Ohanzee flew through the darkening sky, not a care holding him to one spot. Ever since that eventful night when he'd reverted and struck Annelise, no memories or regret went through his mind to bother him. When he was hungry he killed, when he was bored...he might kill anyway. At the moment his chin and mouth was stained with dried blood from his last meal. With a snort he dove, landing near a river to get a drink.
Kaya had flown off to find her brother the moment news had reached her of their Father leaving and their Mother going missing. Together they had decided to search for Ohanzee first, hoping what they saw was not as horrible as was described. Padding alongside Keme now, she found her heart in her throat, her nerves driving her to move faster. Something slimy was bending to get a drink. "F...Father...? Oh my..."

A fire was lit in Keme's eyes. After hearing of what his father had done to their mother, and her going missing, his mind was open to all options . . . although he didn't want to believe the worst had happened he couldn't hold back. Keme stopped in his tracks. He wasn't afraid and took a step closer to his sister to try and give her some comfort. Keme knew it had to be harder on her than any of the others.

He could tell a few lions were approaching him, could hear the quickening heart beat of one of them. He knew one was a lioness, the other a lion. But he had not guessed they were his children. Though he was not surprised...he was not at all pleased. Finishing his drink first, he turned, eyes glowing, to face them. It was the eldest of them. Keme and Kaya. "Heh...what do you want...? I have no food to offer either of you..." Grins, watching Kaya grow pale.
He was different. It was far worse than the description she'd been given. His long slimey tongue hung from his mouth...was...was that blood staining his mouth..? "I...don't want food Dad..." She forced a lump that had formed in her throat down, stepping closer. "I...I miss you...why did you leave us...?" As she took in his appearance, her heart started to sink.

Keme stayed quiet for the longest time. He couldn't believe this was what his father was, he didn't want to believe it! But here was the truth, standing right in front of them. "How could you abandon us like this? Do you know what's happened? Of course you don't because you don't care."

"I left because I never wanted a family. I am a Monster. I want nothing a family gives...putting aside my real passions for another was a mistake..." His grin dissapeared, instead becoming emotionless as both spoke to him. Memories of the two in their younger days flooded his mind...but he pushed them out, not paying attention anymore. "Humor me my dear Keme...what has happened..? Tell daddy..." Grins, eyes glowing.
Nothing could have prepared her for what her Father said. Those words crushed her very being, leaving her heart in a million pieces. Tears dripped to the ground as she stepped forward, yet shrunk lower to the ground. "Then...then why?! Why did you say you loved me?! You...you said that we were best friends...that....that...you were proud of me..." Her shoulders move as sobs choke her up, ears flat against her skull.

Keme was willing to put aside all of his hate and anger for a moment, but now it all boiled and bubbled inside. "You lied to her! You lied to us! Being weak and letting that thing consume you! That's your only mistake. You'd let the ones who love you go just like that," his words were dripping with venom as he spoke. "You want to know what happened? Our mother has gone missing. She went out hunting that night to clear her mind and to forget you," he waited a moment to let the words sink in. "And now she's gone. Who knows what's happened to her. But why should I tell you. You don't care for her anymore. You never loved her." Keme said all that he had locked up inside. He didn't care if he hit a nerve or not, he only wanted his father to feel what they had been feeling.

Truth be told, the only bit of information that angered him was the comment of him being weak. That is what he focused on, and that is why he stood and padded up to his eldest son, fangs glowing in the moon light. "I was weak when I gave up my true passion. You wouldn't understand this boy, because you are foolish enough to stay around this thing called love." He then turned, his tail hitting Keme on the cheek lightly. "For speaking that way and getting me all riled up...your sister pays..." His voice trailed off as his appearance changed, becoming more sinister. Before his daughter could defend herself he dug his fangs deep into her shoulder, barely missing her jugular. A contented growl left him as her fresh flowing blood dripped down her leg, growing quickly into a pool.
Kaya backed away, eyes wide in horror as her Father transformed before her eyes. If he'd scared her before, now she would have nightmares for the rest of her days. "D...dad...?" He was too fast for her, a throbbing pain causing her to scream into the night air. Warmth trickling down her leg caused her to look down and see her blood spilling out. With a strangled groan she reached for her brother, tears flowing from her eyes. "K..Keme...help me..."

