This is something i read in a book today. It is NOT my personal opinion, i just thought i would post this here.
There are two types of homosexual people. There is GAY who are ordinary people who just happen to like the same sex, and then there is GHEY (pronounced the same as gay) who are flaunt their homosexuality in every aspect of their lives. For guys this means being excessively camp and feminine, stereotypical. For girls this means the full on lesbo dyke butch lesbian, who dresses like a man, acts like a man, and more or less wants to be a man.
Gheys are using their sexuality to hide and escape being targeted out. It's like hiding in plain sight. make it totally obvious that you are homosexual and no one will give you crap. Almost like a form of being in the closet.
Once again, this is NOT MY OPINION! I just read it in a book, and thought it could make a topic of discussion.
Your thoughts?

well, according to this, i'm ghey. however, i certainly wouldn't say that i do it in order to hide from people giving me crap. hell, i get more crap from people telling me, "you can be gay and still dress like a girl" than anything else. people would assume that i'm gay because that's just how i am; i'm naturally masculine, violent, deep voice, flat chested. i can't help it.
still, i guess i could understand where the author is coming from. i, personally, would give more crap to the jack type of gay (uh, for those of you who've seen will and grace. if you haven't, then i mean the stereotypically homosexual male) than the will! but whatever. wonder what the sexuality of the author was.

According to this defininition I'm ghey but it's not in order to hide... It's just the way I am, I already dressed like this while I wasn't aware of the fact of being a lesbian...

Whoever wrote that obviously hasn't talked to many gay people about GLBTQ issues.

While I'm pretty sure that I'm questioning and I'm pretty sure I'm bisexual, I'm not sure if I exhibit any visible stereotypical gay behavior. I shaved off my pubic hair, but that doesn't count since I don't flash my parts in public. The only times I am ghey is in the Animal Crossing games and on avatar communities, since they won't know who's dressed like that irl. I usually have my Animal Crossing character have pink hair and sometimes have him wear flowers on his head, and I thought about dying my hair pink all before I thought about how I might be bisexual.
I pretty much have no visible stereotypical features, so I'll go with the first choice.

I make it obvious that I'm gay by other means, but I don't dress like a "butch", I dress in between femme and butch I guess you could say. So I'm... in between gay and ghey? Lol.
