Eleanor: A very quiet girl. Likes Jude
Narrator

A Day In The Life
Narrator: It was at the bar Savoy Truffle that it all happened. It was a campus hangout, a place where everyone at the university would go to after class. Jude just met up with Lucy, who had just gotten out of her private vocal classes. Her mind was in a haze, though that was always the case with her.

Lucy: Hey Jude, listen to that song!

Jude: (stops to listen) Twist and Shout! They listen to this in The States? I can’t believe it! This is my favorite!

Lucy: I know. Though I prefer Grateful Dead, I won’t complain. (Turns her head to the corner of the room.) Do you see that girl?

Jude: What, the one in the corner?

Lucy: Yeah. I think you should go talk to her. I saw her checking you out.

Jude: What? But I-I can’t.

Lucy: Too late! (Lucy laughs and pushes Jude towards the girl.)

Jude: (Stumbles as he walks toward the girl.) U-Uhm…

Eleanor: (In a small, light voice) Hello.

Jude: W-Would you like to d-dance?

Eleanor: (covers her mouth and giggles) Sure.

Narrator: Jude and Eleanor danced all night to the song ‘I Wanna Hold Your Hand’. Lucy, as usual, stayed in the corner doing… Well, that’s not important. Jude and Eleanor hung out a lot more after that night. Everywhere Jude went, there was Eleanor. They were inseparable. On the graduation day of the university, Jude, Lucy, and Eleanor were gathered back at the Savoy Truffle.
-------------------------------
Eleanor: You’re leaving?

Jude: I have to. I can’t stay in America any longer. I don’t have a house here, or a family.

Lucy: and neither do I! Trust me, I tried to get a place, but it’s too expensive. Plus, any place I find that’s decent, the landlord won’t let me stay. Something about being a dirty hippy….

Eleanor: I’ll miss you.

Jude: (Said with a sad and soft voice) I will too. And I'll send All My Loving to you.
------------------------------------------------
Narrator: Years went by, and Eleanor had never heard from Jude again. She grew afraid and lonely. She sat all day in by the window in her house, just looking out. She was never happy. Every day was filled with misery. Things weren’t going so good for Jude and Lucy either. Jude always skulked around, and with Lucy off her… Tylenol…. Lucy became more depressed. It seemed as if nothing could ever be great again. Then, on Jude’s 30th birthday, everything changed.
Lucy: So now do you want your present?

Jude: Whatever. It doesn’t really matter.

Narrator: Jude looked at the small package. It wasn’t wrapped at all. It was just a small box. No writing or anything fancy. He slowly opened it. But all that was there was a key.

Jude: What is this?

Lucy: Those are the keys to your apartment.

Jude: I don’t need any keys for my apartment. I have my keys already.

Lucy: No, your new apartment. In America.

Jude: (Excited) Oh my god!

Lucy: Your welcome. Now go, you know what to do.
-----------------------------------------
Narrator: Jude knocked on the once familiar brown door. It’s paint had been chipping away, but it was still the door he had seen a thousand times. The door slowly creaked open, and a distraught Eleanor emerged. Eleanor quickly tried to close the door, but Jude put his foot in the door.

Jude: Please listen to me.

Eleanor: No. Now go away.

Jude:
Oh Yeah, I’ll tell you something.
I think you’ll understand.
When I say that something,
I wanna hold your hand.

I wanna hold your hand.
I wanna hold your hand.

Narrator: Jude got out a small box, and handed it to Eleanor. She was hesitant at first, but then she slowly opened it. Inside contained a ring, with the inscription: I’ll love you, eight days a week.

Jude: Eleanor Rigby, will you marry me?

Eleanor: (in between sobs) Yes.

Narrator: So they had a marriage in a Yellow Submarine back in the USSR. Lucy was, or course, the bridesmaid. They lived the rest of their life together in the apartment Lucy got them, with Lucy living right next door. Lucy later married a man named Johnny B. Goode. Jude and Eleanor had two daughters named Madonna and Sadie. Lucy had one daughter named Sally. They all lived happily ever after, in the great United States of America.
