Satanism is the evilization of ancient pagan rites and other religious ideals different from the conventional church. Often the supposed withces were female herbalists passing down oral tradition, and such. At the begining of the the rise of the chirstian power, they would destroy vast works of pagan religion, and even past greek dieties. Some christian temples transfer the image of Zeus to god when making accomodations within the nut-shell of roman temples.

Such features re-emerge consistenly throughout many places if one think as open as Joseph campbell in his work, Hero with a thousand Faces. Beleiving in a totally good versus evil spectrum, blac or white, is too much of a dualistic thinking process. Variations of colors should exists in beleifs.

Something interesting to know is that the decades old established satanistic cults actually borrow chirstian symbols to display Satan. These symbols are truely in essence christians ones such as the upside down cross. Bible 101, all the apostols of Jesus demanded that they'd be haned on the cross upside-down for they didn't consider themselves worthy to die just as Jesus. The five pointed star, actually symbolises man for its five parts (legs, arms, head) and just as well a virgin rose which symbolizes Jesus himself. Unfortunately I forgot the anem of the book I read this info on...I'll meniton it later.