Keme threw his head back and let out a thunderous roar. This monster was not his father and never would be, never would he trust this thing again. "How dare you!" he yelled and charged at his father at full speed, ramming his head into his father's side. "I won't let you hurt this family!"

Ohanzee yowled in pain when his son rammed into his side at a point blank range. His fangs drug along Kaya's leg as he was shoved away, then he himself went tumbling into the river with a loud splash. For a moment he just lay there, letting the fact he was rammed sink in. When he got back to his feet his eyes were black as coal, glaring at his son as his voice dripped with venom. "You'd both be wise...to leave here now...if I ever see you again Keme...I will kill you..."
Kaya lost her footing, whimpering in pain, her shoulder shredded and bloody from those bloody fangs. She could not look at him again, too much pain filling her heart as well as her shoulder. She forced herself to her three good paws and moved away as fast as she could, until she had to lean against her brother. "P..please...take me away from here...away from...him..."

Keme stood his ground. A fire blazed deep inside and he wanted nothing more than the monster to die now, but his main concern was his sister. "I'd like to see you try," he growled and draped a wing over his sister. "Kaya, we need to find a different place. I need to find some vines. You need pressure on your shoulder to stop the bleeding," he whispered into his sister's ear softly. He started to take slow steps away from the monster and made sure he was close to his sister. She was bleeding badly and he couldn't help but think the worse, "If she dies it'll be your fault monster," Keme growled over his shoulder, his fangs bared and claws unsheathed.

Ohanzee relaxed as Keme helped his sister up, a cruel smile forming across his bloody maw. "I hope she dies Keme...for the pain of her death won't bother me...But it will Torture you to no end...then you'll come find me for revenge and I'll have the pleasure of ripping your throat apart..." To emphasize his point, he ran up and bit Keme's tail, quickly darting off afterward, his nightmarish laughter echoing through the air.
Kaya whimpered in pain as her brother helped her move. A chill ran down her spine as she listened to the last few words between her brother and father..."Die...? I...don't want to die...Keme..." Shudders as the monster runs at them. She managed to get far enough away that the swamp could not be smelled, then passed out from blood loss.

Keme growled as his father bit his tail. Blood began to drip, but it didn't bother him much. Any pain had gone numb the moment he saw their father to the very end. "You won't die, because I won't let you," Keme said softly. He watched as she passed out and lied her gently on the soft ground. Keme ran quickly to the nearest tree that had vines wrapping around the trunk and ripped off a good chunk. Returning to his sister, he cleaned her wounds and gave her the best medical attention he could and prayed to the heavens she was and would stay alive.

((dropping Ohanzee since...they pretty much seperated.))
Kaya lay like that for a long while until, slowly, her eyes opened. She simply looked around for a moment before the memories of what had happened hit her. With a grunt she tried to stand, but quickly gave up as her shoulder throbbed. "Keme...what are we going to do...?" Looks up at her brother, wincing from pain. Now more than ever she longed for her Mother's gentle soothing touch. "We are not...safe here..."

Keme shook his head and tried to clear his mind, "We can do only what is sensible. We need to stay in pairs or trios from now on wherever we go until we're sure that we're truly safe on our own land," her wrapped a long leaf around her wound twice, then tied it gently with a couple of thick vines. It was tight enough, so there was the right amount of pressure to stop the bleeding. "For tonight, we will stay here. I'll stay up all night on watch. You need to rest. I hope our mother has done what she needs, because we're going to need everyone with us. We need to stand strong together as a family, and right now I think we all need each other."
