Today vampires are common knowledge. We know they exist but until we get a good look at somebody’s mouth it’s hard to tell just who exactly is a vampire. They’re out there though, and they sure as hell don’t sparkle.
Vampires aren’t human. They never were and they never will be. There’s no extravagant tale of the devil creating vampires as his demonic minions and believe it or not evolution played a part in vampric existence as well.
Humans and Vampires coevolved. Millions of years ago, when humankind was covered with hair, vampires were walking on four legs. They were large catlike animals that roamed the scorching plains in search of blood. Once their jaws clamped around the jugular of Lucy and our missing link, it was certain humankind was the only formidable prey.
Today scientists all over the world have come up with reasons as to why vampires gain the most nutrients from Homo sapiens. It stems directly from why vampires drink blood instead of eating flesh. A vampire’s heart produces blood that circulates through the body, one problem, the red blood cells cannot collect and deliver oxygen to the body’s organs. When a vampire drinks blood, the blood does not get digested. Instead it goes directly into the blood stream where it is met by transformation cells that fuse the animal and vampire red blood cells together. This creates blood inside the body that can perform correctly. Human blood, works best. The idea is that though vampires and humans are not the same species, they can still reproduce which means vampire and human genetics are frighteningly similar. Because humans and vampires are so closely related human blood is the most efficient when fusing with vampire blood. Because this was discovered early on, though not scientifically, vampires coevolved to look almost identical to humans. It proved an amazing camouflage when hunting, a camouflage so good it confused even the vampires.
Hundreds of thousands of years ago, vampires and humans reproduced together. What they created was not an abomination, but a watered down version of a pureblooded vampire.

Class and Population Those years ago the pureblood line was broken and weaker, more diluted vampires were born. Once a pureblood mates with a human a noble is created. If the noble continues to mate with humans and so on and so forth, common vampires are the result. _ _ _
Humans: Roughly 6.5 billion
Common Vampires: Roughly 3 billion
Noble Vampires: Roughly 500 million
Purebloods: 50
Common Vampires- - ->Common vampires are the most usually spotted of the three types. They are kept civil by Nobles at most times but are under the law of the pureblood governing the area they live in. These vampires live relativly normal lives...though they do a bit of hunting after dark.Strength---> Oh look! I can pick up this elephant!
Speed--->Around 70 mph give or take
Healing---> It takes about a day to recover from serious injury and lost limbs can be reattached
Senses---> Enhanced
Powers---> Extendable clawsNoble Vampires- - - >Nobles all have a vast accumulation of wealth. They are barely tainted by human blood, but, they are still tainted. It’s not incredibly rare to see a noble vampire but most people will never lay eyes on one. Nobles all come from influential families and attend all council meetings. They are many steps above a common vampire.Strength---> Oh look! I can pick up this truck!
Speed--->I’m going to run over to that rock, wanna see me do it again?
Healing---> It takes maybe an hour to recover from serious injury. If reattached correctly, a noble and carry on like nothing happened even if beheaded.
Senses---> Extremely enhanced.
Powers---> Extendable claws and have up to two personal powers, cannot mind read.Purebloods- - ->Seeing a pureblood is probably one of the rarest sights in the world. To view a pureblood, is the same as spotting the legendary white gorilla. It’s almost impossible. There are so few purebloods, and all of them are completely untainted by human seed. They are entirely vampire. Their ancestors never once mated with humans and the line is pure. Purebloods are incredibly wealthy. They are respected by all vampires and most likely feared as well. Strength---> Oh look! I can pick up this building! ...
Speed--->Not even at top speed they are invisible to the naked eye and most cameras.
Healing---> It takes a minute to recover from serious injury unless said injury was inflicted by another pureblood. If so healing may take up much more time.
Senses---> So enhanced the chemicals in the brain can be smelled and breaths of an insect can be heard.
Powers---> Extendable claws and have around four or so personal powers. They however cannot mindread and powers can only be used on lesser vampires/humans, or weaker purebloods.

