Alright. Recycling this thread for its relevancy and keeping things together. Now this thread is about what I should write in my second Help Inquiry Ticket to get myself unbanned.. ._.; The only thing is, the most I can really say is that how I honestly didn't know that it was against the law, I won't do it anymore, this is my first major offense in Gaia EVER in the past 5 years I've been here, and how DJ Helsing suggested that I try sending this second Help Inquiry Ticket. @_@
Also points to .. point out, the admins are obviously strict about following their rules. Also how the first Help Inquiry Ticket ended with a final decision by the admins of a permanent ban for me. D= I don't blame them for their own defenses from a possible lawsuit because of the copyright laws and what not. And of course, the only major difference that I have compared to most of the other people who got banned for the same reason as I, is that DJ Helsing told me about trying the Help Inquiry Ticket again. @_@
So... What to write...
At the convention in New York in the recent announcement. I may be able to go, and I need to prepare for it, even aside from the ridiculous prices in New York. @_@ ... Oh, I should get some Chicken and Rice. =O
Anyway, I intend on raising my ban issue there in hopes of getting something out of it.. Probably not what I'd really want, but heck, I'm going to give it a try. Also because a lot of my friends seem to be going there. o_o
So yeah. At the Q&A at the end of Gaia's ... whatever it is they're doing there, what, and how should I ask about my issue? >_> I'm not sure whether to use a certain argument, or to avoid certain key words or not.

Avoid the words "You" "guys" "are" "jerks" "and" "suck" "big" "time" in the same sentence.

Funny, I was going to tell Kaz to use all those words in the same sentence.
Or..
"Dear Sirs or Madams,
I am quite alarmed at the rash handling about my exclusion in your largely popular community. I say, I was forced out of the premises for helping a fine fellow in knowing my native tongue and transcribing such knowledge on a public book in which others may read and understand. I was purportedly being accused of using materials that were claimed by some fellows who resided internationally. Being a victim of this, I ask of you to restore my status as a frequent visitor of your community, and wish that a fair warning has been given instead. Perhaps we could continue talking about this over a cup tea at my home?
Good day.

Well, at this anime convention, there was a panel regarding copyrights and anime... which wasn't anywhere near full like most other panels were, and explained how even fan-subs are illegal distributions of anime. @_@ And I'm like... buuuuuuhhh... D= This doesn't help me with my case at all.

D= This doesn't help me with my case at all. Honestly, if people had a shred of human decency, it wouldn't matter. There's a huge difference between a fansub group who knows they're doing something illegal and you, who was just trying to help someone out.

Yeah.. ._.; I'm just going to explain my situation and pretty much beg for a second chance or something.
... Because I seriously was never given a second chance. D= This was my first offense.

So yeah. I went to the Gaia Panel at the New York Anime Festival and saw DJ Hellsing there. He spoke about stuff like... NPCs getting new looks, stores getting revamped so that you can chat with people in the store, like other Gaians there, etc. Many details about zOMG with the mini-events, new monsters involved in the mini-events such as the Air Shark and Lawn Shark and whatever, plus new mini-events like... dumping G-Virus infected chickens in Bill's Farm into the well... ? >_>
Other than that... I'dno. Lots of contests for giving away free stuff like... Hermes' Moon, Fallen Star, Steel-plated Ninja Headband, DJ Helsing plushies, 20k gold, OMG Plushies, Watermeat Plushies, etc. Then the Q&A. That rejected me. >_> DJ Helsing said that he doesn't handle any questions involving bans and what not, so he had us see him at the end of the panel instead.
So I did. He was giving out autographed gold coupons then, so I got one. >_> Everyone was just crowding around him so badly, and I was like... stuck, getting packed in by all these people. @_@ So when people were asking him about the ban situations, he had to open his luggage bag with small space, so he had me hold all the gold coupons and his sharpie that he was using to make autographed gold coupons to get.. cards. D= That just told you to go to www.gaiaonline.com/help. Which he ran out of before I even got one. @_@
Soooo... I stuck around longer, took pictures for people with them and DJ Helsing, and he started giving out more free stuff. Got myself a handful of Gaia Online bumper stickers and a Clover Fluff Keychain. And then I finally got to explain my situation, how I've already filled out a Help Inquiry Ticket, and he responded with... "You're going to have to fill out a second help inquiry ticket." ... ._.;;; That's all he could do it seems, so... I may just do that or something, saying that DJ Helsing suggested that I try this and what not.. @_@ Ultimately, I don't know if I've really made much progress besides the free stuff I've gotten.
Of those free stuff is some soul-bounded item you can only get if you were at the panel and stuff, which Vicki confirmed that it was a Gaia Con 2009 badge or something, when I gave her Solomon's Code.
Speaking of Solomon, .... Eh, never mind. ._.;

Still probably too early to bump it up, but I'm doing it anyway for the sake of me saying that the first post has been updated to a more updated topic.

So yeah. I'm assuming that the lack of posts in this thread means that there really isn't much else to say in my Help Inquiry Ticket... @_@ I'm not sure what good this will do, but... DJ Helsing suggested it. >_> LoL. That's all I'm pretty much going by...

Ugh, great. ._.;;; I can't make a new Help Inquiry Ticket because of some site glitch that just takes you to a different page instead of the page where you can fill one out when you click the link...

What I wrote in my Second Help Inquiry Ticket:
What exactly happened?:
I'm sorry, I have to be honest with myself and say that this did not occur over a year ago. However, I did feel the need to make another request by the suggestion made by DJ Hellsing when I spoke to him at the New York Anime Festival.
Anyway, back on topic, I was involved in an organized thread that ran a translation business involving Japanese manga scans before. At the time, I did not know it was an act of violation against the copyright laws, nor did anyone else involved it seems. It didn't cross my mind that helping fan-translations were illegal considering how many sites seem to openly distribute works such as that. After getting banned and discussing it with the admin in my previous Help Inquiry Ticket was when I truly learned of what copyright infringement I had done, as well as participating in a panel at NYAF about copyrights.
I know I have done a fairly irreversable damage against the mangakas and any official translation businesses out there, as well as the risks I have put Gaia Online into by doing these works for Gaia Gold. However, I wish to make amends if possible. I do not care if the items of equal value I have gained from those trades be taken away from my account, but I wish to have my account back to be a part of Gaia's community as a whole once more.
Who was involved?:
Meggykinz - The person who ran said fan-translation business who also supplied me the gold from her mule account. As for the name of her mule slips my mind at the moment, but I had generally received gold in increments of 125k each trade I believe.
How exactly did this occur?:
Meggykinz was hiring many translators to translate manga scans and had been doing so for over 2 years. She also went far enough to say that none of the mods had any problem with her doing this here on Gaia upon asking them as far back as over 2 years ago. Aside from asking mods, there were several times her threads regarding translating manga were moved from one forum to another by several mods, often to another forum of similar category. These details are important in that many of us were completely unaware of the fact that fan-translation was in violation of copyright laws, and were following this business practice that had been going on for a long time blindly. I was one of those blind followers who stumbled upon this business on Gaia..
Location Details:
Most of it was handled off of Gaia's site, mainly in E-mails. Her translation thread.. was removed from the forums at the same time all of those involved in this translation business was banned, so I cannot recall which specific sub-forum it was in.
Please describe your inquiry here:
A special request from an honestly sorry user who misses Gaia very deeply... Also suggested by DJ Hellsing at NYAF.
... And here's the response I got... >_>
