A bright head lifted from the grass, one ear flicking away an unusually shining beetle. The emerald field that the beetle tumbled onto went on all directions, for most of distance that the eye could see. Only the area just west of the small, curled-up Wish was devoid of meadow - this area was where the meadow began, a dark expanse of maple, birch and oak in full leaf. Half in and half out of their shadow, Plur blinked lazily.
"What? Nap's over already?" His low tenor spoke to no one, the beetle scuttling aimlessly around near his paw. How long had he been out? The Wish yawned, stretching himself out - and in doing so, flicking the dust from his fur. His eyeblinding pelt stood out amidst the grass and trees. A thick tail brushed over the earth.
Almost dawn, Plur noted as he turned his back on the sleepy little meadow. It looked a little like it brightened with the onset of day, everything in it brightening and twitching to life. Plur was right there with those things: picking his way around bushes, wiggling his paws in the grass. An errant tree trunk served to scratch his itch as he brushed against it. To sleep through the nightlife he loved, how crazy. He had really been knocked out!
Well. Plur shook himself, looking out at the clearing. At least he'd get a front lawn seat to a beautiful sunrise...

Ever so quiet wing beats gave evidence of someone else nearby, just barely touching the edge of hearing. Misha fluttered along above the bushes, but below the branches, diving down and swooping back up in lazy motions as she enjoyed the pretty colors starting to tint everything from the slowly rising sun.
She wasn't usually awake for the sunrise, but she decided to do something different today. The sky had so many beautiful colors in the early and late hours, but she rarely saw the earlier ones. And that just couldn't do.
So, Misha was exploring the forest, waiting for the glorious day to start. There were a few wishes wandering around, and she could see some still snoozing from perches in tree branches, to little dugouts at the bases of trees.
There was one, though, that was up and about. A very strikingly colored one, whose fur screamed unique prettiness.
So, with nothing better to do, she arrowed towards him, floating quietly above him before ducking her head down to look at him upside down, a happy little smile on her face. "Allo, there."

That... That was not a sunrise.
"Gyah!" Plur hopped backwards, eyes wide as the other Wish's face popped out at him. From the air, no less. What kind of Wish flew? "Uahh... Hi." Flustered as he was, Plur wasn't one to forget his manners, especially when speaking to a lady. And the sound of this lady's voice, plus a sweet cream face made him think that manners were one of those things he should certainly keep in mind.
Even though, that cream face was kind of familiar. Kind of... really familiar. Plur frowned, trying to put together the flying, the face, the voice, the- Wait.
Wait just one minute.
Plur's jaw dropped, his eyes shooting wide as manners were temporarily forgotten. "Do I- I think I know you," he stammered. "Actually, I think I worship you."

Misha chortled, not a laugh but not quite a giggle, and waved her paw dismissively, floating upside down now. "Oh, pish posh. Of course you know me. I mean, well, most people should know me, but then, I suppose there are some that probably don't. You know, the ones that don't care for beauty and such."
She grinned, flipping over and softly dropping to the ground. "Well anyways. In case you're still wondering, my name is Misha. That clear it up for you?" She asked with a crooked smile, her tail twitching in the grass behind her as her wings furled to her shoulders.
He definitely was a pretty colored one. Misha had yet to see something similar to him, which certainly gave her a good start to the day. She loved finding new beautiful things, especially when they were Wishes.

Plur's face was still comically open, struggling to regain his composure. His tail, however, began to twitch - it was already quite composed and rather irked about the idea that some Wishes didn't care about beauty. Of course, Plur knew that such Wishes existed. But the mention of them still never ceased to annoy him.
"But how can people not care about beauty? I mean, really. Everything is beautiful!" He took a few tentative steps closer to the grounded goddess. "And what isn't beautiful can be made to be beautiful, so long as folks care to do it..." He sat, significantly closer to and looking more relaxed in Misha's presence. "Ah, I ramble. Please forgive me, miss Misha." Plur dipped his head respectfully as he said her name.

She laid her ears back, backings a face in agreement with his sentiment. "I don't quite get it either, but eh. There are all kinds, so it's unavoidable I suppose." Misha shrugged, curling her tail around her legs as she shifted her weight in the grass.
When he bowed his head and addressed her as "Miss," though, she waved a paw dismissively, sticking her tongue out. "Now now, no "Miss Misha." Misha works perfectly fine. All those respectful thingamajigs that people put in front of names take away from the beauty that's the word they go by. Missus, Mister, Sir, all that stuff. Pooiinnttleess." Misha said, rolling her eyes on the last word, before laughing again.
"So, what's your name? What word do you answer to?"

