I've already started a thread about memorable/ funny experiences in D&D, this ones about the characters. I want to hear about your stranger characters. Was it a half-elven bard with a Flying V guitar (guilty as charged biggrin ) or the odd drunken cleric? Things like that.
I'll post some of mine after I see a few.

My wizard i play now in the Drow game we play on Sunday at my house.
His Name is Va'arral Tu'Loose, he's a drug using poison expert. Thing that makes him interesting is that he gets high and rushes into the front line, goading enemies to fight him. Then torturing and killing the last one standing. the guy is mad fun to play with i play him like a sadist that has a sense of humor and no notion of mercy.

Would Minsc from Baldur's Gate count!?
or a Halfling that volunteered to be tossed 20+ ft into the air?
Or a pantless, hairy, dwarf barbarian that had bits of mud and stone littered about his hair >.>
perhaps a cleric of pelor that glomps drow? (Funny story)

A friend of mine has always had guff with the arcane spell failure chance rules. By his reckoning, since masterwork studded leather armor has no armor check penatly but still carries a 15% spell failure chance, then spellcasting must be more intensive than, say, the tumble skill. He made a character to illustrate this:
Dr. Hoolio VonLovecrush, a breakdancing halfling sorceror, used headspins and such as his somatic component for spells. He had a half-orc cohort bard, named Major Chord, who carried an upright piano around on his back, which he would drop, roll backwards over the top of, and start pounding out the battle music on while the good Doctor unfolded his cardboard and prepared to shoot magic missiles in the form of golden records from his feet.

PROBABLY.
