Marureal: A Land of Shadows It has been just over 2,000 years since the creation of the Second Earth, a dimension created to resurrect the planet before its Human inhabitation. It was created to serve as a replacement for the first Earth should its atmosphere completely dissipate with the ever growing global issues. Though the Second Earth had been created for the purpose of saving Human lives, it was never used and eventually forgotten. Years of wear on the buildings that encased the passages into the other dimension turned their locations to ruins and eventually only one portal remained.
What a prize a group of adventures found when they stumbled across a glowing portal. It wasn’t often that an ancient ruin was found these days. With the mysteries of the Pyramids solved, and space all but conquered it almost seemed as if everything that could be done had been done. But now, another mystery stood before them. A relic from the past, a planet unexplored…
But time has its afflictions. Just as Humans evolved from their primitive form, other creatures have as well. The Second Earth, known as Marureal to its inhabitants, is now populated by Human-like creatures that call themselves Dearons. Though these creatures appear to be Human, they possess abilities that are unique to themselves. Some can manipulate plants, some can talk to animals, others can change their form and a select few can do it all. When a portal opens up in the middle of their home land and strangers emerge… Well, I’ll leave that to your imagination.

Character Development: Human Characters
According to the Human Calendar it is the year 6078 AD, the Year of Endings. Technology is at its prime with machines that can substitute anything. Cyborgs are a normal sight, Robots are so life-like it is nearly impossible to tell them apart from what they appear to be. Space travel is a common mode of transport and other planets have been colonized. Any Human on Earth possesses technology far more advanced than anything we possess in our current time. Four Thousand year will do that to a civilization.
If you choose to be a Human for this RP you are allowed to either be a complete Cyborg or have partial body replacements. Humans are also allowed to carry futuristic equipment such as laser guns, beam swords, and other things such as armor and what not. There will be only one vehicle for the group of explorers that first enters into Marureal and it will be a convertible float unit. If you choose the position of Weapons Specialist you are allowed to have some sort of an armored suit or special unit for fighting. The other jobs are listed below. Only one person per job and it will be first come, first serve.
Human Characters
Team Leader: This person will be in charge of the exploration mission. They will make all decisions and do all negotiating between their group and the Dearons.
Technology Expert: This person will be in charge of repairing and maintaining all equipment used by the exploration crew. This includes the Float Unit, any weapons and exterior body armor.
Doctor: This person is in charge of healing and preserving any members of the exploration team. They will have an advanced knowledge of the Human and Cyborg body.
Weapons Specialist: This person is in charge of attacking any enemies that should attempt to harm the members of the exploration team. They will be well training in the ways of fighting, this including hand held weapons, guns and if they wish one, a mobile unit or armored suit.
Defense Specialist: This person is in charge of fending off any attacks on the members of the exploration team. They will know how to operate a shield generator as well as how to fight should the need come.

Character Development: Dearon Characters
Dearons have only been considered a species of intelligence for a few hundred years. Though their natural abilities far surpass that of any Human, their advancement in technology is minimal. It could be compared to what Humans called the Medieval Times. Though their culture far differs from Knights and Kings, their culture has developed weapons and has tamed other animals of their planet. Creatures very similar to Horses serve as their main mode of transportation and they live mostly in Stone Houses. They have multiple religions, a common currency revolving around gold, silver and gems, and many different nations spread all across Marureal.
Marureal itself possesses many extinct creatures as well as what Humans have long considered mythical. Dragons, flying horses, unicorns, trolls and hordes of other creatures exist on this planet.
If you choose to be a Dearon you are only allowed one special ability so that any God Modding potential is limited. This ability can involve controlling an Element, Psychic Abilities, Shape Changing etc. Please try not to make yourself too awesomely powerful. Below are listed the positions that are open for the Dearons. Choose wisely…
Sistle Champion: This person is considered the strongest warrior in all of Marureal. They have survived countless battles with numerous Dearons and other Creatures. This person has a vast knowledge of the world and is considered to be the unofficial ruler of Marureal.
Bismark Tamer: There is a Tamer of each World Power, but the one who was present during the opening of the portal was the Bismark Tamer. Famous for their mastery of animals, a Tamer is one of the most important parts of a nation. They train horses, dogs and other domesticated pets with a simple touch as well as taking charge of their own favored creatures who they call upon as friends of equal status. Their special ability is the power to communicate and ultimately control animals.
Taolien Healer: Taolien is one of the most prominent religions in Marureal. There are several healers that follow this religion, all of which are granted powers by the Goddess to whom they worship. Whoever this character is they are allowed special healing abilities as well as an ability of their choice.
The Dark Mother’s Servant: The Dark Mother is the leader of an elite group of assassins and thieves. Though no one has ever actually met the Dark Mother, she has many servants around the world. Whoever plays this character will be extremely gifted in the ways of assassination and theft, and if they wish to interact with others they will be extremely good at disguise and acting.
Wayshire’s Hero: Perhaps the most general part that is offered in this story line. The Wayshire Hero is the local teenager who has just earned their name by defending Wayshire from a group of bandits. This is the person who first discovers the portal opened by the explorers.