The Wish nodded his agreement. It couldn't be helped, but really. Personally? Not caring about beauty was like not caring about life. Or... or not caring about breathing!
Her laughter made him laugh, despite himself. He could see her point, though... Honoring someone by name alone was easy. Seemed to him that everything would be so much easier - and simpler, too - if everyone thought the way that beauty thought. "Just Misha, then. Please call me Plur. That's my only word." He smiled, butt wiggling a little by way of introduction: his tail rose up behind him, waving like a technicolor flag. "I'm going to be the wish to make all of Gaia beautiful! Ah..."
Oh, wait.
"Unless, I mean, that's your job. Er..."

She shrugged casually, grinning at his sudden hesitation. "No worries, no worries. Nothing wrong with getting a little help, especially when there's so much to fix or beautify." Misha laughed, her tail flicking behind her, giving way to her pleasant state of mind.
"So just what made you wake up earlier then the sun today?" Misha asked curiously, head tilted to the side as she stretched forward, digging her paws into the warm dirt.

Plur nodded happily. It was all too good to know that the Goddess of Beauty herself had no problem with his greatest wish. Or course, he was trying REALLY hard not to think of her as the Goddess of Beauty. Even though she was. Nope, right now she was just Misha. Not Lady Misha. Not Miss Misha. Not High Lady of All Wish-dom Misha. Just... Misha. He could handle that.
"I'm usually up this early, so I love to watch the sun," he admitted, tail still a bright light pennant. "I stay up late, and see the sights! The night lights, the clubs, the raves." He had been born at a rave, so he thought - that, or in the middle of some bumbling beautician's nail polish spill. He couldn't be sure. "The nightlife is really beautiful. Have you ever seen it, Miss- Aaah. Misha?" He gazed brightly and intrigued at her fore-stretched form.

She couldn't help but shake her head, her ears laid back again. "No, not really at least. I've wandered around the city now and then, not often though. There are lots of beautiful things, but just as many that're pretty on the outside, ugly on the inside. It makes me cringe." Misha put action to words, a little shiver of disgust making her fur stand on end for a moment.
"But the nightlights are definitely pretty, the way the city is all lit up at night, especially from above. Would you like to go flying with me sometime?" Misha asked with a smile. He didn't look too heavy, so it as long as it wasn't for too long it should be fine.

His eyes widened and lit up, the fur along his hackles bristling in excitement. "Flying? Yes!" 'Yes!' didn't even cover it. Plur had never been anywhere but the ground, and rather close to that. Seeing the world from feathers as fair as the ones on Misha's back must be something completely different!
This smile prospered until the rest of her words set in. And then, Plur's face settled into an expression of utter confusion. "Ugly on the inside?" He flicked an ear, and frowned. "What do you mean? If something is beautiful, then it just is. Right?" His eyes rested on her; then drifted away, as the first pink rays of sunrise stretched over the sky. Plur watched them eagerly. "Like the sun. That's just beautiful. There's no ugliness in it, is there?"

Misha laughed at his excitement for the planned adventure, her tail swishing behind her. At his question, though, she shrugged. "Well, uhm, there are some people and Wishes that are really pretty, but they're ugly inside. Mean, nasty, cruel, they hae really dark centers inside them, I guess is a way to put it. They're simply not nice, and that kinda taints whatever beauty they had."
It was certainly a depressing thought, but again, the world was full of all sorts.

"Huh. Really?" Plur frowned. But her words made sense, he realized - sad as it was. He couldn't just make things look pretty and then, BAM! they just would be. He watched the sun slowly arc into the sky, the tip of his tail twitching as he thought about it. "I guess you see a lot of Wishes and people like that." Plur said, glancing at Misha sidelong. "People who aren't as pretty as they look, and aren't really beautiful. Are you still their Goddess? I mean, they look good... but if they don't have beauty throughout, do they still have beauty at all?"
These were heavy thoughts. But Plur's eyes, though serious, were eager - he was intrigued.

She looked thoughtful at his question, rolling onto her back with her wings opened underneath her. "Uhm, well, yes, I suppose so. I'm the one for anyone possessing any sort of beauty, outer or inner, though I don't necessarily agree with all my followers do. They have free will, and I won't stop them if it doesn't directly involve me." Misha said, hoping that was a decent explanation.
"There are light Wishes, and there are dark Wishes, and then the in-between Wishes like you, that may swing either way. Any can come to me for help or beauty, and I'll do what I can. Some darker sorts can be beautiful inside as well as out, it just depends on what they do with their life." Such deep thoughts! Perhaps they should move to a happier topic, soon.
"So have you been fortunate enough to meet any other deities, little Wish?" She asked, looking up at him with a grin, her tail flicking back and forth.

Plur bristled all up and down his back, listening to her speak. There was so much more to being beautiful than he thought! Misha had given a wonderful explanation, but he was still confused - the depth of this talk was starting to slide right over his head.
He was more than happy when she offered a reprieve. Other deities? "Nope! You're my first one." His eyes widened slightly as he looked at her upside-down, and then closed happily. "I know there are lots of others - but you don't picture them just dropping out of the sky at you, y'know?" At his last words, Plur laughed a little. You didn't usually picture yourself scared witless when one did, either.
