 Zana hummed as she 'danced' along the trail to the watering hole. Ever so often she burst into song, twirling around as she skipped and hopped about. Sure it looked silly, but she was so full of joy it was hard to find fault with her.
Shaking out her fur, Zana giggled softly padding to the waters edge, dipping her feet in the cool water with a content sigh. It was such a beautiful day, the sun was high in the sky, everything was right in her world.
Another song, bubbled up in her chest till she couldn't do anything, but tip her head back letting the music spill forth. The tone was sweet and pure though still a little young.

Kova'Rytmi life was always full of music. He was born into the Nchi pride. His mother coming from the pride and his father joining into the pride because of the music. His parents were brought together by music. His mother was the drum maker of the pride. His father loved to dance. Since him and his siblings were born his mother was always teaching them about song or dance. He couldn't put his paw on what he wanted to do quite yet. However he was crazy about music and that was all that mattered to him.
So it wasn't unlike this cub to be dancing in his own little awkward way as he walked. It was harder to dance and walk at the same time than it was to hold still and walk. On that note it was odd for him to be wandering away from the pride. But his mother saying that she used to wander away some times when she was younger he was curious to find out what it was like.
Besides he wanted to see if he could run into some one on his adventure out.
He smirked slightly as he kept dancing toard the place where his mother pointed him to. He had a large smile on his face. And as he approached it he saw another person there. She looked around the same age as him. As he wandered over he started to pick up a more complicated dance. Smiling widely as he did, Enjoying the music.

Zana's ears twitched as she heard the rhythm of paws on the hard packed earth, not aware that her song altered to match the beat of his feet. Lifting her head, she looked around for the source of the rhythm, a bright smile breaking over her muzzle as she saw a young male about her age.
"Hello!" She got her feet perking her ears up as she pranced/danced towards him, as if her body couldn't contain the music inside her soul. This young male was the first besides her father that she had ever seen dance. Most of her siblings just stared at her or ignored her completely.
"I am Zana, it is a pleasure to meet a fellow musical soul."

It was in fact very different for Kova. His entires pride his family an others were full of music. It wasn't odd to wake up to the drumming of other lions. In fact it was odd to walk out and not see others dancing around and drumming. In fact there were few times where he hadn't woken up to at least the pleasant sound of his mother humming as him and his siblings started to rise from their sleep and start to wander around the den, or even dance around in it, it was big enough.
He looked at the female and stopped standing in place as a large goofy grin grew on his face. "Hello there!" He giggled slightly with excitement. Hw was happy to have wandered out to these lands and see some one new, he had a feeling he would like meeting others that were not from the pride.
"Hello Zana! And I'm not the only one around here. My pride isn't that far off we all play music there." He nodded proudly before flicking his hair out of his eyes. He didn't look like anyone from his pride, they're was only one white lion as far as he knew. "I like the markings on your leg!" He said with excitement in his voice.

Zana's eyes widened at the knowledge there was and entire pride of musical lions. Often her sisters mocked her for her singing, only her father understood her need to give sound to the music and joy inside her.
"Your whole pride...they all love music?" When he said he liked the marking on her leg, she giggled looking down at her markings, " Thank you very much, I like them too cause they remind me of my daddy."
Cocking her head she studied him with a happy smile. Maybe she would finally have a friend that understood her music. "Do you like to sing or do you like to dance? I am not much of a dancer, but daddy says that is just cause I am still growing and that I am all legs."

Kova grinned at the lioness, there were a few pride members that were the same size and age as him but he thought it was nice to run into some one different every once in a while. He wiggled around excitedly before nodding. "Yep!" He sat up a little more very proud of his pride. He always was proud of the pride, he was glad that he was born into it with the loving family that he had. "I look like my daddy too... Well at least a little bit." He flicked his tail around a little more.
"I like to do both. I'm better at dancing though like my daddy." He flashed him a wide grin before thinking a little more. "I like to play the drums some times too like my mommy, but otherwise I think I really like dancing. I don't know... I'm still thinking." He nodded toward her before flashing a bigger grin.

Zana sighed, a look of longing on her face. "Do..do you think I could visit your pride? I would love to meet other musical souls." It would be wonderful to talk to others who understood the music inside her, well besides her father.
Cocking her head to the side, she frowned faintly, " What are drums?" She had no idea that there were instruments in the world, after all she had meet very few outside her family that even knew about music. One young lion hadn't even known what singing was.

Kova looked at the other cub before grinning and nodding widely. "I don't see why not. Everyone in the pride is friendly. Even for the longest time my daddy wasn't part of the pride then he joined when he was older." He giggled slightly before wiggling around a bit. "My mommy is really important in the pride she's a teacher." He giggled again before making a small face.
"Well... It's hard to explain. But it's like a hallow gourd and... You put animal skin on it... When you tap on it it makes sounds! It makes a lot of really cool sounds and it sounds good when you're singing along with it." He pawed at her then nodded. "So you really like singing? Does anyone else you know likes to sing?"

Zana's ears perked as she wiggled excited. Not only did his mother love music, she taught music! Oh what fortune to meet someone like him. Blinking, her mouth made a perfect -O- of surprise. Drums sounded fascinating.
"Do you have a drum? I would like to see one. " She beamed as she tilted her head, "Yes I love to sing, it makes me happy. My father sings too, he sings with me sometimes. I really like it when he sings with me.

Kova nodded toward her and then stretched her paws a bit and smiled slightly before licking his lips and then grinning toward her. "I don't have a drum." His voice trailed before making another small face. "I wish I did but I haven't got to make one yet." He then grinned once more. "I loove to sing too! Some times my dad and mom and brothers and sister sing too! Some times the whole pride sings!"

Her eyes widened as an expression of pure longing came over her face. Oh, to meet others who shared her passion, who understood what it was to have music inside of them... Purring happily she pranced towards her new friend, " I am sure you will have your drum soon and it will be the best drum ever!"
"Are you sure it would be ok for me to visit your family?" She didn't want to get him in trouble with his pride. Father had warned all the cubs that some prides didn't like outsiders coming onto their lands.

Kova grinned at her before flicking his hair and nodding toward him. "I really hope so. A lot of other lions in the pride have some really awesome drums." He looked dwon at his paws before letting out a small sigh before loking back at her. "I'm more that sure that it is fine that you can visit." He nodded again with a smile.

"I would love to see them if you don't mind." A sot purr rumbled from the little female, eager to meet the musical pride and see their drums. Then she could tell her father about them. She was sure he had never seen a drum either and it would fascinate him as much as it would her.
"When can I visit?" Oh soon she hopped!

Kova looked at her and cocked his head to the side. "Well I don't know if you can see the enitre pride but I can introduce you to my mother." He gave her a grin before nodding. "She isn't that far away from the borders. OH! And she has a drum!" He chuckled before wiggling around a little bit and flicking his tail behind him excitedly.

Zana immediately jumped up purring, " Really?!" Taking a deep breath to calm herself again, Zana smiled "I would like very much if we could go meet her. Do you think she would mind meeting me now?" Oh to meet someone new that understood and she had a drum! Zana couldn't wait to try out a drum and see what it sounded like.