 GovernmentThe vampire population is governed by a council of Noble elders. This council deals with global conflict and is extremely influential.
The council however is completely overruled by pureblood decisions. Purebloods run everything. They can tell the council what to do and the council will do it with almost no fight at all. Purebloods are broken up as leaders of certain areas. Three families with rule over each continent.
Some pureblood families are relatively simple. They have no real position but fall under one of the branches. There is the docile pureblood who tend to make political decisions and then there are the pureblood families bred purposely for the constant warfare.
The most influential pureblood families (the ones that basically call all the shots) are--->
Argentum-Treasury
Olividascarterum-Human affairs
Censura-Judegment
Cruentus-Punishment and warfare.
All of these families are European. Out of all the purebloods, the Europeans are the ones that have the most power politically and keep everything going smoothly. American purebloods are extremely laid back which ironically works well considering their human counterparts are much more aggressive. The Asian purebloods tried to break away from European command roughly a thousand years ago and once the Asian purebloods were put in line, European vampires kept and even stricter hold of their power.
At first glance it seems unfair but in reality vampire affairs run extremely smoothly.
Though there are still problems with Asia, the Cruentus family as well as lesser war based families, keep everything according to plan.

 The Art of MarkingAll vampires are bound to a purebloods rule. They must do whatever a pureblood says not only because it is the law, but because instinctually they submit. It is something that cannot be fought. Though some lesser vampires are a bit more rebellious than others, ultimately every vampire abides by whatever a pureblood says.
In America, the ancient art of marking seems to have died out. In fact most European purebloods seemed to have lost interest in the practice as well. The only vampires constantly marking are the war generals who continuously have to make sure their troops serve only them.
Marking ensures loyalty to one single pureblood. A mark is a bite to the neck by a pureblood to either a noble or a common vampire. Once the pureblood’s venom is in the blood stream, the bite will not heal and that particular bitten will be able to go against other purebloods and only abide by the rule of the pureblood that bit them.
After being bitten the vampire usually retains some of the smell of the pureblood who marked them. The marked vampire (if bitten casually and not for war) is usually hanging around their pureblood.
Once the mark is made, it can be removed only if another pureblood marks them. In this circumstance the newer venom takes control and the vampire becomes that of the fresher pureblood.
Being marked is considered a tremendous honor and is a form of protection as well as favoritism.

Vampire Customs--A pureblood’s blood is never to be spilt.
--Pureblood's are not allowed to scar their bodies through means of piercings or tattoos
--Nobles are to put their lives on the line to protect a pureblood if the situation calls for it.
--An extremely polite way to address a pureblood (this is quite common) is “my lord” or “my lady”
--Purebloods are so esteemed vampires tend to drop everything for them.
--Common vampires are to listen to Nobles at all times.
--If a pureblood is seen by a common vampire, the vampire is to kneel and bow its head. Pureblood Mating and Heat All purebloods go through heat. Females got rough heat much earlier than males usually when they around the age 200. It is almost like a second puberty. They become fertile during heat and their strength as well as power matures so initially the pureblood becomes physically more powerful.
Males go through heat much later than females. It usually takes place when they are around 400 or so. The same thing applies for males as it does for females.
During heat, the vampire had an extreme urge to mate. They radiate an intoxicating scent that lures the other sex in. Usually the urge is satisfied with a noble is the vampire in heat does not yet have a mate.

Everto Nemus Most times, the death of a vampire is caused either by another vampire, a hunter (poacher more or less) or of old age.
Death by old age for a Common Vampire is usually around two thousand years.
For a Noble 5000 years.
For a pureblood 10,000 is usually the time they commit suicide. It is not known how long a pureblood can live but one they hit around 10,000 years their body begins to deteriorate and they slip into insainty. It was a custom for the elderly purebloods to either kill themselves, or have a family member do it for them.
These are the normal ways of dying however there is a dangerous reality.
Everto Nemus is the Vampire name for an endangered African wood. The wood is incredably lethal to all types of vampires. It's actually even more deadly to purebloods.
If Everto Nemus so much as touched a vampire's skin, the cells almost instantly and the area turn a rotten black.
Everto Nemous is not taken lightly. No one is to have possesion of it outside of those that are authorized. War have been started over Everto Nemus and the wood is not even used during executions.
Some humans have a hold of Everto Nemus and they a sought out and disposed of.
Everto Nemus is where legend of staking a vampire came from.

