Louisa had spent most of her Saturday wandering around looking for good things to photograph, she had taken well over 200 photos and she hoped that there was at least one good one if not more. She had stopped for lunch and gone to the cafe where she had met Eve. The cafe was a nice one, a busy one and it sold good ice cream!
She had found a table near the window where she could look out and daydream, something she seemed to do a little too often. She had a ham sandwich and a bowl of ice cream that she was eating slowly, enjoying each mouthful. It wasn't often that she enjoyed her food, savoring the taste but today she was really enjoying everything. Today she seemed to see the beauty in the world - it was oh so cliched! She smiled to herself as she took another bite of her sandwich. She looked at her camera and started looking through all the pictures she had taken. She smiled at a few of them and went back to her sandwich. Today had been a good day so far. It really had been a good day!

Today had been a fairly normal day. She had turned in the costume she had finished for the play, and attended rehersal, as usual. Nothing really to remark about.
Bell walked in to the cafe as she did just about every day, and went to the counter to order her chocolate mocha cappuchino, and strawberry pastry. She had gotten a bit of sun last time she had sat at one of the out door tables, so this time she opted for one inside, that just oh so conveniently happened to be near Loiusa.
The young academy girl, and aspiring actress took her seat, and from her bag, pulled out her script for some more studying. Practice did, of course, make perfect! Or at least close to it...

Louisa didn't notice the girl for a while, it was normal for her to just not notice things happening around her. In fact she had looked through all 261 photos and finished her sandwich before she noticed someone sitting on a table near her. Louisa didn't recognize her, not that it was really surprising. Louisa wasn't exactly a popular girl but she did notice people normally even if she didn't know them. Then again she could always be a Crystal girl, Louisa had already met two girls from the rival school, one in this cafe in fact.
She started to eat her ice cream half watching the girl wondering what it was she was reading. Louisa rather liked books and reading, she would read anything if given the chance.
"Reading anything good?" It was a bold move on Louisa's part though it was also part of her 'must be more social' plan that so far was going well, at least she believed it to be. She could sometimes be a little too forward and say things she later regretted but generally it seemed to be going okay.

At the sound of the girl's voice, Bell lifted her head from her reading, and looked to see if it was, indeed, she who was being addressed. Bell tucked a pice of hair behind her ear and shrugged.
"A script for the theatre's production of The Secret Garden musical... I'm playing to role of Lily." She gave a small smile of sorts.
The production date was coming closer and closer. The young aspiring actress should have been nervose but she found that she was more anxious than nervose. Perhaps it was because she was gearing up for the next production which had been decided upon that morning..perhaps she was becoming arrogant. Either way, it didn't change the way she felt.

Louisa wasn't really sure what to say now she didn't know much about plays, though she was good with musicals.
"Sounds fun." She tried to sound as enthusiastic as she could but she wasn't sure if she pulled it off or not. She wasn't sure about plays and she hadn't heard of The Secret Garden as a play, she had read a book but she couldn't remember the main characters name, just the garden and a boy and a robin showing the girl a door.
"You like acting a lot?" It was probably a stupid question but she wasn't sure what else to say. Maybe she shouldn't have said anything at all.

"Indeed I do," Bell said with a nod. "I hope to become a professional actress one day. What about you? What's your hobby?" Bell obviously didn't want to be rude and just talk about herself, but oh wait!
"Oh! My name is Bell,..Bell McMahon. I'm sorry, I should have introduced myself first." Bell laughed slightly. She often forgot to bother with introductions, because most of the time she'd forget the person's name anyway, or never see them again, so in the end why bother? But, it was polite, and the Academy was a school the prized etiquette highly! Sometimes though, it was really just a bother.

Louisa would have been more then happy for Bell to talk about herself as she wasn't much of a talker and if the other person was talking it meant she wouldn't say anything stupid.
"It's nice to meet you Bell, I am Louisa McIntyre." She smiled as nicely as she could which quite possibly looked rather awkward.
"My hobby is photography mostly." In fact it was her only real hobby, of course she did other things, she had her animals and she liked reading and doodling but photography got her out the house and doing things. It also meant she had bumped in to people and spoken to them, which couldn't be a bad thing right?

"Really?" Bell smiled a bit more. "Do you like, uh, taking pictures of landscapes, animal, or people?"
One of her father's old girlfriends had liked photography. Daddy had bought the girl an expensive camera too, just before she broke up with him. Bell knew the lady was a gold digger from the start, but she didn't let one photo hobbyist set the stage for judgment against Louisa!

Louisa nodded and then thought about it a while.
"I take pictures of most things, I like wildlife photography most but i like to take some odd photos every now and then. I have a habit of going out hiking at the weekends to take photos, its nice out there away from the hustle and bustle!" Louisa sounded enthusiastic as she spoke. it was something she loved and adored so it was something she could talk about for ever and ever. Oh and how she adored to talk about the animals as well.
"I guess you like having your photo being taken? As you want to be an actress?" It seemed to make sense in Louisa's mind, after all actresses had their photos taken all the time.

Bell gave a small shrug in response. "It's a necessary evil."
She rarely had any good picture taken. Her past yearbook pictures had been,...awful. Though, she liked to think that the photographers had just been incompetent - horrible lighting, ghastly timing, and,...blah! Other than that, she'd never really had any professional pictures taken. Candids...those she didn't even want to think about. Those were often WORSE than the yearbook photos.

"You don't like your photo being taken?"
A necessary evil isn't something Louisa had heard to describe photography before and she had always assumed that those who acted and were famous adored their photo being taken. Louisa had never thought that they wouldn't like their photo being taken.
"You can make people look amazing by taking a photo..." It was a feeble argument but it was something.

"Try telling that to the yearbook people. Seriously, I think sometimes they just take any old Joe off the street on picture day." Bell replied, propping her head on her hand as she played with the straw in her drink.

"I'm not really in to the whole year book thing so I wouldn't know." She really couldn't care a less about a book full of photos of people she saw around school but didn't really know.
"Maybe you need to find a good photographer, then you can have really good photos of you they can stick in the yearbook." She wasn't sure if it was even a good suggestion, she was starting to feel awkward but then that was normal for Louisa.

"If only it were that easy~" Bell sighed. "The school employs the photographer, no ifs, ands, or buts about it."
Bell poked at her pasty with her little plastic fork, resigned to the fact that yer book pictures were the ultimate evil.

"Do none of your friends do photography? You could always find someone to do some for you and then swap them with the year book ones. Bribery works for most people." At least thats what she had heard, whether it does or not is a completely different matter.
"If you want, I could take some of you. My parents have made me a mini studio in our basement, it might not be much but it wouldn't cost ya anything and you would have nice yearbook photos." She felt a little too brave offering but surely if Bell hated them that much? That and Louisa really needed to learn to take more photos of humans, they just weren't as interesting as animals.
