and standing there awkwardly when the person she's talking to doesn't get it. xD
Her flaws/virtues... I can't see anything that doesn't jump out to me, that Faewynd has already asked. ^^

Thirding what Faewynd pointed out / asked.
I also think you could go more in-depth on the flaws and virtues? Some of them you just describe and then leave, without saying why they're a flaw or a virtue, or how they effect her. 'Good Sense of Humour' is the best example of that - you haven't said how it helps her or could be counted as a virtue. Without that, I'd classify it as random trivia about her.
Same with 'Socially Awkward' - how does that make her feel? Does she want friends, or does she think she can still get by, since she's so independent? Is it only when faced with situations where she's outnumbered or needs help that she wants friends?
She's a very interesting character. I think you've got a great base for her profile, you just need to build on what's already there!
