An Emotional King

I know from time to time I stop playing and take a break but recently I've become increasingly frustrated as Jagex updates the game and problems keep occurring regarding training skills since I like to dedicate and go for a 99 once in a while. As it is at the moment I've been slowly working on 99 firemaking but have almost completely ceased playing. I know a lot of people are going to say get members and so forth but don't.

Every time I log in I seem to be swamped with people begging me for items or cash (seriously? In the time someone spends begging they could've made the same from cutting Oaks) or places that we're once good to train some skills are crowded.

As of now the only three decent places to burn logs in the F2P region are Draynor, The Grand Exchange, and Fist of Guthix. There was a path near the Varrock East Bank prior to them adding that stupid gate on the eastern side entrance.

The members game hasn't seemed to change much either, quests are still for mid-level players, there is little to do for end-game or to even work towards, on top of that I'm hard pressed for cash at the moment which is why I'm not paying for members.

In addition when I do log in the Clan Chat is usually dead as when I do play it's early morning Eastern Standard Time, (2AM-4AM).

It's becoming increasingly frustrated to find a motive to play a game I once enjoyed so much when there seems little to do. I'm just wondering where do you guys find your ambition to keep going and keep playing, especially if you ever felt like you were one of the players who has been cast aside and given little to work towards.

first the begging kinda stops when u become mebers cuz tehres way richer ppl to beg 4

second um firemaking its simple click and such but can get really dull and im not suprised you dont wanna play if your goaling for 99 fm, i would too. try taking a break and mixing up ur schedule rs is big enough where you can always find something fun to do may it be minigames pking or another skill just to lighten the mood a bit.

yea members dosent change much in big updates but theres already loads of content to do stuff and its hard to have nothign to do. like slayer =]

but weve all been there where rs just seems to lose the appeal it had when we were nubs and nolifed the game like there was no tomorrow

Finaly my Expertise.. Allright.. I know your pain.. I was Stupid (but i dont regret it..) and got 99 defence first.. with 75 att and 75 str.

.......That.. took alot of patience.. and slowly.. i lost my lust for the game.
Tbh it was freinds that kept me going.. Cheering me on.. gave me the kinda will to log on.. then i restricted myself on what i could and couldnt do.. eventually.. i got it. and my Love of the game was restored.. latley im in the same rut you are.. the begging.. So damn annoying. as ell as people at GE constantly spamming clan chats to join.. seriously... get a life. Do some training for god sake.. Anyways.. I Agree with mixing it up.. but why not do quests that involve fm? Or some kind of Fm exp? Try switching your equipment around... Get some firelighters.. Switching it up doesnt mean (Nessicarily) quitting the skill your working on.. It could just mean chaning how you do it.

I joined The Experts.
I could not leave them because I loved them so much.
I became a Staff Member of The Experts.
I was motivated to stay and start helping out with everyone, even the Leaders.
I became a Co-Leader of The Experts.
I would rather die than leave, and I need to play RuneScape to stay a leader smile

Free to play is a bore. -.-' Never have member objects when entering that place.
Anyways, I sometimes find things boring even when there are a million things to do (as a member) but I find some way to keep going. Setting up little goals, finding an addiction like farming and rcing (sadly, not the top 3 people anymore in this guild), and having friends in clan chat.

I am rarely on now because I got addicted to Supreme Commander Forged Alliance for the Pc. Oh yeah, best strategy game ever! They put the Strategy back in RTS. I am thinking of beating it on hard again where it tooks up to 5 hours to complete 1 campaign. -.-'

I know how you feel.

I myself, have no ambition or desire to play Runescape anymore. The only reason why I do, is because of friends, and the fact that I want to finish all my goals.

I don't log on the clan chat anymore, because I am hardly ever on anymore. And when I am on, I'd rather talk to someone else, or have silence. Since I can talk to any of you guys on Gaia.

About F2P. I do agree, it gets frustrating when someone keeps annoying you for stuff or insulting your without even knowing you. What I do, is use my "Ignore List" and after they are gone, I remove them from it. Or if not, I'll use a German, French, or Brazilian server. If I want to be in an English server I'll use a Quick-Chat world. Mostly though, I leave my public on "Off" or "Friends".

As of lack of interesting updates, not everyone likes the same updates. Like I thought the Woodcutting update was sort of lame. Why don't they work on a skill that needs more updates, such as Mining, Firemaking, or Smithing. I just make goals up and try to achieve them.

I can't get members either, because no store close to me sells a Runescape Card. And, I don't use Credit Cards because my parents wouldn't really approve of it. -Not for any specific reason, other than they are scared that there could be a Keylogger which could steal the credit card numbers. Which is completely idiotic... Since I scan my PC once a week-

What I recommend you do, is take a break, or do something you enjoy. After I got 99 Magic, I just got tired of Runescape.

Good luck!
