As some of you are aware my Nan's been in hospital since 26th September having most of her insides removed, well she's been to death's door and back and today she's being discharged xd My Mum was very worried that she'd get it into her head to go into a nursing home in Skegness as she loves it there, but they're sending her to Bonner House, which i can practically see from my window 3nodding it's also county council run so they wont be charging her hundreds of pounds a week. No idea if she'll be home for Christmas, it might be better if she isn't as it may all be a bit much for her and the rest of us! But seeing as we never expected her to leave to hospital, it was 4 weeks ago when they told us they could do nothing for her and we were just waiting for her to die, this is a very happy turn of events 3nodding

Went up to see her yesterday, she seems very happy there, it's a nice place, looks similar to the hotels that are geared towards pensioners, flowery carpets and cheesy paintings on the wall, tv turned up too loud in the lounge, but she doesn't have far to go between her room, the dining room, bathroom or lounge and there's rails on all the walls. It's very heartening to see her upright and dressed again, i think that alone can make you feel so much further down the road to recovery, and there's bingo tomorrow afternoon, her eyes lit up when she told me about that! lol