Where it all begins. As of now a completely vampric war has been won by the European vampires over those in Asia. The battle had been raging on for five years so a period of resting is in order for the pureblood commander.
What he had been unaware of is the uprising of human hunters and vampire poachers. Humans discovered that vampire blood could be used as a medication. The blood of a vampire can be used to instantly heal serious injury such as broken bones, amputations and even certain diseases. Undoubtedly vampire blood goes for a ridiculously high price. Even better is if vampire blood is consumed by a human it acts as a potent hallucinogenic, a hardcore drug. Now the tables have turned on the prey has become the predator. Panic is in a wave of uproar and it is as always, left on the purebloods and nobles to decide what to do. The possibility of war against the humans is hanging in the air and chaos seems to line the midnight streets.
Especially because the poaches have gotten a hold of Everto Nemus.
With this new crisis, the more esteemed vampires have been forced closer. Feelings between nobles and purebloods might become evident or perhaps love will be completly rejected. It's hard to say what runs through the mind of a ruthless killer just as it's hard to say what will happen in a world where complications are at every corner, bais is everywhere and vampire don't sparkle. ------------------------------------------------------

Gabe's attention was drawn to Seth, his head lobbing to the side lazily.
"Cutt of their supply? Really? Don't you think that's what we've been doing? Don't you think that perhaps if we were to find this "secret stash" of everto nemus, the only way to cut them off would be cutting them apart?"
He had a point there. History showed the humans wouldn't give up their orchards for all the money in the world.
"At first this idea of yours astounded me, it really did." He sounded positive....but then his tone trurned vicous. "But then I remembered you are a man that sides more with your food than your people." Uh oh, accusation? Not entierly but it was a way to degrade his opponent.
"Host a meeting with Hunters is something that has been done. But it is not hunters we're worried about it's poachers. And we know exactly what their side is. They kill us for our blood. Even worse they don't need this blood as we need theirs to survive. They've medicated themselves wonderfuly up until now there is no reason our people should be drained for a cause we do not believe in."
Well apparently Gabe knew his stuff---that or he knew how to seem like he did.
"So my human loving counterpart, how does that sound in regaurd to your petty meeting. I'm sure the company of people hunting down your own kind to use as illegal drugs is something we should all invest in."
No wonder he rarly showed to meetings, he shot everybody down.

She flashed her aunt a glare before continuing as if she hadn't spoke.
"A meeting isn't going to do s**t! What if you show up there in the meeting and they attack, then what?" She scoffed.
"If the meeting is a must, you have to take the strongest powered of us along to it, just as a safety precaution." Abella really knew how to sound like she knew what she was talking about. Not that she was in the dark about all of this, but she didn't know every detail.
She caught Seths flirting agreement too. Disgusting.

Felicity Eliza Thaddeus The calm... ...Before the storm Eliza At first, Eliza had no trouble staying quiet. She was too caught up thinking about her father, and the possibility that he had been killed. She had much rather preferred the thought of him running around somewhere in a jungle or something, no joke.
However, as the talk went on, she couldn't help but form an opinion of her own. She also knew that unless it was completely for Gabe and Abella's agreement, it would most likely be entirely ignored. Just like the other noble girl that had. Even Seth, a pureblood, was being shot down by their combination.
And she was not only just a noble, but a young one, and barely taking over the family and at her first meeting with her position official. Yeah, her opinion probably didn't go very far.
Fortunately, or maybe not, she couldn't help but agree with them on some level.
Something needed to be done.
And a meeting was not going to solve it.
But going so far as war? Was that necessary?
Maybe not, at least, not yet.
However, she was still trying to piece together an alternative. An all out war would see a massacre of humanity, that was almost inevitable, and many vampires, including more nobles, and possibly, even a few pure bloods, who's numbers were already so few, killed.
Well, here went nothing.
"Must a war be declared? I agree that something has to be done, and that a meeting would likely solve nothing, and even, that blood shed in a form, may be necessary at this point. But at that, the Everto Nemus will only be hoarded and hidden better then ever, and it may well be much of our blood that is shed, as they intend."
She paused, but continued quickly before she was interrupted. Already, many were looking at her, some with curiosity, some with contempt. Some even, with complete disinterest.
"Don't we still have spies? Vampires that walk among the humans undetected?" of course, none that could stay as one roll, but she had heard of some that walked among them without suspicion, eaves dropping and the like. Never as the same person, but a mere passersby even.
"We already have guard's posted you say, but are there no special teams and the like, that can be sent in to investigate, spy in secret whilst concealing themselves, and perhaps discover what we don't already know? Then the poachers alone can be dealt with swiftly, while the whole of humanity and vampire kind alike go on mainly unruffled?"
Ell was t least half expecting to be completely shot down here. After all, there were plenty of unknown variables she, well, didn't know, and military planning was not her forte. But without this knowledge, she could at least try? It was better then not trying, right? Come what may
The show must go on
