I'm curious to know how many of you make corsets part of your daily wear. I know that in some sub-styles of Lolita corsets are commonly worn. What about underneath your clothes?

I wear one under jsks that are snug so that I avoid boobloaf/having to wrestle with the zipper. My other corsets aren't really loli, so they are saved for clubbing ;P

If I had a proper one, I would; and I used to when I owned a good one. It makes tight fitting skirts/jsks look much nicer and helps your posture- but I always wear them underneath everything, and wear a cami under it too.

I only wear corsets as underwear. If you get one that fits properly, they are the most comfortable underwear you'll ever own. I did wear one with nothing over it at a con once, very briefly. I had just come from a day of conning about in and took off a black satin tutu and was sitting in my underwear watching TV. My sister said there was more food to be had in the con suite, and as I am pretty much constantly hungry I jumped up and sought out my clothes. I gave up and threw on my huge white petticoat instead, so that I now wore pretty much exactly what I had on before but in white. My sister just happened to have the exact shoes I was wearing that day in white, too. The person in the elevator had seen me in my black tutu earlier that day and was confused. So I said that was Odette.

I do for ero and guro sometimes, but not for others. Underneath though, it's possible with any lolita style.

naw. I don't like the idea of contorting my body to fit my clothes and my waist size is fine as it is. I'm a believer of wearing clothes that fit my body, not the other way around.

Sweetened with Splenda naw. I don't like the idea of contorting my body to fit my clothes and my waist size is fine as it is. I'm a believer of wearing clothes that fit my body, not the other way around. While i generally agree with that one... I am working on making myself a corset (mostly for the challenge of making one). I'm not planning on having it be super tight on me, but more like how a proper renfair bodice fits - comfortably snug, flattening out the appropriate places. And when i finish with it, if all goes well, i'll be wearing it pretty often, esspecially when i have a dressier day, rather then a jeans and a teeshirt kind of a day.

From what I've seen, corsets are usually decorative and worn outside of your outfit. Though wearing corsets and tightening them until your waist was inhumanly small used to be in style, it's somewhat frowned upon today blaugh

I am a big fan of real corsets (not decorative, outerwear) for lolita. As long as it is not bone crushing, they can be quite comfortable and give a nice shape, as well as holding up petticoats. Just wear a camisole under it, so you don't have to wash it. Steel ribbed ones underbust are best. Timeless Treasure offers good ones but I wouldn't get one with ruffles or bows because it'll make your pretty lolita dress poof in funny places. Yay corsets.

I absolutely heart corsets but I usually only wear them when clubbing or for a special occasion...I have to chase kids around all day so its not too practical for everyday wear.

i recently picked up a couple of waist cinchers and they're AWESOME! i'm relatively thin but my body is not toned at all so sometimes skirts cut into my flab, haha! waist cinchers fix that ;3
i just got them at wal*mart, so they're nothing heavy-duty or a real corset by any means, but they were only $13 and give a nice shape.. so i'm not complaining!
as far as corsets over lolita.. i don't think it's my personal style, but it can look nice over well-done gothic and/or ero lolita.

And, not to nitpick, but if someone wasn't wearing their corset outside their clothing, how could you see it?
